Basically the only things that we would enjoy, other than the general ambience, would be the parades. Would the cost be worth it for just that?

Our favorite viewing spot is at the railroad station. Would two hours early be enough at that time?

I did see Jack Sparrow, pardon me, CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow does a small show too. That looked like fun and the guy playing the part was amazing.

This would be our first MNSSHP so we would surely appreciate what other more mature (ok, I am lying a tad bit here) couples think.:rotfl2:

Yes yes yes! Even if all you really enjoy are parades, MNSS is just too much fun and it's only like $40 per person.
C'mon.....all the cool kids are doing it! lol:cool2:

Last year we got in with our MNSSHP tickets at 3:50pm. We had ADR's at LTT for 4:20. We simplytold them about our ADR's..they didn't ask anything further or check. The reason they stop taking ADR's at 5:45 is because the party starts at 7pm and a person would have to be loco to want to be EATING when the party starts!

The parades and fireworks alone are worth the admission, but the low crowd levels (except I hear it's busier closer to Halloween) and the Trick or Treating making the whole thing amazing!

Ok, so I called Disney dining again, and manage to snag a table at LTT at 4:10. I am keeping it for now, but part of me is thinking to just skip a TS place that night and snag something at one of the CS locations and get more park time. Ohhh my head hurts:headache: , this is too much thinking. I don't know what I want to do:rolleyes: . If they let you in early, you can still ride the rides I assume am I correct?

That's what we're doing! We're not doing a table the night of the party. We're planning on hitting up Cosmic Ray's at some point during the night. Yippeee! I can't stinkin wait!

Sorry if this has been asked before but has anything come of the suggestion of an additional party at MGM for Halloween?

Thanks

I just called Disney dining and Liberty Tree Tavern is already booked up for September 21. The CM I spoke with told me that the final seating at LTT is for 5:45 that evening. That seems kinda early to me. Oh well, I guess we'll just keep our Kona ADR and keep checking for LTT.

Keep trying because on party nights LTT stays open till 9:30p.

Either they aren't booking the later times yet because tickets haven't gone on sale or the CM doesn't realize that it's open later for the special event and last year the only way the CM could see the later times was by clicking a 'special event' button on his computer and that would then allow him to book the later times.

So keep trying.

I am hoping they do have something at MGM, more for the adults would be great. Just the wife and myself this time we could go to both halloween party's.

sandybobandy, I ain't never been cool a day in my life. Always been the responsible, sober one.

Maybe it is time for a change?:lmao:

Guess I'll go as myself, that would be truly frightening!!:scared1:

I'm so confused! I need to make ADRs on Monday and I want some official dates! DH and I are going w/o the kids for the Race for the Tatse for a few nights and didn't plan on MNSSHP, BUT if they have it on the 8th instead of the 9th as rumored we'll definitely be there! We've done this twice before and had a great time. We dressed up both times, too. It looks like going by the calendar it will be on the 8th cause it closes at 7, the 9th closes later. :confused3

We're in the same boat Shan. We actually planned to go on the 9th, but the park hours sure make it look like the 8th is going to be the right date. I plan to call tomorrow to do our ADR's and I'm still kind of on the fence as to which night to book... Here's hoping dates are forthcoming soon! :wizard:

Good for you! I am still checking everyday~several times a day for airfare. I am getting impatient waiting for Southwest to release their next set of dates.

Well we have made up our minds! We will be going to MNSSHP on the 14th..the first night!

I can't wait! See all of you first nighters there! WOOHOO!

Dinner is booked at LTT for 5:35pm. :)

We are aiming for Oct. 12. From reading this board it sounds like the party goes from 7:00 to 12:00. Do they have trick or treating all night or just at the beginning? Do they run out of candy if you go later? I know my DS would be disappointed if they did (and perhaps my DH as well). I see that someone said there were two parades and a fireworks show. Does anyone know when those fell last year? We are trying to get ADR for LTT once they release the later times. Since we are eating lunch at 2:30 we wanted to wait until later to eat at LTT but I don't want to miss anything. If they continue to do trick-or-treating and you can see everything later is it okay to do a later ADR like 8:00? We are from Denver so 12:00 midnight is only 10:00 in our books. Thanks for your help.

Yes, the party goes from 7:00p to Midnight.

The trick or treating goes all night and I've never seen them run out.

The fireworks were 9:30p and the parades were at 8:15p and 10:30p.

IMHO, I wouldn't eat DURING the party. There's way too much to do and you pay good money to attend the party. I wouldn't make an ADR any later than 6:00p but that's just me.

Have fun planning!

us too! We're going Oct 13 - 20 but still don't have airfare -- come on SW -- I'm checking everyday too!!! :surfweb:

Another question????

Are park admission tickets required with special MNSSHP tickets on the day you go to the party?? I seem to remember they are for these special events.....We have AP's so I never really worry about those things but a few families are coming with us this year and I want to make sure I give them the correct information.

Thanks,
Bonnie:wizard:

During the day, you will need a park ticket to enter any park. If you want to attend the party, you will need to buy a party ticket.

The party is a 'hard ticket' event. It is held after the park is officially closed so you need a party ticket to enter MK for the party. You do not need a regluar park ticket to enter the party; just the party ticket is needed in the evening.

So during the day you can do nothing and relax or you can enter any park you want with your regular ticket. That is up to you. If you want to attend the party, you must buy a party ticket. The park tickets and the party ticket are totally separate.
