They can call it cheating until they are blue in the face; it's not against the current rules so it isn't cheating.

I can understand people not liking it but calling it cheating is simply an emotional response to having a favourite team ousted. I bet that if it had been the Pinks who were the victim of this so-called "cheating", there wouldn't be as many people up-in-arms.
::yes:: absolutely!

I have no problem with them sharing answers, or helping other teams.

I really wish someone would have U turned Vixen and Kent. he should have been ashamed when Vixen was pulling him in the cart.

I wonder those saying it was cheating, would have felt different if it was the cowboys helping the other teams

Yup I agree with the majority. It was absolutely cheating. I also agree with the previous poster who said that the show should just ask the winning team which teams they'd like to see advance to the next round. That's essentially what this round was.

You may want to read again, the majority didn't think it was cheating.

You have had a busy first 30 minutes on the board. Wow.

I was just doing to say that! I had not said anything previously, but I don't think it's cheating either. It might not be "fair" to share answers with one team and not another but as long as it's in the rules to do so, it's not "cheating".

I also agree with previous posters who have pointed out that its only just now causing such an ungodly uproar because it caused the Most Beloved Cowboys to go home.

I mean honestly, people, I liked them too, but they were NOT the Best Thing To Ever Grace Reality Television. Life WILL go on. If the sharing of answers had caused the Pinks to be eliminated, no one would have said Thing One about it, in fact, it would have been celebrated as awesome strategy over our breakfast cereal Monday morning and you would have been dancing with joy because you no longer had to listen to Kynt whine about his owies.

Its a game, its part of the strategy, its been going on since season one in some form or another. Teams pick and choose who to work with based on who they want to see eliminated, who is the strongest, and who they want to run the final legs with - usually who they perceive as the weakest. The Cowboys have been perceived as one of the strongest teams and had a big ol' target on their backs since week one. Its just how the game is played, folks. Nobody wanted to run the final legs against the Cowboys - they are too dangerous, and the Globetrotters need to watch their backs, because they are probably next.

Yep and this is round 2 for these racers, so they know how strong/weak these players are from previous shows. So their strategy will certainly be different than if they were racing with strangers.

DH finally got to watch this last night. He pointed out the very obvious way TAR should have had this Roadblock done.

They were each given a map with a specific route, that when traveled, the milage would have come out to 22km. Each bike had a odometer mounted on it, keeping track of the mileage.

DH pointed out, there should have been a locked cover on the odometer. Instead of writing the number down on a post card, Marco should have been opening the sealed odometer to see if they had ridden the correct distance. If they had, give them the next clue. If wrong, sent them back to the starting line, where one of the workers where they picked up the bike would have to reset the odometer to zero and let them start again. This would have eliminated all possibilities of any team not actually doing the roadblock.

Also, he pointed out, in the instance of Jen who lost her map, more than likely if she had just found the check in point, her mileage would have been wrong. When she got back to the starting point, she should have had to sit out a waiting period before receiving new map.

Kent is a piece of work. I couldn't believe it when he got into the cart and was pulled back to the station like a little child. He is a whiny, brat and I would love to see them go home.

He can't carry his bag half the time, she is doing all the work.

Do you think the Globe Trotters need the money or want the Title of winning The Amazing Race. I was in Savannah in March, and they played at the Civic Center March 28th. I wanted to stalk over there and see if I could get a glimpse of them, but my sisters wouldn't let me. Both of these guys have to be making a fair amount of money. This is why I am surprised they u-turned the cowboys. It wasn't about the money to them, it was about winning in my opinion.

Yep, the cowboys were my beloved team.

Are you sure it was those two playing,?

I think there are two different troops and FT & BE play on one of them.

I know there are some many different players and then there are guys who just travel and do speaking engagment, so I want' sure what they did, or if they were retired

When the GT's came to my town Flight Time was advertised to be here on the commercials.

This whole paragraph had me cracking up. Especially about Kynt's owies.:rotfl:

Best post on the thread. I liked the cowboys the first go round. Their hearts didn't seem to be in it this time.

Who cares? Many people who dont need the money go on these shows to prove they can do it. Or TAR could have approached them as a cool team to do the race. Survior has gone to clubs to find people. And how do you know the Cowboys need the money, they could be stinkin rich:confused3

And maybe GT will be donating the winnings?

I really liked the Cowboys too but they arent saints, they were nice people and played the game great but they lost twice. If they had won I would have been thrilled but they didnt so I move on...just hope Kent and Vyxsyn dont win:laughing:

I took DS13 and a friend to the Globetrotters game in March in Philly and Big Easy was there. He was a riot. He is the ringleader and wears the microphone, so he talks the whole time while playing. I have a picture on my phone but I dont have time to post it. I wanted to go and get my picture with after but DS said his friend might think we were weird. Boo!

It is irrelevant.

They wanted to play and they are. To make game decisions based on whether or not one needs the prize would be foolish.

It is a game, not a charity.
