Hey,

Let me start by saying I did not read this entire thread so if it's already been posted....sorry!

Today when I called to make dining ressie for LTT on Oct 23rd the CM said that it was billed as "a hard ticket event" aka MNSSHP and that tickets would be going ON SALE JUNE 1st!

pirate:

How bad are the crowds on either October 30th or 31st?? Trying to decide if we should plan on an earlier date.

Okay, so DD and I are going Thurs Oct 25 (if there is a party that night officially).

How do you think the crowds will be? We're only a little over an hr away and she has a half day at school, so why not... LETS GO TO MHSSHP :D

Whatcha think?

That is the night we are going! I'm hoping it's not too crowded.

Also, when we went 2 years ago, they will let you into MK at 4pm with your MNSSHP tickets. So, you could have dinner or something before the "Party" starts at 7pm.

Happy planning!

We will go 9/21 if the dates hold up! It's a Friday night, but 2 years ago we went ON Halloween, so I doubt it will be much more crowded than that.

ETA: The CM I talked to yesterday when making ADR's thought the tickets would go on sale 6/1 - but said to keep checking in case they came out earlier. She also said the info goes on the website as soon as the dates become official.

We will be there opening night and it will be our first- we can't wait! I was wondering if there was only one place in the park to get the face painting done. Anyone know? Thanks!

There are two; Adventureland and Toontown. Both lines were VERY crowded.

but I'll double check...well I checked allearsnet, passporter, and here...aha...
Last year it was at Toontown & Adventureland and Adventureland line was much faster.

Hope that helps...I'll add it to tips on first page!

Trish

Regarding the face painting, do you remember exactly where the booths were set up within Adventureland and Toontown?
Also, does anyone recall if Toontown and Fantasyland really clear out after the fireworks- with all of the little ones going to bed, or does everything stay busy until the end of the night? Thanks so much!

More on the face painting -- is it worth the time you wait in line? I know it is free, but we can pay a relatively small amount on face painting anywhere. I'm thinking its not a good use of party time. Am I missing something?

DD got her face painted at the Toontown spot in 2005- we didn't know it was free until we saw the signs. She had it done around 10:45 or so, and she only had to wait about 5 minutes. There were maybe 3 or 4 artists doing the painting, and she was in line behind about 7 or 8 kids.

Long story short- the later you go, the shorter the line (or go during the 1st parade, when everyone else is lined up to watch it).

to get MNSSHP tickets....so who knows...that would be mid may. She did talk about how much fun it is, etc. and got me all fired up again.

Plus I got all my ADRs and for times I wanted!!! Woo Hoo...

You probably have a good point, but I know this a must-do for my girls so I am just trying to figure out how to get it done and waste the smallest amount of time possible :)

1. Is it worth it (3A/1C=~$150) to do it twice? Blackbunny, I see you're going 3 times. Do you do different things each time? Wear different costumes? Will we have to skip things if we only go once?

I'll be honest, I have never seen all the things offered at MNSSHP. This is due partly to time but more so because we are a group of 6 adults that do MNSSHP. Therefore, there are some things we simply avoid, like Toon Town - at least we don't venture that way until VERY late :)

There is a method to our madness. We will be going twice in costume and one night just to enjoy all the activites. We are some of those crazy people who go overboard since we can actually dress up and go into the MK. We usually prep 2-3 hrs getting ready before the party.

WhY? Because we love Disney, we love dressing up, we love making costumes (have done it for a living in another life), and we love the Haunted Mansion and Pirates. It's the perfect mixture for us :)

As soon as I am allowed, I 'll post one of our previous years photo's

With all that being said, I would definately go to one MNSSHP and at the end of the night make a judgement of if you saw and did everything you wanted too. If not, go another night or plan another trip next season :)

If so, one night will do it:banana:
