The Liechty family will be there Nov 17th also. Is there a touring plan out there for MVMCP? We've been to many of the MNSSHP and have an idea of what to expect. But the chances of us going again to the MVMCP will be slim until DD is done with High School. So I want to soak it all in and do as much as we can. It will be a no park day for us and we will enter at 4. And there are some characters we will want to see. And all the shows and wishes and parade. Yes! A plan is necessary

If you look at the first post I have a link to the party from last year I have almost like a touring plan I made last year it includes me getting to all the shows, meeting the characters, and where to get the best photos at.

It truly is such a magical time you need to do it at least once

sorry if this has been posted already - When do the tickets actually go on sale? i know 'april' but i can only do the 8th November which happens to be the first party night so i need a bit more info to ensure i get a ticket.

We are going November 30th. Christmastime has been on my bucket list forever and my DD has an extra long Thanksgiving break this year so it can finally happen! Halloween party has been my favorite Disney experience so cannot wait for Christmas!

DH will be there 12/9-12/13 celebrating our 1yr anniversary. Plan on going to the party 12/10

We are going to be there to run in the Wine and Dine half and I was so excited to see the first night of the party will coincide with our visit. We are planning to go to the party on November 8.

That's our plan as well! We also hope to go to the last mnsshp. I have a feeling there will be a lot of us wine and diners there. We should all meet in front of the castle with our medals for a giant photo.

The last time I went to mvmcp there were ten people from my family, we all wore ugly Christmas sweaters and got amazing pics in front of the castle.

My family had two sayings at Christmas time:

It's- not Christmas until someone is embarrassed by family members wearing an ugly sweater.

And

-its not Christmas until somebody cries.

There won't be so many of us there this year, but I totally recommend wearing the ugly sweaters to everyone. The cms really seemed to love seeing them.

I LOVE this idea! I wonder if I can get DH on board. (Maybe if that's all I pack for him! ). Were the sweaters hot?

Oops honey, looks like you've worn all your clean shirts for the trip except this one. What a shame.

Really, it feels a bit awkward to think of doing that, but when your at the party you'll be so glad to have that little extra something.

It was actually a little chilly that party night. I thought the sweaters felt great. The grumps of the party did end up taking them off after the pictures.

It was great running onto splash as a group and as we all passed the cm at the entrance she practically fell over laughing. Always a good thing to be able to pass some happiness onto the cms.

I thought my brother in law was probably the best. He had on a kitten sweater with sparkly cotton balls that was clearly much too small for him.

The best part was, all these sweaters had been purchased for my two sisters and I over the years by our grandmother. One of them was even big enough to fit my dad ( we were all pretty small kids so no idea why she got us one that large).

In fact, we should start a contest on this thread. As we get closer to the first party, everyone should post their ugly sweaters they're going to wear to the party and we can vote. I'm willing to send the winner a gift card good for one dole whip/mickey bar of winners choice.

You know that's axrually not a bad idea at all where would one find these ugly sweaters? We already did the cute Cheistmas photos so why not get in with the ugly sweaters lol.

Well I find my Christmas sweaters in a box in the attic courtesy of my grandmother.

But if you didn't have a grandmother with questionable taste in Christmas apparel, I suggest thrift shops around Christmas season, some stores even make sweaters in the aim of them being ugly Christmas sweaters. Try and Google ugly Christmas sweater, I bet a bunch pop up.

There are some websites and etsy stores that sell them, apparently. I'm going to routinely check my local thrift shops. If all else fails, I can come up with something with a little fabric paint, a few appliqués, and a lot of glitter.

I think this is a great idea. The pics would make the best Christmas Card. I noticed last Christmas that Kohls had kits to make your own ugly Christmas sweater.
