**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

No, when you arrived you stood in line until a cm came up to you and checked you off their list and gave you a wristband.

The information on the Disney blog says to make sure you keep your wristband on. They will not be replaced if lost or stolen.

Are they those waterproof paper wristbands? My daughter had a major meltdown...almost as if she was having a PTSD flashback last year (related to hospital bracelets, I'm sure) when she was asked to put one on at an amusement park. Thankfully, that time it wasn't mandatory. She has come a long way since then but we'd better do a trial run if we decide to go with the package.

I'm still on the fence. Hoping things don't sell out before we decide. If it had come out before we did the rest of our planning, I'm pretty sure we'd book, but I worked so hard on all the rest of our plans, I'm loathe to change them around to accommodate this...lol! And then there is the money factor, too.

August 30th and 31st are reportedly sold out as well. I was going to wait for some reviews before purchasing our package, but then when those dates sold out, I went ahead and bought the package for August 28th. Because it's so easy to cancel, I'd rather have the package in hand then decide later I want it and not be able to get it.
Wow. I'm so glad I purchased my tix for the 31st! I wasn't sure about going at first since it's just DH & I, but we love frozen!

Yes, they are exactly that kind of wristband.

I'd hope some kind of accommodation could be made.

Have any other dates sold out besides this weekend? I'm going August 21. My DD has no idea that there is a package for this. It's going to be a total surprise. I think she'll cry when she realizes what's going on.

We arrive on the 21st, and I just booked the package today (1 adult 1 child) for the 22nd. If you can't make it you have a 1 day cancellation for a refund.

In case I get sidetracked tomorrow, there are some questions I have.

1. Does the entire parade end at the stage or will some of the parade continue on?

2. When the welcome is over, does the carriage go back empty or with A&E back inside it?

3. How is the queue set up for Wandering Oaken's? Darth's Mall had 2 rooms, but the first room was an air conditioned queue. The blog talks about 2 rooms. Does that mean the whole queue is outdoors?

4. How far in advance do people have to line up for the sing-along.

5. Are the photo-ops ones for the Auasma app?

6. Will kids be invited into the parade like they were for SWW?

7. What other characters will we recognize in the parade from the Frozen movie?

8. What are the Frozen drinks and treats at the trading post?

9. What are the snacks for the parade and desserts/drinks for the dessert?

What are your questions?

Thought of another one:idea: How are they giving out the times for the sing along? Will it be first come first served or pre-assigned? It seems like some have been getting conflicting information on this when booking.

One of the most important things about Disney and summer is staying cool. What are your tips for keeping cool in the summer heat?

One thing we always do is when walking from one place to another, if there is a way to do some of it indoors then we do. So if walking from ToT to TSM we would cut through the shops on either side of the road (forgotten what that street is called). When we are at MK we always walk through the big shop when you first enter the park. There are lots of places like this around the parks. Just cooling off for a few moments makes all the difference to us.
I think the hottest park is AK. Never seem to be able to cool down there.

We don't bother carrying those spray bottles but always walk through the areas that have water spraying at you.

I am so excited to start hearing reports about these Frozen events after people experience them TOMORROW!

I too want to know what time people will be lining up at Minn & Bill's?? CM told me 10:00 am for check-in, but I'm wondering if there will be a huge line by then...anxious!!!

I'm wondering the same thing. I'm hoping to be able to get a ride on RnRC in between rope drop and check-in for the event, since I'm only doing the one day at HS this trip...

The CM I spoke to, told me that upon check-in we would be given a lanyard. Hmmmm....

I think it is ridiculous that Disney is not offering fast passes for this and they are charging for this on top of the price of admission. In addition, it is ridiculous that they are not giving a meet and greet for the people who are paying for this event. Is this the sign of thing to come charging, for things in their park on top of the 100. to get into the park. Ridiculous:(

Just curious if you feel the same way about the Wishes dessert party which gives you the dessert party itself and viewing for Wishes. The Frozen package offers more than that, but for a bit more. A guest can see the fireworks without paying for the dessert party as one can do the same with the Frozen package. I see nothing wrong with a person who wants to spend a little bit more for an added experience.

