OFFICIAL New Animal Kingdom Experiences UPDATE 5/28: Reports from first night in Post #2

You haven't missed it yet. They have not released any official info yet and hopefully they will on May 20th. Someone posted some "unofficial" show times on their website but you have to pay to see the info.

Yeah, I know - but I'm not paying some 3rd party for show times. I'm funny that way. Disney really should be releasing something already....

I'm with you about Disney. I know a lot of people defend them and say go with the flow and blah blah...but come on. Disney is a huge company, they should be able to post their hours and showtimes a few weeks before they happen.

They must be having some kind of issues for them not to have something out by now.

I didn't pay for the show times, I have a subscription for the character locator! It's awesome! The JB show times were just a bonus.

Yes, the site comes highly recommended and its $6.99 for the year. He has it very organized, gives you the exact schedules and he also has the info on Characterpalooza, and you won't find that info on Disney's site, as it's a "secret" meet that Disney doesn't advertise or even tell guests about if asked. There's more there...crowd calendars and such but I don't use it for that.

Glad we're past the characters stage! :rotfl: Back in the day we just took 'em as we saw 'em. They never seemed too hard to find.

I have a 2 yr old and a 4 yr old (both boys) so it's a big thing for us. And they like specific ones. We do have several character meals scheduled but I wanted to have as much info as possible about the in park meets. And $6.99 is a drop in the bucket.

Our DS was 6 when we started taking our Disney trips - he was happy to just meet whoever we happened to go past. We didn't really go out of our way so much to look for anyone. It is bittersweet tho when they start to outgrow wanting to meet the characters. On one hand happy & relieved to not have to spend time waiting in lines hoping to get your turn before they go on break and on the other hand sad to see them grow up so fast. I remember the first trip years ago that DS said he didn't want to meet any characters. He saw Buzz Lightyear walking past us on his way somewhere and he started to raise his hand to wave then pulled it down real quick & tried to act like he didn't mean to & he sort of glanced around to see if anybody was watching. He will be 19 next week. Now when I think of $6.99 I think of it terms of it being a meal on his college debit meal plan. :rolleyes2 We rarely do character meals any more either unless we just want to try out a place we've never eaten before. They cost too darned much.

If this has been asked earlier my apologies I searched and could not find... What about the rest of the summer?? We come in late August and it still shows 5pm? I suppose we still have dinner options to do but a late night at AK would be soooo cool!

Schedules have not been released. It will probably be open until later, maybe as late as 10 or 11pm.

Can you go to the Jungle book show without dinner? What kind of show is it?
Yes, though sounds like standby is going to be pretty limited (stadium only holds 5,000 and there will be both FP and dining packages for each show, it's rumored). No details on the show itself. Hopefully will be released on Friday.

They've only released updated schedules through July 2 currently. Might be pointing to a July 4 weekend release for ROL, but that is just a rumor. And that might be what started the rumor, lol!

Made my 60 day FP+ reservations last night for July 13-17. Anxiously awaiting switching those FP+reservations to evening hours! Hope they update soon...

HUB check, nothing :( this is crazy. Less than 2 weeks away, No Jungle Book show info, Tiffins doesn't even appear listed on the HUB, no nighttime entertainment hours. I seriously think they will just release everything on May 20th

I agree that it's crazy, but isn't this what they said they'd do -- May 20 release?

I love having the advance info from the HUB, but it would make sense for them to limit how much not-100%-sure info they place on it when it gets shared before they are ready, I would think. I feel like this might be because of how burned they felt after their RoL self-imposed debacle.
