Only a couple weeks left!!!!!!!!! I am sooooooo stoked! :goodvibes

I had laproscopic surgery last week so once my post op visit is all clear, then the early stages of packing shall commence :wizard:

Yeah, but it's a GREAT problem, isn't it? I was so happy when DD became tall enough for the "big" rides!!!!!! Have fun replanning!!! :goodvibes

Yes, it is a great problem. I love planning plus, as previously mentioned, I haven't rode any of the "big" rides in 4 years because I always tried to make sure she (now they) were having the best time, and didn't really worry about me, since I'd rode them all before a quadrillion times. But still, you miss the Mountains....

I hope you are feeling better!

Did you end up making any ADRs?

Alright, so now a HUGE dilemma with only about 30 days left to our trip! Last night, we measured our oldest dd5, who is small for her age. Anyhow, she is now 39.5" bare foot, so I know we can "shoe up" to 40", meaning some of the bigger rides are a possibility. ACK! I haven't rode nor planned to ride these ones the last three years, so my "master touring plan" which has been perfected and used very successfully over multiple trips is now out the window! Back to the drawing board - and worrying about FastPass this, standby that, etc. etc.

Alright, who am I kidding. After planning ad nauseum, I am looking forward to replanning from scratch. At least a little...

Congrats!!! You'll have so much fun! And new planning -- now you have to incorporate the Kiddie rides and some of the family/thrill rides -- hope you added more time in the parks!:lmao:

My DD is just under 48" so this opens up a few more things for us to do at WDW (and other amusement parks) if she is brave enough. My bets are she'll wait another year before trying some of the wilder ones since she's a bit timid.

I love the "wild mickey"!! Yes, I overpack too - at least you found out in plenty of time. Are you driving or flying? Now that they charge for bags that can be a real issue!!!

Were flying. If DH had gotten leave it wouldnt have been an issue because Conitinental doesnt charge Military service members traveling with their families for moving or just going on vacation. I looked online though and I can check one bag per person online for about 15 dollars a bag. So that will save me money on the way there. On the way back that's a whole other deal

Doesn't it feel GREAT to get your suitcases out in preperation? Then again I've been packing since January I think lol. I realized today I will need to go buy some Moleskin on the 1st. In addition to the things my friend will need to watch my furbabies while we are all out of the house.

ohhhhh please post pics of HP - i love it and wish we had more time so we could go see it - but then again i think i'll enjoy it more when we go back to going in Januarys when it's not hot or crowded

video too if you take any :) :) :) :) pretty please with mickey bars on top

i will try to post pics and video I have not ever posted pics I will have to get help from you all when I get back you will have to give me directions on how to add pics we cant wait.:yay:

Hi everyone!! Well, the boys and DH all got their haircuts today for the trip! Actually, the boys are in a show at their school tomorrow, so it is for that and also for the trip, plus DH needed one also! I go on July 1st for color and haircut...I was actually due for a haircut and color last week some time, so it is killing me, but I wanted to get it done closer to the trip and when I also had the time. You know, the small details... ;)

We finally got new ink for our printer so I will be printing out our touring plans, hotel confirmation numbers for the drive, ADR confirmation numbers, and directions from mapquest. We use the GPS but I am always paranoid that we will not have a signal and we will not be able to find where we are going to, so we use the printout as a backup.

And of course...DH still has yet to check the luggage! Maybe I can get him to do that tonight. Yeah right!! I will be pleasantly surprised if he does!

4 days of work left this week, plus next Monday and that's it!! Although I haven't taught for a week because of state testing going on. :)

17 days until we leave...22 days until we arrive at our Happy Place! :goodvibes

You can see some of the Epcot fireworks from the bridges around the Boardwalk area......the higher fireworks. The bridges are between the Boardwalk Inn and the Beach Club, and also between the Boardwalk Inn and the Swan/Dolphin. These areas might get crowded.

Wendy - 5 DAYS  Are you ready?

just like everyone else i am overthinking about my plans on what park to do what day. oh well when we get there we will just go with the flow.

Don't overthink it. It's a vacation. Enjoy!

one more week of school then a week to finish all the cleaning and laundry then pack and off to Quebec for a week.

i have a feeling it's going to fly by

We are having rreally hot weather in Quebec. Not as hot as Orlando, but still. Be prepared ;)

Hey everyone! I'm not sure if we've covered this or not, but what sort of bag do you carry in the park? I had planned on my Burberry backpack which I love, but I got an email from Vera Bradley today announcing a one day sale on the hipsters, so I picked one up thinking it might be lighter weight. Does anyone have this bag and use it for the parks?

Thanks  Nope, not yet. But I think I do have my park schedule down so I might try to see if I can squeeze something down now that the schedule is narrowed down. FX'ed!

Hope you're feeling well! I have NO idea what "laproscopic" surgery means!

It's 4 small incisions. One in the belly button, and 3 in the upper part of the stomache for the procedure I had done. The belly button is the killer one for me.

****Oooo haircuts. Maybe I'll get braids or something low maintenance. I keep my hair covered but I hate having hair fall into my face or on my neck. Food for thought! lol

We got the 5 days + 1 day free base tickets from Undercover Tourist and that leaves us 1 "break" day in our travels. Good weather vibes!

I have a waist pack that I had bought for our trip 2 years ago from a catalogue (I forgot the name of the catalogue, sorry). It's made of microfiber (I got beige, it was also available in black) and has a few compartments, room for credit card and room key card, room for my asthma inhaler, etc. We also still have to carry a diaper bag for DS3 since he is still in Pull-Ups. We don't use the traditional diaper bag anymore though...we have our "Disney '08" bag that we bought 2 years ago with Mickey and Goofy on it! It has a zipper compartment too. I will keep DS5's Epi-Pen in there (he's allergic to shellfish and I normally carry this in my big pocket book but that won't be with me). I also keep water bottles in there and sunblock. After this trip I don't know what we will do because we won't have a stroller anymore! We will think of something in the next 2 years before the next trip I'm sure! Probably being a small backpack or something!

we've lucked out - since our honeymoon we've been there every other year (this will be our 4th trip - seems we like it just as much as Disney :) )

we've had great weather every trip - no or little rain and not too too hot - generally in the 80's

at least if it's hot that week we'll be ready for Virginia Savannah and Disney the following weeks

thanks for the warning
