Just downloaded Mobile Magic too and having fun exploring it!!! I have a question. So now that I've downloaded it do my DD and DH have access or do they have to download it too - I just don't want them to get charged as well.

What do you guys think?

All along the plan for the 4th has been to do DHS in the morning, and hop to Epcot around 12/1. But I'm starting to get nervous. Do you think there's a chance Epcot could be closed to capacity at that time? I know it's one of the biggest parks but does anyone know if it usually closes on the 4th? I'm thinking I might have to screw DHS and just go straight to Epcot JUST IN CASE!
That EMH at Epcot on the 4th scared me. Looks like now we'll go to DHS, have dinner at HBD, and go to see Fantasmic and then the fireworks. It will be fine, right? That's what I keep telling myself. I just don't think I can take the stress of worrying baout whether EP reaches capacity, even though it rarely (if ever) does. I can stand crowds but not crazy crowds.

:scared1: You are going to head to the MK after the fireworks?! You guys are brave!

I am only there for 2 days so I'm definitely staying as long as I can! I will sleep on the plane. :rotfl:
I think that's awesome! Have a blast.:wizard:

Unfortunately, when they changed the schedule, it really ruined our late night EMH options. We had hoped to go on Friday....but they changed it to Saturday. Since we are now leaving the following Saturday, it cuts out the other Friday night. We might go Sunday - the day we arrive - we shall see!

I know - I am second guessing everything and worrying too!!!
I am second-guessing, too. Driving my DH nuts!

So I went to WalMart today--for Ant-Monkey Butt powder. :lmao: I know it has a crazy name but I've heard that it's good in the heat to prevent chafing, etc. We'll see if it works. It's worth it just for the name:rotfl:. While there I checked out the tees to see if they have any new Mickey ones. I got one for DD that's white and has Mickey in an Uncle Sam suit, and I got one for me that's blue and has a huge mickey head in red/white with stars & stripes. Both cute! Mine was $9, hers was $7. I was looking for carribiner clips for our water bottles, since I haven't found ours yet, but didn't find any. Anyone seen them? They have a rubber ring that goes around the neck of the bottle and it hangs from a caribiner from your belt loop or bag.

Thanks guys! I decided to stay home though. I felt sooooooo tired and it's so darn hot. So I'm keeping cool.

And my NYC trip is not happening after all. It's too complicated and my friends are dropping out, or it's so uncertain that I decided to forget about it.

From the website: http://www.antimonkeybutt.com/Anti Monkey Butt Powder is specially formulated to absorb excess sweat and reduce frictional skin irritation. It is Ideal for butt busting activities such as truck driving, motorcycling, bicycling, horse back riding, and extreme sports. May also be applied inside footwear, under sports pads, and other areas prone to chafing. Indoors or outdoors, work or play, or on occasions when you sit on your butt all day, don’t let your buns get red, use Anti Monkey Butt Powder instead!

It's supposed to absorb sweat so I'm thinking under the sports bra and on the thighs. Gross, I know, but that's life!

I found a small bit of pixiedust: just a minute ago! I looked at my tickets and counted up that we have the 4 day military PH passes and 2 extra days! That's 6 total! So I went and counted from the 14th to the 19th and that's 6 days but our flight leaves at like 11 am on the 19th to come back to NY so we can go to the Xtra Magic Hours on the 13th! Now the question is do I cancel the ADR's at WCC for dinner and book somewhere in the park or do I keep where we are and then go to the park's participating? I looked online and if I read this right, Epcot and the MK will both be open until Midnight on the 13th! Flight get's in at around 5:11pm. Please tell me what you think I should do? I just feel like :dance3::dance3::dance3: Right now! \

Congrats on the pixie dust!! I am always pumped up the first day - so I would probably head straight to MK!

