WOW!!!! That is super exciting!!! Thanks for sharing!!! Now I have to work it into our itinerary somehow....

Just read the link and sad news for those of you who had your heart set on seeing Wishes this summer....

It is being temporarily replaced by Magic, Music and Mayhem, the fireworks show from the short-lived Pirate and Princess Party.

But on a lighter note, they also said there will be some new additions to the Tower of Terror!

I am very excited about both of these. I haven't seen the Main Street Electrical Parade since I was a little girl at Disneyland. And as much as I love wishes I have thought that the Magic, Music and Mayhem show looked good so it will be interesting to see. I hope it is good though because I had planned on seeing Wiches twice, once from the park and once from the beach at the Poly.

Okay summer folks! Looks like I was wrong about the Pirate and Princess Party fireworks....there will be an all new show, themed towards the summer. It's all part of this "Summer Nighttastic" celebrations. Here is a link to the announcement.

Well, that will be fun to see something else new. I am very excited about seeing the Main Street Electrical Parade, it brings back many memories. Now, I really hope we can still go over spring break so we can see Wishes and Spectro again.

FYI: Room only special (20/30/35/40) was just extended through 8/14. Look under special offers on the WDW website!

We always got to MK first. Last year we had only 5-day tickets (Military deal) so we skipped a park that first day and went to the waterpark--it was a nice way to relax after the plane ride down. We moved around, did the slides, floated, then went back to the resort to have dinner and crash. Still, it was hard not going in for Spectro or Wishes, so this year we will probably go in just for a little MK atmosphere!

I agree with the space--we have 2 kids, but a DD16 and DS13. We need the extra space(and the extra bed). Our next trip may be a 2-rooms at a value, just for the space.

thank you so much for the tip I just went to my AAA agent and she got me the 30 percent off THANK YOU!!!!:yay:

I called for the discount and found out we had the 20/30/40 pin code! Switched from BC standard room with deluxe dining to room only BC Deluxe Club Room.

Here's the best part - the BC Standard Room rack rate was $340 - the BC Deluxe CL room with the discount is $324! The regular rack rate for the Deluxe CL room is $540 - we saved over $200 a night. Really, really adds up when you're staying for two weeks.

We had this room last year during the 7/4 special and didn't think we'd be able to afford it this year since we're buying new APs and TIW. I feel like we hit the lottery!!!

Oh, the youtube is too much - is it JUNE YET????? I can taste the turkey legs now... *sigh*

I got a 20/30/40 discount on an email a couple of months ago - and they gave me a good discount on my cabin! I wasn't sure if it would be a moderate discount or a deluxe discount - if my math is correct, it worked out to be about a 35% discount - cool!!!

:yay:I love hearing that we are saving money! So far a general public discount hasn't been able to beat our military deal. I keep hoping for a 4/3 deal because I think that will be slightly better for us. I know without the 40% off, we wouldn't be in Poly CL over a holiday, that's for sure!:yay:

I added an ADR! I read somewhere, someone asking about the times for breakfast at the Whispering Canyon Cafe and that led me to looking up the breakfast menu and that all you can eat canyon skillet looks delicious!

Tom was a little hesitant because he didn't want to get up really early just to go to another hotel. I called WDW-Dine and they server breakfast until 11:30 so I got an ADR for 10:00. We had planned on renting a boat on the Sassagoula at POR but this might be a great time to rent a boat after breakfast and go out on Bay Lake/Seven Seas Lagoon! We've done that once before when we stayed at the WL and it was a wonderful afternoon! Any way we can stay out of the crowds as much as possible.....

Great idea on the boat rental Nikki! We have done that several times. Sometime we have rented a pontoon, which is very fun to drive, and last summer we did the mouseboats/sea raycers. It is fun over by Bay Lake because you can get fairly close to where the old Discovery Island was and the former River Country. Honestly, we rented a sea raycer over at CBR, and did not enjoy it nearly as much.

Same here! I never thought we could do CR Club. Have you done the Poly CL before? It is wonderful. I was really torn on going back there vs the CR - but we have not stayed at the CR since they remodeled and the kids wanted to try it again.

We have never stayed CL before. We stayed at CR last summer, though, and loved the rooms there. The resort was wonderful, and we loved that quick walk to MK in the morning and quick monorail ride back to CR.

You will love the Poly Club! Have you checked out Tikiman's website about the Poly? It has a lot of good info on the Club. The Hawaii building is an awesome location and it is just such a pleasant place.

You guys are going to think I'm completely nutso! But I've just spent the last half-hour or so trying to use my few years of spanish to translate the website of the Brazilian Tour group!

I went back to my pictures from last summer and was able to read the name of the company on the back of a shirt! They have the complete itineraries and everything! Might be helpful for those of us who want to avoid the parks that the groups will be in that day. It seems they all stick together and last year we were unfortunate enough to have about 3 days with them. They don't have the July dates listed yet but I'm planning on checking back to see when they are up!

It looks like this group, in particular, only goes in January and July. I'm sure there are other groups, too, but this was the one that I know for sure I saw last year.

DH thinks I'm insane! So for those of you as insane as I am...

I don't think you are insane at all! Last summer, I came home and looked up "Brazilian tour groups" on the internet. I had also remembered a few of the group names at the time. I vowed I was going to do the same thing this year.

From what I remember, when we went over the 4th two years ago, there were very few, if any groups. But, every time we have gone later in July they are out in force. So, I think early July will be tolerable in that respect. Last year was amazing wasn't it?

SO what did you figure out? We met several groups last July and no problems. We just zigged when they zagged and pretty much avoided them. (Isn't Portugese the language of Brazil?)

Ahh, good to know! Yes it was odd, the timing of our trip just seemed to perfectly coincide with the tour because when we got back from our cruise and spend the day in Epcot on August 1st, we did not see ONE tour group. It could have been that they just weren't in that park that day but it just felt like they were gone.

I only have this ONE group's name but as soon as they post their tour dates, I will let you all know!

Sorry! I hope I didn't offend by saying "spanish." I didn't know that Brazilians spoke Portugese! I think the languages are similar enough that I was able to make out the gist of it!

I really didn't mean for that original post to come off negatively towards the tour groups at all! They never really were a problem for us, just that there were so many of them and the parks were so crowded as it is, I figured it would be that less crowded going to a park where they aren't, ya know what I mean?
