I was planning on driving to a HOST resort and taking transportation from there too. I wonder if that will be an issue? I guess it would be the same if we drove to WWoS, but POR would be closer and easier (we are at SSR).
Exactly what I'm thinking, too.

It also occurred to me that I'll feel much safer getting to my car in the middle of the night parked very near a bus stop than in the large DHS lot, so maybe this is a blessing in disguise. As an added bonus, POR and POFQ have some nice options for pre-race feeding, so I may drive over early, grab something to eat, and then take the bus to the race.
All depends on how tight security is with parking.
I, too, am staying at SSR and renting a car. My race companions are staying at BWV without a car. They added me to their reservation, so I can have a proper parking pass without any qualms of ethics.

I'm waiting to see where my race buddies book, too - I know they want to be at an EP resort, so I may do the same thing.

Question about race buses...
How do they work at the moderate resorts - do they go around and stop at every bus stop, or pick up at the main entrance like a ME would? We stayed at AKV-Kidani for the Everest Challenge and didn't realize the race bus wasn't coming to the bus stop, only the lobby entrance at Jambo.
In other news, I took my Newtons for another run this weekend, increasing to 2 miles of my planned 4-miler... AWESOME! Felt like I was on springs and pulled an 11:48 Magic Mile - unheard of for me in the heat of summer!

And no IT band knee pain until mile 3 - when I'd been in my other shoes for a mile. Is there really a connection, or was it just that 3 miles was all my knee could take of canted roads/sidewalks? IDK. Think I'll wear only my Newtons on today's short run (hopefully on un-canted paths) and see how that goes...
