Ok...sorry if this has been addressed, but I read through a few pages and didnt see it. I know there are separate tix for the Halloween party. But how is that enforced? What if you are in magic kingdom that day? Does it shut down and then people are readmitted with tix for the MNSSHP? I cant seem to find this info anywhere! It seems that would be a hassle. At the same time I dont think this is covered by my park hopper ticket is it?

It is enforced with wristbands and hundreds of CMs whose sole purpose is to look for those wristbands. These CMs are everywhere; on Main Street and at the entrances to the Lands. If you do not have a wristband, you can't even enter the Lands, buy souvenirs or food, enter the bathrooms, go on rides, or trick or treat.

It is a hard ticket, after hours event that occurs after the park is officially closed, thus it is NOT covered by your park hopper ticket and would be an additional cost.

My AAA TA emailed me yesterday saying she had the dates, but the tickets weren't available until May?? Can I ask why you're going to pay a deposit now?

Sorry for the confusion. I was booking my trip, not the Halloween tickets. She gave me the MNSSHP dates for my trip (Oct. 18 and 21) so I could pick and she would get the tickets when they are available.

Does anyone know if they have any Nightmare Before Christmas characters at MNSSHP?

I didn't see any when I was there last year.. just some merchandise...

HOWEVER, has anyone else noticed that the Haunted Mansion is down for refurb from Sept 1-12 and the first MNSSHP is rumored to be the 14th? I wonder if WDW is getting Haunted Mansion Holiday this year :D I hope so!

I never heard of this. Is this something in Disneyland? :confused3

Yes, Haunted Mansion Holiday is a Disneyland thing where they transform the Haunted Mansion into an entire Nightmare Before Christmas theme. Disney World has yet to do the same (though honestly, I'm not too interested in it).

We hope to be going 10/4, me , dh, dd & ds - just need to figure out costumes. I'm assuming it's still going to be very hot right? So we need lightweight/cool costumes.

My sons would love that!

My whole family loves it! When it's there, it's my favorite attraction. I thought they'd have a few little NBC things, but it's a completely different ride, with it's own soundtrack. If you ever have a chance to go, and you liked NBC, you'll be amazed.

Although, on our last trip my 3 yo did said, "now when do we go on the real Haunted Mansion?"

Does anybody have insight or advice as to whether a Sunday night or a Tuesday night would be preferable, crowd-wise? (I am talking late October for this)

I made my ADR's at my 180+10 day(3-13-07) and had no problem getting a 5:10pm ADR for LTT for Sept 14th. Hope that helps!

My TA told me that they weren't booking LTT yet!!! My 180+10 was on April 3rd.
I guess I better try to call myself.

I called Monday (4/16) for my trip and booked LTT for 5:15 on 10/16 party night.
10/13 to 10/20 got everything I wanted. The rep on the phone said tickets should go on sale around May 1 and that those dates with early close were the dates of the party.

kpk89, Kim, Tuesday night should be less crowded. Locals go to the party on the weekends.

We are going Thursday 10/25 with my mom, sister & her son. Can't wait!

Happy planning!

The only date we can go would be 9/14 -- we already have ADRs for Concourse Steakhouse, 7:30 that night. Even if the park is closed, but we have tickets for the party, can we come back into the park?

Obviously, I am a newbie at this! :)

We will be there Oct. 14, 16 & 18 (Yes, we REALLY like MNSSHP). This will be our 3rd year going to the party and our second year costuming as some of Master Gracey's Family. We will be going in costume on the 14th & 18th and just playing on the 16th.

Can't wait!!!

Of course! The park is only closed to people who don't have tickets for the halloween party. If you have a ticket you can enter at whatever time you want and will be given a writstband.

However, if you don't plan to stay out too late you might want to consider getting your reservation a little bit earlier. I think the early parade was around 8 last year.. I woudln't expect you to get to the park before around 9 with a 7:30 ADR at a steak place.
