**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

Is it as bad as leaving after Wishes or Illuminations? I am worried about getting out of DHS with a double stroller with throngs of people to get on a bus. I do know that we can wait for crowds to dissipate but I am already pushing time limits with 2 little ones and DH who likes to "get outta dodge" a.s.a.p.! We will probably be up in the reserved section so pretty far away from the entrance! Thanks for any experience!

We have gone to the fireworks 4 different times. The first time we tried to exit right away with the crowd from the package viewing area. It was very difficult to push the wheelchair through. At one point we were in a bottleneck (near H&V) and couldn't move.

So each time after we sat down and waited for crowds to subside. We have our own car, so there's no worry about waiting for a bus.

If there are 2 Fantasmics, then not everyone is heading to the exit. The rest is heading to the show.

where is the best areas for viewing the fireworks?

Anywhere that you can see BOTH the stage and the sky. The show goes between both. The stage is also shown on the big screens on Hollywood BLVD and the Idol screen.

Thought I'd share a few photos from the dessert party. The pictures aren't great because I was using my cell phone in the dark for most of them.

The dessert party area from the side. (My back was to the American Idol screen as I took this picture.) You can see the stage on the left of the picture.

Love this sand sculpture!

Quick question kind of off topic
We bought the premium package, so here's my question:
We have a yachtsman reservation at 5:30 and kids in the club, would be make it back by 8:00 for the dessert party with finishing dinner and picking up the kids? I stressing myself out. I wanted to try to book another day but of course it was sold out. Please put my mind at ease.

Don't eat too much for dinner. The desserts and beverages are plentiful for the package. We ate a very late lunch, 3:30, and went to the dessert hungry. Timewise, you should be fine and not rushed.

WHEW! Looks like, since our planned DHS day is a Thursday, we won't have to suffer through the Frozen-palooza. And even better, perhaps that will mean weekdays will be less crowded as others shift their planned attendance days to the weekend...and even BETTER perhaps the few Frozen offerings that will be there daily will siphon crowds away from the things I do enjoy.

Nice!

:thumbsup2 Not being a sourpuss but I have no interest in Frozen or anything to do with it. I thought we made a clean getaway by going in September but no such luck. Now I'm trying to figure out how to switch our planned weekend DHS day over to our planned AK day on Tuesday without losing any FP+. Ugh.

Edited: Managed to switch out days and keep my FP+ with approximately the same times, plus get a new ADR for Tusker House on Sunday. YAY! No Frozen for me, we get enough snow and all that up here for me to actually want to subject myself to it on a voluntary basis. Sorry, guys, I hope those of you who like Frozen enjoy the extended festivities.

Does anyone know if the extended dates are sold out for the premium pkg? Been on hold 34 so far.

Booked the package for 9/12 but a little disappointed to realize we will miss Fantasmic. I only see an 8:30 time for it, would it be silly to do Fantasmic and show up late for dessert party. Ugh that's the reason I booked for the desserts :)
Unfortunately we only have one day for HS- ugh what to do

I hope everything works out for you. On the bright side, Sept is usually a low crowd level month.

I haven't heard anything yet, but I'm sure reports will come in as they are.

The dessert party was great. That's the only part of the package you can't do without the package.

Are there any fireworks cruises for the Frozen fireworks? From all the pictures and You Tube videos we have watched the fireworks look better outside of the park than inside on Hollywood Blvd. Are there any places we could watch the fireworks in a great spot with sound outside the gates? I will have to change ADR's and FP+ to change our HS day to Friday so watching from one of the spots on Robo's map would be much easier. We do not care about the snow or stage show but are HUGE fireworks fans. Would we be happier watching from inside the gate? I just don't want to be deceived by the photos/videos and make the wrong choice because we only have one night to see them!

I have never viewed them from outside the park. Hopefully someone who has will chime in and give some advice.

Does anyone know if they close restaurants due to the fireworks? We will be eating at the Sci-Fi dine in at 7:20 and just wanted to make sure we won't get stuck.

I tried to book premier package tickets today and was informed that they were sold out. Since I wasn't even asked which day I was trying to buy them for, I can only assume they are sold out for all of Sept. :(

The only thing that will affect you is your exit. You'll have to walk towards Star Tours after 8pm. You won't be allowed to walk past the ABC Comissary towards the hat. That will be blocked.

Thanks for heads up. Not surprising. Two months daily booked up in 2 weeks time.

Unless cm didn't get the memo they extended it.
