OFFICIAL New Animal Kingdom Experiences UPDATE 5/28: Reports from first night in Post #2

Hmm...I'm starting to wonder about fastpasses versus dining package.

Wonder how they'll distribute it.

There are two distinct sides to the stands. I wonder if the stands on the right will be standby only since they could hijack finding nemo's queue for the line.

Then maybe the other side will be dining package in the bottom half and fp at the top?

There are lots of ways they could do it. Maybe first show one side is dining package only and second and third are fast pass.

My itinerary on July 16th is now showing 11PM for AK close but FP+ not bookable past 5pm.

ETA: Now I can pull down times from 5PM to 11PM but no availability for any rides.

Running into the same issues. Trying to book a KS for the evening of July 10th and its saying no results near 9pm, even tho the drop down lists times until 11pm.

They may not release them until tomorrow.

For those of us who will be there on 5/27, do you think there may be a soft opening of Jungle Book? I am pretty disappointed - I have not been in 7 years and not sure when we can get back and now we will miss FEA, ROL, AND the Jungle Book show. At least we get see the other nighttime "experiences" at AK and maybe we can hope for lower crowds now, sans the Jungle Book debut. And this will give me incentive for a return trip!

So, do you think the dining package will be for all the shows or for only certain ones? I can't remember how it is done for Fantasmic.

Oh man whoever told me that I got the late EE FP because the JB Show wasn't opening May 27 really put the jinx on me.....
I guess I will have to jump over to AK on Sunday the 29th after Illuminations and hopefully catch the 11pm show.

My touring plan is SHOT :furious:

I'd love to say yes, as we will be there 5/27, but seems very odd that they'd open it just one day late if there wasn't a reason??

I hope the dining packages are available for multiple shows. I would prefer to go to a later one instead of the 8:45. I guess we will find out soon enough. Surely Disney knows how the dining packages will work already???? It wouldn't hurt them to release a little more information so we won't be in such a mad scramble tomorrow morning. But this is just wishful thinking I guess...

Where did the Flame Tree dining package information come from initially? Did Disney mention that in a blog post or was it leaked by someone else?

I'm also disappointed if that is not going to be an option. I really don't want to spend $50 pp! I may sacrifice one of my FPs instead.

It was posted on the HUB and linked to ROL. Not sure it was ever mentioned for JB?

Yeh, we want the second show. So if the dining pkg is for the first show, we'll do a FP.
