"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016 - Have Yourself a Very Mickey Christmas.

I'm curious as to how this would work. Let me get this right, so if I create two new "family members" within my MDE profile, then purchase MVMCP tickets, I then link those to the new family members (my and my BFs middle names?). Can I still use the same Magicband? Sorry, I'm new to this! Also, if it's under our middle names, do they check ID?

The whole idea is the ticket and the magic band need to be on separate profiles. You will use the magic band to access the park and for your first 3 FP+'s, and use the MVMCP ticket for party access and other FP+'s. The actual ticket is RFID enabled and functions exactly like a MB for fast pass purposes.

No one will check ID. I was just there and used 5 different profiles with men and women's names and no one batted an eye.

Does the MVMCP RFID card actually allow you to prebook 3 FP+ selections 30 days out or 60 days out linked to a resort reservation? Or does it just serve as a set of 3 SDFP+ selections as mentioned in the SDFP+ post?

I have utilized the SDFP+ with bands linked to another profile in MDE, but was interested in pre-booking 3 FP+ on my normal ticket for Epcot in the morning, and 3 FP+ prior to MVMCP at the 60 day mark, if possible.

We already bought our MVMCP tickets and they're in our names (exactly like our Magic Bands). Can I now create new profiles and change the names on our party tickets to match those profiles in order to get double the FP+ on our party night?

Hi everyone! This year will be our first MVMCP and I'm really excited!
The current plans were to go on Thursday, Dec 08, but we may have to switch to Tuesday, Dec 06...
I know that Tuesday is typically a smaller crowd than Thursday, but just how much of a difference is there? I would prefer the Tuesday date, but due to others joining us, we may have to go on Thursday instead. We haven't bought tickets yet because I knew it might come down to this.
Will there be that many more people on Thursday as opposed to Tuesday? Or is it really worth it to try to move everything else around and make Tuesday work? We were really hoping to make it to one with "low" crowds (which I know isn't what it used to be, but it's still important to us)
Thanks!

If you link the MVMCP tickets and the regular park ticket to separate profiles, you can make 2 sets of 3 FP's for the same day.

I purchased my MVMCP tickets under my "main" MDE account so they are currently linked there. Am I able to unlink those and relink them to another account? Or are they like magicbands and once they are linked you can't change it?

Do we have a list somewhere of which parties sold out last year? I know touringplans has a list of which parties they anticipate will be the least crowded and all, but they don't seem to have consistent information about which parties sold out and when from last year. http://blog.touringplans.com/2016/04/07/least-crowded-disney-world-christmas-party-2016/

We're considering the first party after Thanksgiving but I'm worried it'll be packed since it's the first one available after a week of no parties.

The link you shared does tell which parties sold out and when they sold out. I did search about a month ago, and that blog was the only one I could find.

Okay, thanks. I wasn't sure if their information was exhaustive or not.

I just bought tickets for December 18 for myself, my mom and my 2 kids 10 and 12. This will be a short trip for us, Dec. 18-22, so the party will be our only park day. It will be our first MVMCP and I'm pretty excited. We went to MNSSHP 5 years ago and while the kids and I enjoyed it, my husband did not, so he and my dad plan to park themselves at ESPN Club and watch some football while my mom and I take the kids. :thumbsup2

Yes, all unused tickets are transferable within the same MDE account. Make your "phantom" profiles, then go under "Reservations and Tickets", find the tickets, then click on "reassign tickets"...

The tickets can be transferred, but doesn't the actual ticket media (MB or card) remain assigned to the original person?

Correct. I know that is an issue with SDFP but not sure if it is an issue with FP+ with ticket media. Unfortunately, I won't be able to test this out until closer to the party date. I assume that if you switched tickets and made FP+ reservations under a different profile, the ticket media would somehow have to point to that profile.

Awesome. Thank you! I will just have to make sure I remember to bring our party tickets with us instead of just relying on magicbands.

When can you book the FP+'s for the pre-party 30 days? 60 days? ...if they are no longer connected to your MDE with room reservations.

Thanks for the info, it looks like we'll be doing the party twice. I am beyond excited for this trip, it will be my first trip in over 25 years and my DW's and DD5's first trip.
We have been and I would say twice is insane overkill for a 5 year old. We love all things disney, but even with a rest two nights getting back to the room around 1 AM with a child could ruin a trip. And staying for only part of the party is a waste. One good start to finish night worked well for our group (with a 5 and 8 year old) We were able to do everything and then some. Good luck!

Ditto. Have the dessert party booked. but most likely will cancel. Need to see the reviews though before we make the final decision! Mom has mobility issues so that is why I got them....but the price is crazy tho! The last time we went to a regular wishes dessert party was 2 years ago and it was just under $30 per person!

This is exactly why I got tickets too. I really wish I could figure out if its going to be a waste of time/money. Without reserved seating, I am worried that people will block her view.

Okay, am I reading this right? If I have tickets the same day as we intend to go to the park, we can only choose 3 FP+ on the magic band and if I want to choose FP for the party I should create a fake profile and move the tickets to those profiles? Problem is we are staying onsite so can't create fake people on that account as it would appear more people are staying in the room than reality...so if I create a fake profile and move them then it would have to be for an offsite stay therefore not being able to choose FP until 30 days out for the party. Correct? Or am I confused? Lol

Ok, so I just added 4 friends to my MDE account using our middle names and last name. Then I reassigned each of our MVMCP tickets to the corresponding middle name. Now I just need to remember to take the plastic cards (party tickets) when we go since I guess the party tickets not on our Magic Bands anymore. I assume we will need to use the cards and NOT our Magic Bands to enter the park since we're not going to another park that day. We're just going to MK at 4pm for the party. Is that all I need to know?