PopArtGal~ Go see Toy Story 3! I cant see it until after the 1st of July (part of my count down to Disney Plan)

Tinkerbell~I have some outfits I have to pack as well after they get out of the wash. I also have to snag back the 2nd swimsuit I bought for my oldest DD that she's snagged for her beach day tomarrow. I will get my luggage to 50lbs if it kills me!

Is there going to be a DIS meet up sometime between the 13th and the 19th? If so I'd love to know the info!

Laundry is underway - and I am snagging as I fold!

we're going to see the Jersey Boys today. i'm hoping the place is cool.

Have fun!!

I downloaded Mobile Magic Too!! I was very suspicious of the fees also - so I called verizon and talked to someone who was very helpful. I don't have a data plan on my Env3 and figured I couldn't use it...but she looked it up in multiple places and even placed me on hold to confirm with a supervisor that I would only be charged the app fee and $1.99 for downloading the app...after that it ran off of the locating service on your phone. I have played with it a few times and then checked my bill online and so far it all holds true! I am so excited to be able to use it - DH has a blackberry and I thought we could use that but then found out it doesn't work on it. I never thought it would work on my Env3! The woman at verizon told me that the app was really meant for handheld phones not the data phones!
Two weeks from today we will be driving from Ft. Lauderdale to Wilderness Lodge!  The stress of Nationals will be over and the vacation will be beginning. DS has Nationals camp all this week...he is not looking forward to all the blood, sweat and a few tears, :rolleyes1 but it will be good for him...I am sure he will be ready to go next week.
I am in major planning mode...
I am printing all our travel documents and starting to think about what to pack. Tried to do priceline today for a car - shot me down for $9 a day (midsize)...oh well tried to lowball, figured it was worth the chance. :rotfl:
I bought a few shoes yesterday - Teva Mush flip flops and New Balance 442 (light sneakers) and Naturalizer Montecristo (sandals). Plan to wear them this week and break them in... we'll see. I got a 20% coupon for Kohl's :yay: and want to go today to see if I can find some shorts or skorts plus swim suits for everyone...trying to convice DH we should go...he isn't biting right now! :confused3 I know it's Father's Day! :)
Have a great day everyone!
Debbie

I know, it's amazing that I have a phone with no data - and Mobile Magic works! We saw the same thing. There is even a way to avoid the $1.99 download charge according to DH - I will have to see if that worked - I think you have to download directly from the Verizon app website, not the Disney site. Kohls is great - I had a 30% coupon last week and saved a bundle!

Just downloaded Mobile Magic too and having fun exploring it!!! I have a question. So now that I've downloaded it do my DD and DH have access or do they have to download it too - I just don't want them to get charged as well.

I think you have to download and pay for each phone. We are only getting it on my phone.

I guess we will chance it at Epcot - if it gets too nuts, we can hop over to DHS. Our lunch ressie is at 2:30pm and then we have our Dismeet in France at 4:00pm.

I bought the carbiners at Walmart a few years ago.

Thanks guys! I decided to stay home though. I felt sooooooo tired and it's so darn hot. So I'm keeping cool.

And my NYC trip is not happening after all. It's too complicated and my friends are dropping out, or it's so uncertain that I decided to forget about it.

Sorry your NYC trip is not working out. Enjoy your day at home!!

Thanks Tink. But we've been talking about it fore months and we still haven'T booked. I hate when things are so uncertain. I decided to forget about it.

We tried the larger Walmart brand a few summers ago. They were still a pain to carry around, and we did not think they worked as well as the Disney ones because the foam blades were just not strong enough. The ones we bought at Disney many years ago had stronger blades. Last year, the kids just each had a small hand held fan and it was ok - but not really helpful.

Do those smaller ones hold water??

