We will be attending on October 4 or the 8th. This will be our first MNSSHP. My kids can't wait to dress Up. DD7 is going to be Tinkerbell and DS3 will be either Peter Pan (I'm hoping) or Captain Hook.

I just pulled the hours from the front of the Dis. There is a problem. The dates they have listed as Mnsshp do NOT match up with the times they have listed for park closing. For example, they have Oct 17 listed as a party night, but they have the hours for the MK as 9-9. And the 18th is not listed as a party night, but the MK park hour are 9-7. It doesn't make sense.:confused3

I want to make my ADRs soon, I hope they get this straightened out!!!

Yes, that's been mentioned on this and other threads. For now, I'd go by Disney's posted hours. I've always said the dates on these fan website are unofficial till they are confirmed by Disney.

Hopefully, Disney will release the party dates by mid-April like they did last year.

FYI - I ordered 9 tickets for Halloween night a couple days after they went on sale with no problems last year!!! :goodvibes

Also, Main Street was crowded, but other than that it was very tolerable on Halloween night! :cool1:

Can't wait to go back this year!!!!

Although I have no idea what to dress up as.....last year I was Cruella Deville. That was fun!!!:dance3:

Hey! We are planning are going to our first MNSSHP on September 28. I found on one of the other sites that they put the candy in the Tea Cups; Do they still do that? If not where are the best places to get candy? Thanks for everything.

Okay I am really starting to worry about my choice for the party. My son's birthday is on Halloween so we thought we would go to the party that night after a dinner at Chef Mickey's to celebrate. Has anyone ever been on Halloween? Is it really that bad and should I switch it to another day?

The Trick-or-treating stations are on the park map you get at the party- they have big jack-o-lantern inflatables marking them. They are scattered throughout the park.

The Mad Tea Party is open during the party- no candy there. The Alice in Wonderland characters (and lots of candy stops) can be found along the "secret trail" that goes between Tomorrowland and Toontown.

:thumbsup2 this thread....

I'll add who's going when when we get the tickets if that's ok...

anything else you want?

Hope this bumps us back up!

Thanks for maintaining all of this! :) :maleficenIs it silly to be getting excited about this already... and without even official dates?? :confused3 :woohoo:

Thanks guys for all your help. I agree; it is crazy to get all excited about something that's not even official dates. :lmao:

I ~think~ the candy on the Alice in Wonderland secret trail between Toontown and Tomorrowland is sitting in huge teacups. Okay, it is, I just asked my kids!

I don't think it's crazy at all! We start planning for the next year as soon as we go home the previous year. MNSSHP is a big event we do every year with a large group of friends. I'm glad to see our planned day of the 18th still looks good.

I am new to this thread so I am sorry if this has been asked already but I did not want to have to read through all the pages on here just yet. I know there are dates that everyone says will be the halloween party but when does Disney normally announce the dates to the public? I called today to try to modify my reservations so that it would include the 14th, and when I asked if that is when the first party would be they said that sounded right, but it would probably not be announced for sure until mid June-July.

Last year they announced in April. Most of us think it will be somewhere between mid-April and end of May.

I have a mailing list going for anyone who wants to be notified as soon as the dates are announced. You can join it on my MNSSHP site in my signature.

Thanks! One last thing...how likely is it that they would have the MNSSHP on a Saturday this year instead of Fridays?

We plan on dressing up too. For those of you who have attended before, what is the most commen costume you see on children and adults?

I highly doubt that will ever happen. Saturday is the day that most go to MK to stay late and see Spectro/Wishes. There would be an uproar among regular guests if Disney ever did that.

Even when Halloween fell on a Saturday in 1998 they didn't have a party on Saturday night.
