"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2015 Thread - Rockin' Around the Cinderella Castle!

Have a question about tickets and memory maker. If I have a park ticket for Magic Kingdom and a separate ticket for the party on the same day would I need to purchase a seperate memory maker for that night? Also would I need to return to the entrance to get the special wristband for that night or could I get it that morning?

If you have already purchased MM, any photos taken at the party will show up in your account.

Regarding the wrist bands, if you are already inside MK you will not need to leave and re-enter; they will have CMs stationed throughout the park beginning about 4 pm to distribute party bands.

Oh ok. thanks! I would need to show my hard Christmas ticket to get the band though right?

I know for the first Halloween party, they only seemed to have the CM's giving out wristbands in front of Monster's Inc Laugh Floor. Not sure if they were in other locations.

We got our wristbands last year by Philharmagic. They scanned our MB to verify we had tickets and then gave us our wristbands.

Does anyone know what of the MVMCP things will happen in the parks once the parties are over? During Xmas week? I understand that the 3pm parade will be the xmas one and the wishes will be Holiday wishes.

Hi All -

My 7 year old doesn't care at all about the character meets so we tend to skip them. This year I'd like to do one to see if we can get a good family picture. Since my son doesn't have any character preferences we don't need to do a popular one. Any recommendations for characters that tend to have really short lines? My son is on the autism spectrum and gets very shy at meet and greets because it's hard for him to figure out how to act, so it's helpful if we can find a character that can roll with that.

We are going to the MVMCP on Nov 17th and were finally able to get an ADR for CRT for 7 at 8:40pm but we know this means we will miss Celebrate the Magic and Holiday Wishes. We did CRT the last time we were down and our oldest kids really liked it (they were 6 and 3 at the time, they are now 9 and 6) and it was one of the few things our 3yo remembered doing. We now have 3 kids and our youngest is 2 and has never been and would prob like the princesses. We are also scheduled to do the princess bfast at Akershus on another day but have not been able to get an ADR for out entire party. So we are trying to decide if its worth it to miss the special Christmas stuff at MK during the party (plus just the whole idea of missing a sizable chunk of party time) or if we should drop the CRT ADR instead. Thoughts?

My son is also on the spectrum, he's a teenager now but characters used to make him very uncomfortable. The only characters he liked were those not in a full costume like princesses. He's overcome his issues now but it did take a while.

Personally I would try to change your ADR and view holiday wishes, the fireworks are really awesome at the parties. Maybe a better time will open up as it gets closer.

I honestly don't see what the point is of going to the party if you're going to miss some of the party-specific stuff, not to mention just missing out on at least hour of a 5 hour party.

I agree with PPs, I would drop dinner at CRT. I wouldn't want to pay all that money for the party just to have a huge chunk of all the special events you're paying for be eaten up by a dinner reservation that isn't exclusive to the party. Also, I felt the food at CRT was overpriced and subpar, so on top of paying for the extra tickets I wouldn't want to pay for what I considered an ordinary meal in a unique setting, since CRT is not cheap. I would either look for an earlier time to open up or try to reschedule it for another night. It's a fun experience but I don't think it's worth wasting special party time that was also an added cost.

Can't wait to see what the popcorn buckets look like

If it is same one I saw on Streets of America the other day it is Mickey with a green elf hat... Basically the canister is red and green with Mickey like an Elf... If you search Mickey elf popcorn on Google you can't miss it

I think there are a lot of good reasons to go on a party night even if you miss some of the festivities. Technically you can get into the park at 4:00. That's a good 8 hours of park time if you can make it until midnight. And it's $75 as compared to park day when it's $105. Unless you typically spend all 12 hours at the park the 8 hours for $75 may be a better deal. Even if it's not equal 100% in value at least in those 8 hours you can probably get in 2 FPs, enjoy shorter line time, and still have access to characters and some shows.

Sure eating dinner may take a way from some of the specialty Christmas party events but if you don't mind missing some you can still enjoy a lot from 4:00 - 12:00 while still doing a TS meal.

Now if you want to get in every character meet and greet and every MVMCP event then dinner doesn't make sense. But for people who want a mix of just being in the park for 8 hours at $75 and who want the rides and then to experience some of the special events then I think it makes a lot of sense.

Also, other than Wishes, most shows occur multiple times throughout the night so I would imagine even with a dinner you'd get to see most shows.

That is cute... but I don't know how I feel about taking Mickey's head off to eat popcorn from his brain area.

If the PP is already going to parks on other days, the $105 cost you cite would not apply, and it could be as little as $11.
