October 8th. I am keeping this trip a secret. My boys asked if we could go to the Halloween party and I told them not this year because we are going in July-August. I told them maybe next year. I will tell them on the way to the airport.

We will be at Polynesian the same time and also I got my tickets already for October 4 th MNSSHP. We can't wait! Please add us to the list on the first page.

ANyone else going on the 4th of October? This will be our first Halloween party and our second time at the Poly. DD7 will be Tinkerbell and DS3 will be Peter Pan. I don't think DH and I are dressing up :confused3 not sure yet. If you see us come say Hi. :)
Hey ex-Jersey girl, Ya Hafta dress up, it's just the DW and myself going, we will be dressing up on Sept. 30 night, but not sure on Oct. 4, maybe if we come up with another costume. See you there. :)

Just order our tickets for sept 28...have ADR's @ LTT, This will be our 1st party, Now I just have to figure out what everyone is going to dress up as!! I decided to pick up the tickets @ will call office there has anyone ever done this B4?? I was going to do the party for 9/21 or 9/30 but 21st is arrival day & the 30th is the night b4 we leave. I am So excited!!:dance3:

We are going on Sept 28th too! We did "Will Call" also. When I did this in the past (for MVMCP), we just had the tickets printed at our hotel in the lobby at guest services (concierge or whatever) - (if staying onsite). Was really easy.

I just bought tickets last night for 9/21. :cool1: It will be our first time!! We have ADR's at Tony's at 5:30. I decided to have to tickets mailed...I just wanted them in my hand!! :teeth: Can't wait til they get here! :hippie:

I got mine today in the mail. I only ordered them Saturday and it was a holiday on Monday so that was very quick. They are so adorable. I love having the hard tickets as they make for great keepsakes. Of course they also are easier to lose:scared1:.

I got mine today!!! I am so excited. We are first timers. We will be there on October 28th!!

Well for once, I think that I am in the minority.....I didn't buy my tickets yet. I have to hold off for a little until the summer $$$ starts rolling in. We are going 10/23 which is a Tuesday so I think that I am safe from it selling out. I do have my fingers crossed though!

Well :) I guess I will have to start looking for a costume for me at least. Very cool lots of New Jersey people will be there! Have been in TN for 2 years and haven't been back since we have used all vacation time to go to WDW.

Not missing anything, except taxes going up, again. See you at the party.

I have been to disney many times. I've been at least once (sometimes twice) a year since I was a baby and I'm now 25 years old. Yet, I have never been to MNSSHP. My husband is a big Halloween person. We are arriving @ Disney on Sept. 14th which just happened to be the same day as the first Party so I decided to get tickets. Plus it's my birthday that day (we will be down there to celebrate both mine and my husband's birthdays  , the 14th and the 17th) so I can't think of any better way to celebrate  . Any tips for us 1st timers there to the Party?
I have to think of a really cool costume. My husband thought of being Mr Incredible but I reminded him of the tights lol :lmao: .
Anyways, I can't wait to go!! I think this board/thread is great. It's given me some great ideas already and also some ideas for new stuff to experiance on yet another trip to Disney. It will NEVER get old because there is always something new to experiance.

I LOVE DISNEY!!!

I'm sorry if I missed something but just couldn't look through every message on here.
Does anybody know the details on Trick or Treating in Downtown Disney?

Thanks so much

We will be at WDW beginning 10/11 and have never been to MNSSHP. Is it worth the money with little children who are usually pooped out by 8PM? Especially the little one!! When do they kick you out of the park if you do not have a wristband?

We are staying at GF so we will be close by, but this party has put a crimp in my spreadsheet of plans for the 10 days I will be there since you need to pay extra in order to go to the MK. I will be paying $1000 for tickets for my family to go to the parks that week! I really don't want to pay any more!!

So I guess my question is...Is it worth it!! I have read all of the great things that are happening, but I feel that MK without the party would make my kids just as happy!!

Thanks!!

As much as I love the party, I do not think it's worth the extra expense if your kids will be out by 8:00. The park doesn't close to day guests until 7:00 so you'd only be buying an extra hour and wouldn't even be there late enough to see the parade or fireworks.

If you think you can make it an easy day, sleep in, spend time at the pool, and then keep your kids up until 10:00 or later I'd go for it. If not then I'd save it for another trip.

That's a hard decision. We went last year for the first time (Me, DM, and DD turned 7 while there) on the first night and had a good time. We are going to be there this year, again, during the time of the first one and still haven't decided to go, or not. Last year, it rained, which put a crimp in some activities. The parade was great (DD loved it :goodvibes ), as were the fireworks. However, you have to line up early to get good spots. We got a lot of candy (which again, DD enjoyed) but it is a lot of money to pay for 3 bags of candy, much of which we ended up bringing home, and even threw some away later. Like alot of kids, my DD enjoys getting it, but she's not a big candy eater. This year, if we go, they'll be another adult in our group, so it'll be even more money.

On the flip side, we've been listening to the music from the parade and fireworks, lately, and DD7 really wants to go again! It may be that she and I go it alone, with my DM and DSis, skipping it. My DM didn't really like it that much. We do have ADRs for LTT that night so even if we don't go, we will be able to see the characters in costume. We're eating at about 5:05. Luckily for us, the later hour isn't so bad since we are from CA and due to the 3 hr. time difference, we tend to get up, and therefore stay up, later. :hourglass

I posted a thread last year, after returning, regarding our MNSSHP experiences, here's the link if you would like to read: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1231593 (with pictures)

Also, we didn't do costumes, but I made us matching Mickey, halloween shirts, which were very comfortable to wear. :goodvibes

FYI, you're supposed to leave the park at 7 p.m. without a ticket (and wristband). Last year, I saw a CM tell one family (without wristbands), just after 7 p.m., that they needed to get their wristbands, or exit the park.

Since you are staying close by at GF, if you skip the party, you could still watch the fireworks from the dock near Narcoossee's. :thumbsup2 Since the kids are young, and haven't been, they won't know what they are missing.

Hope this helps, have fun!