I would like to know when people are lining up for check-in at Min & Bill's. If it starts at 10 will they be lining up way early or is it not important to get there much before 10? Also, what(if any) new merchandise will they have in the trading post?
Have an amazing time!:cool1: Thanks so much for all the info:worship:

Could be? Maybe it's changed since ftf? My cm said we'd receive credentials. The blog said wristbands.

Due to a canceled flight, we will be going to HS tomorrow for the Frozen opening. Any tips for me, specifically where to watch the parade from and when to go to the singalong? I am a pretty seasoned Disney person and know my way around, but I've never seen a parade or fireworks in HS, other than Fantasmic. Also going to try to get a couple Elsa/Anna soft dolls as we saw them the first day of our trip and then Disney pulled everything off the shelves from everywhere to save the merchandise for tomorrow. At best, I will have a 8 and 9 year old with me, possibly my toddler, too.

If you want to watch the introductions, you'll need to find a spot near the stage. Or, find a shady spot along Hollywood Blvd. and then follow the parade to the Hat. Everything will be projected on the large screens. If spots are taken along the Blvd., the procession begins near Sid Cahuenga's at the front of the park and you can watch from that area.

For the SingAlong, you may have to check the line about an hour before showtime to see what it looks like. The queue is covered so you will be shaded.

If you want to watch the fireworks pre-show and the light projections on the Hat, you'll need to be somewhere with a view of the Hat. Hollywood Blvd. or the area in front of Min and Bill's is good. If you want an uncrowded spot without a good view of the stage or large screen, the Prime Time area has great, unobstructed views.

Has anyone been to DHS this week? Are the construction walls still up along the parade route? We were there last Monday and the area where I read the new Starbucks was going in, was under construction, right up including the curb? That will cut off some of the parade viewing if it still is that way.

I'll find out tomorrow. I plan to arrive fairly last minute for the parade viewing. I'm hoping for either a 12:30 sing-along or the 7pm one. I know my son is going to need to rest back at the resort in the afternoon.

I'm so sorry to hear your flight was cancelled. But tomorrow will be an exciting day to be there. (Not like the other ones won't be exciting.) But tomorrow holds that unknown factor.

The parade route is short. Basically from the tower thing with the revolving Mickey straight shot up to the hat.

Shade will be on the left side of the street as you're walking towards the hat. Though many areas will lose shade as the sun moves.

You may not sit in front of any trash cans along the route. But you may stand behind them. They also don't want guests standing on benches or walls.

As soon as the parade passes, people will start following it up to the stage for the welcome.

The sing-along seats about 1000 people. For SWW, an hour early was a safe bet. And it's not like SWW where there is only 1 of each show during the day. It's the same show over again. Though people have been willing to wait hours for Anna and Elsa when they were at Ecpot and now at MK. So I have no idea what to expect with the sing-along.

I'm hoping to be there for the Villains Unleashed event, and can only take a bit of a long weekend to do it. Does anyone have tips for seeing the morning parade and the evening fireworks show? I'll only get one shot at the latter.

I'm confused because I don't usually spend much time in HS and understand that the parade leads up to the stage. Is there somewhere I can see both places? Or is viewing one more preferable to the others (like, is the stage show or the parade itself more impressive)? I am REALLY nearsighted and have tinnitus, so if I'm a certain distance away I won't be able to see the stage at all, probably. I just can't remember the layout all that well.

For the fireworks, again is viewing the stage show more unique and fun? I'm only so-so on fireworks unless they're something particularly amazing. I used to live somewhere with fireworks weekly over the summer. Or is there a good place to view both the show and fireworks, given that I'm really nearsighted?

I can pay for the special package, but I'm concerned because people make it sound like I might be pushed around a bit and made to stand further back since I'm an adult, but I'm really pretty short. I also saw Kenny the Pirate's review that implied that the reserved location is less than ideal for seeing the actual parade. And for the fireworks people are saying that you can't really see the fireworks at all, but you can see the stage.

Advice before I spend this money?
