OFFICIAL - NON SPOILER Amazing Race: Unfinished Business Premieres 2/20/11

Whoo hoo! Back to back women teams winning the AR! I really wanted the Globe Trotters to win, but I'm still happy with K&J winning :cool1:. Honestly, I would not have been unhappy with any of the final 4.

I 2nd the bummer.
Miami Leg of the Race.
I am thinking it was a week before Christmas when Florida was getting hit with the cold snap. I remember Miami was having record lows, because we were vacationing in Phoenix all week and the Weather Channel kept saying Phoenix was the hotspot and not Miami. The Ocean looked like it was freezing cold with the wind whipping.

Me three. Who did you want to win? I wanted the Globetrotters to win. :sad1:

Triply disappointed....

Don't care for J&K - K's crappy attitude stinks. Though GT's taunting at the end really ticked me off - ridiculous display  Mallory squeals remind me of a 4yr old on Mountain Dew ((nails on chalkboard)).

Zev & Justin - Did they have to be 5 & 5 on the roadblocks :confused3 Otherwise terrible choice... would have loved to see these guys win.

No real final challenge - the trailer park wasn't enough IMO. The memory challenge is a great reminder of where they've been for the viewers. Total miss IMO.

This is my favorite show period and it slipped a notch with this ending.

:guilty: I wanted either the Globe Trotters of the boys to win. Very disappointed. Although I did find myself laughing out loud alot this season. I really enjoyed it until the last leg.

I can't believe they didn't do a memory challenge!! I kept waiting for it and it never happened. I wonder why they decided not to do it. The trailer thing was lame.

So, when does the next season start? :cool1:

I was happy with the final 4 and didn't care which team won. It's such a bummer when a team gets a bad taxi driver though. I loved that K&J, the underdogs, ended up winning. And I thought what they said about their Mom was sweet, especially on Mother's Day.

Ok ending - wanted globetrotters to win.

Would have liked to see a different "final" challenge, but I'm wondering if they changed it because racers were prepared for the memory task now. I think some of the teams on the last races had kept notes of the race for a memory challenge. I was happy to see some "real" challenges instead of the easy ones like on some of the past seasons where there really isn't a place to gain or lose ground...

I wish they would drive themselves at the end - that way no one could have to deal with the bad cab driver...

Laughed out loud at the waxing:laughing: DH and Ds's did not get their pain. I tried explaining but don't think I got my point across. Wonder how the hair is growing back in on Zev and Justin???

Zev and Justin were my favourites,:lovestruc so when they went, I was okay with whomever won. I was impressed with the fact that Jen and Keisha went home, and, before they did this race, they worked in water to overcome some of that fear. They did great with those challenges this year, so kudos to them! :thumbsup2
It is discouraging to have to rely on a cab driver, and Gary and Mallory got a few less than useless ones last night. I felt so bad for them. I loved the GTs, too, and their attitude was usually fun and relaxed.
Amazing Race is still a favourite show, and I will wait not-so-patiently for the next one!:cloud9:

I was hoping Zev and Justin would win, or Gary and Mallory, but was fine with Keisha and Jen winning. Actually anyone but the GT's. I felt bad for Zev during the dance, he just has no rhythm and had so much difficulty with it. And poor Gary and Mallory, getting a bad cab driver. I agree with a PP that said they should have to drive themselves, instead of putting their fate into the hands of a cab driver. Sorry to see the season end already tho.

I wanted any team to win- except them. Oh well, they probably needed the money more than the other two teams.

We were in Lake Buena Vista the week before Christmas. I was looking forward to using the Dolphin's Olympic size pool, but it was too cold.

Congrats to J&K winning...yes they could have driven a 12 Ford Focus from MIA to the road blocks.

.

I think Justin said in both episodes last night that Zev HAD to do the roadblocks because they had to be 5 and 5 going into the last leg.

I was fine with any of these teams winning. I liked them all well enough, but didn't LOVE any of them. Yeah, though, that last leg was very anti-climatic. A bit of a yawner. I also agree about having to drive themselves. I hate when teams get a bad driver -- especially when they are the only team to get one. It is different if they get themselves lost.

I also noticed the GT checked the bags with no intention of claiming them and then we see Gary also ditched his bag. Did the girls as well?

Oh well... I will watch next season, but probably not with as much anticipation. I do hope there will be a couple of rule changes in the new season, too. I think the producers have to do something to liven things up. Maybe it was just that these teams had all done this before, but they all seemed to comfortable with the race -- if that makes any sense.

These are my thoughts, exactly! :thumbsup2

I didn't like K&J their first season. They seemed to mellow out quite a bit this season, and I thought it was awesome that Jen was able to get past her fear of water and get that done. I also loved how they talked about helping their mom, so I'm happy with them winning.

I remember Justin saying that, too, but was that a rule this season? Wasn't that an old rule, that it used to be that they each had to do a certain number of road blocks? But I thought that now it didn't matter. Wonder if they changed it this season or if that was just a Z&J thing, but I thought I heard K&J saying the same thing? :confused3

I agree with the Miami leg being anti-climactic. The tasks seemed too simple. Nothing challenging enough to break the teams up, and it all came down to cab drivers.

Congrats to Jen and Keisha. I never saw that coming.

Even though I really love TAR, that was one of the most boring finales ever.

My kids loved when Zev said Justin was the "race" and he was "the amazing:happytv:

That rule that teams do an even number of roadblocks went in place in Season 6. Back in Season 5 the final 5 teams were 3 male/female teams and 2 female/female teams. The female/female teams did an even number of roadblocks and were both eliminated in the last two episides. The final 3 teams, all male/female teams, had the male members of the team do all but one of the roadblocks. Chip and Kim won that race and Chip did NINE of the roadblocks and Kim only 1. It's just not fair for one team member to coast through like those women did that season.

Now ... I don't think that Zev HAD to do that particular roadblock. But if Justin did it, then Zev would have had to do the last two Roadblocks no matter what they were and maybe Justin was better at the "memory challenge" that we didn't see and he was saving himself for that.

I forgot about this...I was a little bummed that the Globetrotters didn't steal the other cab when theirs was late getting back from getting gas. :scared1: I was yelling at them 'take the other cab!' Sadly, they didn't hear me. :lmao:
