Interesting twists to the start and end of last night's episode. Nothing like starting off the race with a U-turn right away. Will that give Cord and Jet a chance to close the gap? I'd hate to see them voted off first.

We don't vote people off on AR. That is Survivor.

As for the U-turn--depends on how difficult the detours were. I wouldn't have thought the flags would be too difficult. But I guess the folks just stopped when they knew wear to go and not realizing there were more flags.

But if they had fully read the clue, they would have know, what all they needed to get from the flags.

I know how I would have done it and I didn't see any of them doing it the way I would have. Don't know if my way would have been faster or not, but it sure would have eleminated repeative looking up letters.

Find the Manly 16 Ft Skiff Sailing Club. Find the commodore and tell him I am between the devil and the deep blue sea. That is what they were looking for and there is several repetative letters. There were 3 rows of flags. Count the number of flags in each row. Write down rows 1, 2, and 3. Make a hash mark _ _ _ _ for each flag in the row. Start looking for repeative flags and start filling in the hash marks. I would have approached it like a puzzle on wheel of fortune, but instead of just guessing letters, using the flag code to fill in the letters.

My fingers are crossed that the Cowboys finally get that clue, but I do agree that they are FARRRR behind.

Well, it isn't the first time and her reasoning made sense. We'll just never know for sure since it is all edited.

It really is no different than working together and one figures out the answer/solution to whatever it is they are working on and shares it. We don't know how long folks were working side by side figuring out the flags and what arrangements might have been made during the race in the form of alliances.

So glad the race is back!! I am worried about the cowboys.

I think they should make a rule that you have to do your own riddles. I don't like how they can give each other the answers. The Asian girl who is racing with her dad gave about 3 teams the answer while the cowboys sat there trying to figure it out.

Also, weren't Brooke and Claire supposed to be in this race? I swear they were in the previews.

It was probably a smart move. The cowboys are a very strong team. I didn't watch the season Kent and Vyxsin were on it, but they don't seem so strong to me. If M&L knew the cowboys were last, helping Kent and Vyxsin would be a strategic way to ensure a strong team gets eliminated. Didn't work out that way because of the false pit stop, but had it been an elimination leg, it would have worked. Even better than u-turning a strong team who overcomes it, because it's not so much against them as helping someone else, so the cowboys may not hold it against M&L the way some teams might if it was a u-turn.

They were in the previews, but so were a lot of other teams that aren't on the race. I think they were just red herrings, so we wouldn't know who would be on until it was officially announced.
