"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016 - Have Yourself a Very Mickey Christmas.

I believe you can still link your MVMCP tickets to your MDE account and make FPs that way, but I may be wrong.

You are correct, there are no FPs available during the party so any you back would have to be before 7. Your party ticket gets you in at 4pm.

Ok, so the Etsy lady hasn't gotten back to me in a week, so I guess I'm not getting custom tees. I ordered the Mickey/Minnie PJs from the Disney store for the whole family as a backup and they look great. But, will we look silly going to Chef Mickeys at 2pm for brunch in the PJs, then the park at 4? Should I rent lockers to store a change of clothes? We'll have a stroller too, I guess we could put the clothes there. Thoughts? What has everyone seen so far? TIA

I prob would not wear pajamas to Chef Mickey's. I guess it depends on how pajamy they look. Younger kids would be fine. I'd just bring the pajamas and wear a tshirt, then put the top on right over the tshirt. You prob don't need a locker, could just bring a backpack to store the clothes.

Has anyone walked by the Diamond Horseshoe to see if they have an unannounced dance party like they've had in the past with Clarabelle Cow, Horace Horsecollar, and the Country bears?

And now my second dilemma...the PJ bottoms have no pockets, I guess my MagicBand will do. And maybe one of those clear lanyards/pouches for my cell phone?

Yes. Pooh and friends as well.

The dwarfs don't sign either, but no card there.

Actually, I met Pooh and friends at the 11/15 party and they WERE signing! I was really surprised because I had seen them at MNSSHP and received an autograph card. It was taking a lot of time so I don't know whether it will continue, but last Tuesday night they were definitely doing autographs.

Bumping this question -

We haven't done the Christmas party in years and FP+ wasn't around then. I actually don't remember using any FP for rides then.

I was contemplating getting tickets and driving up this Sunday and driving back that night (I know it's crazy, but we are close enough) so this FP+ question is a good one - if you get etickets for the party and you are not staying in any of the hotels, what do you use for FP+?

Also, are the FP+ options only available before 7? So during the party there is no FP?

Thanks in advance!!

I am fairly certain on this but not 100%. I believe you can go to Guest Services and get a hard ticket. You then use that to scan for your entry and FastPasses.

Yes, that's correct. I'm the one who posted the original question and I went ahead and called ticketing and this is the answer I received from them. We will go to Guest Services and get hard tickets to use for the FP+s I have set up between 4:00 and 7:00.

Thank you so much for this review.....we were pretty set on going anyway, but your review makes me happy! Good view for the parade, seats for the fireworks, decent snacks...what's not to love? I get the time issue, but we splurged on two parties that week.. (There's only two of us), so I imagine we will have seen almost everything we want to see by the end of both. A slower, relaxing pace suits me just fine! And then we will still have 1.5 hours to run around after the fireworks to do anything DD wants to do before we leave. Yippee!
in my experience, seeing the parade and the fireworks takes that amount of time anyway. Maybe you could leave main street, ride one or two rides and come back for fireworks but if you want to do those two things ANYWAY you're talking a significant time sink. Also we are getting an extra half hour at the beginning as we would have started saving seats for the parade at 7:00 curbside main street.

So without party, 7pm - 9pm parade saving and viewing, leave main street from say 9-9:45 and come back 15 minutes before wishes.

with party, ride rides until 7:30, check in at 7:30 for parade... parade saving and viewing until 9, then dessert eating until and through wishes.

IMO not much of a difference in the time it takes to do those things... esp if you spend any time at all waiting in treat lines between parade and fireworks. If the parade ends later than 9:00 (I'm just guessing based on 8:30 step off in frontierland) then it truly is a wash timewise.

I too need to know this.
the FP+ options are only available with a window ending til 6:30. IF the system allows you to make one later it will eventually cancel it.

Can someone help with my plan? I keep going back and forth as to what to do. Our main character meet and greet is the Seven Dwarfs. We are lining up for them first, probably around 4:30 in hopes of being done by 6:30-7. I am with 2 kids that would love to see Nick and Judy as well, and that is where I am struggling.

Our original plan was to do all the special shows and parties until the fireworks at 10pm, then basically stay on Main Street for the fireworks, Mickey's Most Merriest Celebration, and then the 11pm parade. However, I recently saw someone post that they met Nick and Judy right after the fireworks and waited about 30 minutes (that was at a sold out party). If we attempt this, but don't see the first parade, we would be risking a lot if the line is longer than 30 minutes and would miss the second parade. But I really don't want to sit on the curb for an hour+ to grab a spot on Main Street for the parade, and we want to see it on Main Street.

So, is every spot on Main Street taken really early for the 8pm parade? Am I being completely unrealistic in thinking I can see the 7 Dwarfs, Nick and Judy, Parade, Fireworks and Mickey's Most Merriest Celebration?

I believe if you have an existing MB (from a previous trip, for example), you could use that too, assuming it is all properly linked in MDE.

We decided to cancel our Christmas week reservation a few months ago and I have resigned myself to the fact that I wouldn't be seeing Christmas decorations at Disney World this year. And then I had a brilliant idea! My oldest turns 11 on December 15th and there's a party that night, so I'm going to take her and her best friend "out to breakfast" the morning of her birthday but really I'm driving to the airport and flying all three of us down for the Christmas party that night and then we'll head back to New Jersey the next morning. I know it seems a little excessive for a birthday but I just love me some Disney at Christmas! I know my daughter is going to FREAK out when she realizes where we're going. Her best friend has never been so it will be exciting for her, too. Already booked our room at ASMu, next up is flights and the party tickets! We have gone to this party to other times in the last four years and I am happy to see they finally changed up some of the dessert options!

Just saw this and wanted to let you know you are not the only one that does things like this. Last December 26th, I decided that I was going to take my DS6 to Disney for his 7th bday, December 28th, mostly because I had never seen the Osborne Family Lights and wanted to see them before they were gone forever. So in two days I planned it all and off we flew on his bday, stay at a relatives that night and spent the next day at DHS and flew back the next day. It cost me a fortune but was so worth it.

We ate in PJs at Chef Mickeys and no one batted an eye. Do what you want to do - you're clothed and appropriate.

your profile says you are male but I will share this tidbit a friend of mine shared with me anyway.

The difference between PJs and "Loungewear" is whether or not you take off your bra, lol. I think as long as you are wearing "outside appropriate" undergarments and the PJs are not see through, there is not a whole lot of difference between a t-shirt and a pj top or lounge pants and a pj bottom. Unless you are talking about the kind of pjs that button down and are flannel, in which case yes they look like pajamas so I might just layer them with a tshirt under the button down top and maybe wear the "lounge pants and tee" to dinner and add the pj top when you're done.

Also you're at disney and you're eating dinner with a 5' woman in a 6' mouse costume. Pretty sure formal rules of dress are out the window at that point. Just do not wear anything obscene or inappropriate, see through or that you wouldn't want to be seen in public in. JMHO of course, people may still give you the stinkeye but imo that's their problem.

How are the fireworks different from the regular non MVMCP fireworks?
they are choreographed to a different score than Wishes and there are parts of them that are "360" when you are standing in the hub and on main street where fireworks are going off all around you. It's impressive. From a distance (like contemporary) it looks like a long string of fireworks
