"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2015 Thread - Rockin' Around the Cinderella Castle!

Another question about print at home tickets.....its our first party!!
We have our regular tickets on one account and party tickets on another account. We will enter MK around 1pm with regular tickets. I know we will need to exchange our paper print at home tickets for the plastic cards for the party. Will we need to re-enter the park using our plastic cards so that the cards will work for fastpasses or once we exchange the paper tickets for plastic will they cards be ready to use for fastpass? Thanks so much

We just bought tickets for the last party. I know it will be super crowded but we will manage. I just couldn't say NO to this party.

We went to the party on the first night, 11/8. We had such a good time. My husband waited in both the 7D line and Jack Sandy Claws lines with me. He's a trooper. Crowds were quite manageable and waits for the rides were pretty short. We wanted to ride SDMT later in the evening when the waits seem to be hovering around 30 minutes and then it went down and stayed down until we left the party. :(

Loved the parade!! The toy soldiers were awesome. And the fireworks show was just fantastic. I'm so glad we went!!!

The only disappointment were the cookies and lukewarm chocolate milk. Luckily we ate enough other stuff to make up for it. :D

No, but people start lining up for them early so that they spend as little party time as possible in line.

I was going to line up for the 7 Dwarfs around 5:15-5:30. Would that be good or is the line already crazy for them? This is the one M&G I really want a photo with.

You'll have to exchange the paper ticket for a plastic card.

Ok, this is the first time I’ve heard of that. I didn’t know that you needed to exchange the paper ticket for a card. Where do we do that? My sister and cousin have theirs linked to their magic bands but I did the print at home option. Can I get the card beforehand or will I end up wasting time getting it while they have to wait for me? We will be at the MK the day before, can I get the card then? Sorry for the ?s…first trip, first party. Not sure how this works.

UGH. Glad I read this now so I can show up early to do so instead of going to the turnstile at 4pm. Why would they even make this an option

I've never been to the party but clearly on my at home print tickets it states to go right to the turnstile.

Bring Your Tickets Present eTicket(s) at the entrance turnstiles where directed. You will not need to wait in Will Call or Ticket Purchase queues.

How long did you wait for Jack and the Seven Dwarves?

To be clear, exchanging for a card is only necessary if you want to redeem FP you have scheduled before the party. Otherwise, there's no reason to do this.

That's what I thought I read also; you can go straight to the gate. That's what confused me. I'm at work so don't have access to my ticket but I thought you went straight in.

One more question. I only have Christmas party tickets and chose fastpasses but I have a magic band for my room and my party tickets are linked to that. Wouldn't the band work for my fpasses? The rest of the days I am using main gate guest passes with a CM in which he scheduled my fastpasses.

I could be wrong, but I THINK the only reason to need a plastic card is if you have scheduled fastpass+ between 4pm and 7pm (and don't have a magicband to link the ticket to) The print at home tickets will get you in and you'll receive a party wristband, nothing else is needed for the party. It's just the fastpass+ turnstile that needs either a magicband, or hard ticket.

That's the time I got in line for them at not so scary, and I was the third group in line (went there after Jack and Sally)
By that point in the schedule, the end of September so several parties in, they were coming out at 6:45.
Getting there at that point should put you in prime position to meet them early and not spend party time waiting for them.

Yes, that should work.

It seems my question about exchanging the print at home ticket for a hard ticket has caused some confusion. I'm sorry about that. As mesaboy2 and DisneyDebbie stated, this is only an issue if you schedule fastpasses between 4:00pm and 7:00pm AND don't already have a magic band on your MDE account that your party tickets are linked to. My DD and I both have magic bands linked to our MDE account and our party tickets are linked to that account, so we can use our existing magic bands to access FP+ with no issues. The reason I asked the question was because I purchased a party ticket for a family friend and there isn't a magic band linked to that party ticket. I was trying to figure out the easiest way to get her access to the fastpasses I've booked for us.

If you have magic bands linked to your MDE account, you're fine.
If you don't have and don't intend to have FP+ for the time period from 4:00 to 7:00, you can enter with the print at home ticket with no problem.

Actually, they have to be scheduled between 3:30 and 6:30, but yep, that's why I said that the print at home ticket would have to be exchanged for a plastic ticket.

Do you remember about what time you met the elf and reindeer? I know this one is not a published or advertsied meet and greet so it's very hard to find any info on the times they are out and about. Do you have any idea if they are out the entire party or if it's only at certain times? And think you for the detailed review on the characters! It was very helpful!
During the fireworks! Don't miss them, they are so much fun!!!

How long did you wait for Jack and the Seven Dwarves?

We lined up for the Seven Dwarves around 6:15. They showed up about 10 minutes before 7. The line was already pretty long by the time we got there at 6:15. I think we were in front of them at around 7:20 or so, so slightly over 1 hour.

We went to see Jack later in the night, probably 9:30 or so and waited around 45 minutes.

Is the snow only on Main Street? And does it happen throughout the whole party or just during the parade??
On Main Street and around the tree. Snow was constant throughout the ENTIRE parade and at random times throughout the party as well. It was incredible!!!! :D

And don't forget, Osborne lights have lots of snow as well....nightly!

Ok, I do have PF+ from 4-6pm before the party. So I do need to get a card then. Where do we get them and can I pick it up the previous day to save time?

So, those of you making the FP+ on party day, are you going in using another ticket media before the party? I was under the assumption that having the MVMCP ticket won't allow you to make FP selections. Am I right or wrong? Thanks!