I went to Walmart yesterday and bought (3) of the small ones. They hold about a cup of water (maybe less). I tried it out at the pool yesterday. (Today would have been a better day since it is easily 10 degrees hotter.) They seem like they will run out of water quickly. (However, I stop at everything bathroom in the parks so we can fill them often. (I drink too much water- sorry TMI)

They were only $4 each.

we bought a DCL one and a WDW one and didn't think either of them worked all that great.

the problem is that the water squirts out behind the fan and hits the blades and most of the water flies off instead of misting the face.

the design is bad - it should have been designed to squirt through the centre of the blades so the mist would be in front of the breeze not behind.

we're just buying a small (but not that small) squirt bottle from here and will do without the fan.

My girls take the large ones (O2 brand) to their soccer games and everyone on the team plays with them and enjoys them. They've worked well for us. Their size is simply prohibitive.

I have the red/blue fan there and will pack it. Never bought the fans at WDW, but I did have the small ones. Mine I got at the dollar store or Hobby Lobby a couple years ago and the nice thing is they clip on your bag or beltloop with the carribiner. The problem is that the fan blades tore easily and the fans aren't very powerful. I didn't buy any more little ones.

Soooo, 2 weeks from right now, I"ll be boarding my second flight in Chicago, on our way to Orlando!:woohoo:

We have the red and blue, and the pink and green (I tend to want to buy more when I think we need something. (When I make one of the necessary treks to Walmart for last minute trip items, I think I will return the pink and green.) Since we are driving, I will pack both small and large. (Maybe a medium is what I need.:lmao:)

Looks like my trip to NYC might happen after all. Which websites do you guys use? I'm looking at expedia, are there better ones?

Depends on what your looking for. I've shoped expedia, travelocity, orbitz and chepoair.com for plane tickets. For rental car's and hotels go with the first 3 or Hotels.com

Hey guys, especially girls, if you want a good and cute girl movie rent "When in Rome". I loved it! I will buy it hehe

busy weekend

saw Toy Story 3 yesterday then out for dinner.

saw the Jersey Boys today then out for dinner.

getting the feel for what's going to happen in a month LOL - lots of walking lots of eating and lots of shows HAHAHA

So we were suppose to leave on July 9th and stay with my fiance's uncle in Macon, GA but that fell through so we added an extra night onto our stay to get there a day early! So now we're just going to drive straight through and get in late at night which gives us more time to play! :) :)

So now we're staying at the ASSp from 7/9-7/18. :)

Wow, I am away from this thread for, what I believe is, not too long...and I had so much to read, wow!!!!!

We had a VERY busy weekend but lots of fun! My dad's birthday is this coming Wednesday (he's turning 60!), and we took him out to a nice lunch yesterday and then we headed out to NJ and took him to Raceway Park for the evening! He LOVES cars, car racing, motorcycles, everything relating to those things that you can imagine, and he was in all his glory! It was a surprise, he had no idea what we were doing until we got there!! The monster trucks were the best thing! My boys really loved it too, they were in awe!

Today of course was Father's Day (Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there!!). This morning, we went to my parents' house and cooked up a very nice breakfast for my husband and my dad. My sister made a delicious frittata with pancetta (Italian bacon, delicious!), cheese, potatoes, peppers and onions. My mom made blueberry pancakes. I made french toast stuffed with Nutella (made from challah bread I got at the bakery near where I work). We also had mimosas and bloody marys (not both together, we asked who wanted what! ;)), coffee, fruit, and lots of fun conversation, plus the usual entertainment from the little ones! We hung out and relaxed all day. And guess what? We watched the video from the last time my parents took me and my sister to Disney World, which was in August 1989!! OMG, my sister and I couldn't believe the way our hair looked! we were each at least 4 inches taller just because of that hair! Can anyone say Aqua Net Hairspray?! My sons and my nieces found it funny, that's for sure! Hey, but back then we thought we looked good...and the sad thing is, at that time, we did look good!! :lmao:

We leave in 2 weeks from Thursday!!! Yippee!!!! I keep bugging DH to check the luggage and make sure it is good, zippers work, etc. He hasn't done it yet, he's so calm about these things it kills me! :rotfl2:
