**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

Went last night just for the fireworks, grabbed a table at Echo Lake around 8:15pm, all tables were available. I was concerned about the volume on the speakers that were a few feet from us, they were playing the regular Echo lake loop, but as the fireworks started they lowered the volume on the speakers and we could hear the Frozen fireworks music clearly.
I imagine if you sit close to one of the speakers it might be a bit distracting but we didn't have a problem.

To the powers that be at Disney, Please, please, please turn off the backround music during fireworks and pump in the firework music around Echo Lake!!

Thanks for reporting back. The backround music bothered me, but it didn't pick up at all on our video of the fireworks. I had a difficult time tuning it out. I'm glad the sound was lowered, but switched to the firework music would have made much more sense!

Have a great time tonight!! Can't wait to see how it goes. I'll be looking for pictures of yours and Missyrose's during commercials of Dr. Who.

Reminder for tonight:

The last Frozen Sing-along is tonight at 6pm.

Wandering Oaken's closes at 7pm.

Other attractions and character M&G close earlier today as well. Please check the Times Guide for details.

Reminder: This is the last week of Standby Tickets for the sing-along. September 2nd starts FP+

I have mixed feelings about this. The last couple weeks when we went to see the sing-along, we arrived at the end of the return window. Did this so that there was very little time spent outside. It's been very, very hot. So it's been nice to arrive just before.

Sept 2nd we have a FP+. I'm curious to see how it works. Will it work just like they did for SWW? Will FP+ and standby enter the theater at the same time like they did for SWW? Will there even be a standyby line? How many FP+ will there be per show?

I just finished my Five days at Disney World. I want to thank this thread. It made experiencing all the Frozen Offering more enjoyable.

Thanks for the kind words.

Do you have any tips to share? Is there anything you would do differently? Did you notice any new changes?

Excited for our trip over Labor Day Weekend and the Frozen Premium Package on 8/31! :cool1:

I saw a review that indicated that the Olaf carrot cake cupcakes were being served at the dessert party. I'm wondering if this is correct or if the person was mistaken, as I haven't seen any other mention of it. Has anyone been to the party recently and can you confirm whether or not the carrot cake Olaf cupcakes (like the Oaken's ones) are being served?

Thanks! :goodvibes

The carrot cupcakes are soooo good!! We didn't have them in July at the dessert. I haven't seen any recent pictures or reports of them being served at the dessert party. Hopefully someone will chime in who has been there recently.

This is what we had in July. The bottom "snowball" was cheese cake and the top snowball was carrot cake.

Taking my daughter this weekend for the FSF, looking forward to it but watching temps and kind of getting worried. I expect the heat in August but yikes!
If you have been recently please let me know if my plans are doable:
Park opens at 9 (for those without EMH) planning on going straight to get singalong tickets. Hoping for 2:30
Head over to Oaken's to play in the snow.
Parade
Back to Oaken's to shop
Lunch
Singalong if we get 2:30 tickets
Various Fp+ from 3:30-6:30

Or am I crazy? Our main thing is of course the singalong, DD wants to build a snowman and shop.

Can someone tell me if the Olaf drinks are only sold in Oaken's or throughout the park? Same for the cupcake treats?

TIS thread has been so amazing, very excited for our turn but yikes this heat has me concerned. I booked. FP+ for later in September just in case.

Sounds doable to me. Your return time for the sing-along will be 1:50 to 2:20. I suggest returning in the earliest part of the return window. Too early and you get placed in the first part of the return ticket line under the umbrellas (It will be sweltering under there, but you'll get good seats). Return right at 1:50 and you should be under the shaded muppet overflow line which has vents with air conditioning coming out. We actually noticed a difference. But your seating choice might not be as good.

I've seen the Olaf drinks inside the Funland and at a cart beside where you get the return tickets for the sing-along.

I just finished my Five days at Disney World. I want to thank this thread. It made experiencing all the Frozen Offering more enjoyable.

I was traveling alone, and not sure how many times I would be at DHS, during my 5 days, so I wanted to get it right. The thread explained a lot. I do not frequent WDW too often, and the layout of the park is confusing. However, I allowed myself enough time before the processional to get my singalong tickets. I was able to get a seat in the first show. The cast members at DHS were very helpful. Their info very reliable. I enjoyed the processional from the front of the park, and then was able to walk to one of the three viewing screens. I got some good photographs.

I did not see the Frozen Fireworks in DHS, until the last night of my trip, but watching by American Idol, I could actually see two of the screens.

The night that I watched Illuminations at Epcot, I discovered that you can see the Frozen Fireworks from the bridge in France.

I spent 5 nights at Pop Century, and tonite is the 2nd of my two nights at Bonnet Creek. My room on the 13th floor faces DHS. Last night I saw some of the Epcot Fireworks. I waited for Frozen ones, but they never happened. Tonite was a different story. The fireworks were amazing.

I also want to sày thanks for this thread. We are here now and enjoying the Frozen activities. The best part of it for us, I owe to a lucky break. My daughter is deathly afraid of fireworks but that's what I wanted to see the most. We are at Boardwalk and had booked a studio villa as it was $12/night less than a standard room. We were upgraded to a one-bedroom villa on the 5th floor with the most amazing view of Tower of Terror. I have been watching the fireworks from our balcony with a wonderful view! I've cued up the videos on Youtube so we have the music. DD watches from in the room where the noise does not bother her. Win-Win and I got some beautiful photos to boot.

Because it was Villains Unleashed at DHS that night, so they occurred much later (and were different).

Thanks also to lovethattink and the other contributors to this thread--had a great time yesterday!

Thanks for sharing, sounds like a great time!

Very cool that you can see them from your room.

A friend of mine made a video of the fireworks while standing at China looking across the lake. Great view there too!

Glad to hear you had a great time! Enjoy the dark side next weekend! We are heading there today for a little bit.

I missed the boat on that one. However, that's fine. I saw a lot of nighttime entertainment on this trip.

If we are planning to see the 10:30 Disney Jr. Show will we have time to see the parade? I think we will get out at 10:50. Will we be able to walk around the far side of the hat to view or will that be roped off? Anyone who can chime in with advice as to which direction to head so we can at least see the parade, I would greatly appreciate it :)

You can head towards idol and they'll direct you.

I'm looking forward to this coming long weekend. It will be a combination of Frozen and Halloween for me.

-Hope to get in one last Frozen sing-along using the tickets before it switches to FP+.

-MNSSHP on Monday
