**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

There were some noticeable changes today for the Sing-along. Remember the sea of umbrellas at the San Francisco scene to pick up the tickets? They've been moved, but I'll get to that. You still pick up your tickets near that scene, but now they can be picked up from only 1 direction. The lines were long every time we passed. We waited about 10 minutes to get our tickets today.

Coming from Streets of America.

The line forms at the umbrella and works it's way back towards the San Francisco.

The beginning of the queue is marked with this new sign.

While we were in line, the cm announced that there were no tickets left for the 12:30 show. This was around 12:15, so that wasn't a surprise. We picked 2:30pm as our showtime. The cm underlined that we needed to return before 2:20 to get seated.

Once we had tickets and were walking away, I noticed there was a new queue. The sign said Standby. It's beside the Premium Package queue. So I stopped and asked the cm if this is where we will return? He said no. We go to the ticket return line on the other side of the theater.

So what is the Standby Line?

This is a line for people who didn't get a ticket but are waiting on any "no-show" seats.

As I was standing there, several people returned with tickets for the 12:30 show. It was almost 12:25. They were told they could wait in this line to see if there were any seats left, or they could go stand in the ticket pick up line and exchange their tickets for another time.

When we returned at 1:50, we were directed to a queue between the Cars M&G and the Premiere Theater. HERE is where all the green umbrellas got moved to.

Once this queue was totally filled. Then they opened the queue area that is the unused queue for Muppets.

So that makes 5 queue areas for the singalong.

1. The ticket pick up queue
2. The Premium Package queue
3. The Return Ticket queue
4. The unused muppet queue area for overflow
5. The Standby queue.

We are planning on doing Disney Jr Live on Stage at 10:30. It's 24 minutes long. Any way we can make it to see the processional after? Maybe somewhere around AI Experience? We are good with missing the stage show.

Your son is so cute and he looks very happy! Did he buy the hat?

He didn't. He didn't like the way it felt on his head for more than a few seconds. And he's a child who's always wearing some kind of hat. But we saw another kid wearing it and getting lots of compliments.

Here's how we got to see it today arriving to the park right at 11am.

We got to Hollywood blvd just as the skaters were going past. A cm advised us to go through the backstage area that was opened putting people on Sunset blvd. The skaters were already at Sunset. So we took the path towards Brown Derby. The skaters were at the hat at this point. So a cm directed us up a ramp to the waiting area at idol and another cm sent us down a ramp. The skaters were right ar idol. So we went in front of the busts. And then in diwn a narrow path at soundstage that put us directly across from the backlot restaurant. Whew. The parade arrived 3 minutes later. Anna and Elsa talked to ds and my memory flashed an error that it was filled. But it was awesome!!

All i have is my hotel and FP+. We have not made any other dining.

Guess I am going to be calling to get the confirmation number. DH didn't feel like writing it done when he booked it.

Did dining find it?

Just went and really was no problem seeing the first Fantasmic and then going to the Frozen Fireworks. Although it'll be packed back to the white lines when you get there, there are still several pretty good viewing spots around, we tried a few before we finally settled on one which turned out to be the best spot to watch the fireworks. Could still kind of see the stage (more with the video screen)

Glad to hear you had no problems doing both.

Were you adults or adults with children?

Seriously?!

The sign will be helpful--I hope--we thought it was kind of difficult to see what was going on around there.

Wow!

We are going to DHS on 9/28, and will be there for Extra Magic Hours at 8am. Do they do a Welcome show for EMH guests, or just the one at 9am? I saw a post where there was an EMH show on 7/5, but thought that may have just been due to the holiday.

not 100% sure but the change in lines for the show might be because yesterday they started installing the systems and lights for the Osborne Family Festival of Dancing Lights.

Wow!

ETA: oops typo. We had to return by 2:20 at the latest for the 2:30 show.

Yes, seriously. Did you see the comment about the people who had tickets that were turned away from the show?

The signs are large can't be missed.

On July 5th, they did it twice. I had assumed they always do two on morning emh days? Hopefully someone can come in from experience.

Could very well be. It is that time of year again.

There was on big benefit to guests not seeing the show. They were stopped less times to let the line pass by since less people hat to cross the street.

I thought it was much hotter under the umbrellas than in the muppet queue. At least there they had those ceiling air conditioners going. Under the umbrellas there was no air. It was just humid and hot.

No problem, Tink!

Does anyone know if the skating rink will be open during the Villan's Unleashed event? & if so the hours? Traveling with another skater... if it's open we will SO be there. :confused3

I remembered to ask this yesterday, but forgot to ask about skating age requirements.

The answer was that IF the building is open, it would not be for FSF. All that would be shut down. Instead it would be for M&G opportunities IF any parts were opened.

Is Oaken's typically crowded right at park opening? I'm trying to decide what to do in that first hour or so in the park, before we go stake out a spot for the processional.

I was there yesterday and there was no line at park opening. They even were giving away free samples of what looked like rice crispy treats trying to lure people away from TSM. There was a very small line later at around 6pm...we waited maybe five minutes to get in.

It's typically empty at opening and during/right after the Welcome Processional.

We ran into quite a line around 1pm.

Another night we ran into quite a line around 7pm. I guess people trying to get in the last skating session?

Krispy Treats would lure me, lol.

Thank you! Doing Oaken's at opening sounds like a good bet. I know DD will want to skate, so we could do the first skating session at 9:30 then go get a spot for the Processional when we're done. Would be nice to have an uncrowded rink to skate on, too.

Same!

Sounds like a good plan. Hope you have a great time!
