**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

The Lights continue when raining. I wonder where the Dessert Party gets relocated? Is there a location near the Streets?

Thanks for answering. We ended up changing plans for tonight. Went to see Big Hero 6 instead. Loved it!

I had assumed they'd still move it Play House Disney if it rains? I don't know. Maybe we will find out tonight. Not sure when the rain is suppose to start, but the cold part of the cold front has started.

This is interesting...I guess I didn't catch that the dessert offerings changed as the summer progressed. We went in August, so I'm thinking we got the same desserts as you did at your second party. They were all minis and none seemed to be that fresh to me.

As for the lithograph...they described it as a "holiday" lithograph so I didn't think it was going to be a Frozen-themed lithograph.

Is the pin offered elsewhere in the park, or is it an exclusive? We're not pin collectors, but from my understanding, exclusive pins are pretty valuable in the trading community, so that might help with the value aspect of the package.

I don't know about the pin. The packaging looks like it says Limited Edition.

Full size cupcakes at the 1st party. I think there was so much waste. Everyone wanted to sample each. We shared the cupcakes between the 3 of us.

Can you leave the party to see the lights and go back in? (Say if you've got some older family members that just want to sit and others with enough energy from the sugar to run back around. :thumbsup2)

Yes. Just show your credentials to get in and out.

So I see two pin/lithograph sets are already on eBay - they are asking 350 and 400 or best offer. I think that's a little crazy but, if they sell, you are definitely going to see me at the party!

I noticed that earlier. I can't imagine they'll sell for those prices. And as time go on, they'll be less rare since more people will have them from the parties.

Just to give a counterpoint...we did the Frozen Summer Fun premium package this summer. We actually took a trip to Disney JUST to experience FSF. For our much lower price point, we got reserved seating and snacks during a parade, what looks to be the exact same dessert party, but also reserved seating for a fireworks show (which didn't have to be fully experienced by walking around), as well as premium seating for the sing-a-long.

My take on the desserts this summer is different from tink's. While the desserts looked lovely, the taste of them just wasn't that great. I think each of us (including the kids) had two mini desserts and that was it. My husband and I tried to drink our money's worth of the adult beverages :scratchin but all we wound up with were a slight buzz and hangovers from the cheap rum the next day. We didn't think what we paid for this summer's event was really worth it in the end, which is why we're declining to participate in this winter event even though we have a December trip planned. The much higher price point, coupled with the decrease in offerings just doesn't make it worth it to us. It's hard to justify a dessert party at a $50 price point above the Wishes dessert party, which to me is the gold standard of dessert parties at Disney World.

I just wanted to offer a counterpoint from someone who did do the FSF package and has the opportunity to do this one and has decided against it. Everyone needs to make their own choice, but I think hearing opposing viewpoints is important for those who are on the fence. For a party of 4, $356 is a lot to spend for a few desserts, a pin, and a lithograph.

I will say that I'm happy that this package area is a bit removed from the Lights so that those of us not doing the package can still experience the Lights fully. I do think this package is a good compromise along those lines--giving the "enhanced" experience to those who want to pay for it while not decreasing the experience of guests who don't want to pay the upcharge for a few desserts.

I agree with you 100% about showing differing opinions and perspectives.

There is no question about it. The summer package was more bang for the buck. In fact, we practically ate our money's worth in desserts, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

We were the first party. All the food was fresh. Our cupcakes were full size, not bite size. Made a huge difference in the cupcakes. The ones we had a month later at our 2nd party tasted previously frozen, were bite size, and definitely not as fresh. But mostly everything else was the same.

I cannot for the life of me rationalize $89/person for our family for this Christmas event. IMHO, there is more "FROZEN" value at MVMCP where you get to see the characters in the parade and castle show, and stand in line for A&E even without a reserved section for anything.

I expected a Frozen character lithograph. I would have been disappointed with an Osborne lights picture without the characters. The pin looks nice though.

I was expecting a Frozen lithograph, too, but oh well. I'm still doing it because I only had to pay for me. My son won't be 3 yet, so he's pretty much tagging along for little cost when the trip is pretty much for him anyway. We probably won't get back to WDW for a few years so I'm making the most out of it.

I'm sure you will have a great time.

Thanks! I know we will! DHS is our first park day of our trip and he's all about Frozen right now. He asked to watch it twice already today. I love it too. It's my favorite Disney movie of all time. I have a feeling that I'll be Frozen'ed out by the end of our trip though!

Are the tables reserved for your party like at the MK dessert party or are they wherever you want to sit? Thanks

I wouldn't think the prices of the pins/lithographs will hold up on ebay. Maybe you could get your money back, and there may be a few people willing to pay outrageous prices. But, think of all those people who were selling the Anna and Elsa dresses at ridiculous prices that are now stuck with them.

Going today to DHS again. I'll check the layout of the Frozen package and see if anything changed from the first night

We haven't been Frozen'ed out yet and have been going to DHS since July for it. Looking forward to seeing the MK holiday Frozen additions too.

I wouldn't think so either.

At 6:05 they began allowing guests with credentials into the area.

The lights began at 6:05 tonight and dessert guests were let into the area at 6:55.

I was really excited about purchasing this package. The website (and the phone CMs) state that you can enter at 6pm.

Noted under Check-in --- https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/hollywood-studios/frozen-holiday-premium-package/

I was excited about seeing the lights come on from a reserved area. :confused3

posted :)
You can enter the area and get in line to check in at 6:00, but Yulilin3 was keeping track of entry time and they were allowed into the designated fenced in area at 6:55pm. The Osborne lights began at 6:05 tonight.

Please verify. 6:05pm or 6:55pm. Anyone who actually attended? Thanks!

I didn't attend the package but I was there the entire night and kept checking back
People started lining up on Friday at around 5:50pm. The lights turned on at 6:05pm. The package people weren't let into the package area until 7pm
I'm going tonight and will check again and report if they changed the time they let people in

I'm sorry, I thought I later clarified. Yulinin was there taking pictures and reporting.

6:05 the lights started for the general public.

6:55 Was when the area opened to start letting in guests.

Thanks. We are going to Epcot tonight. Never made it to DHS last night.

Not DHS related, but still Frozen related:

MVMCP for November 10th is sold out. I'm surprised because we went that day a year ago and the party of empty. I think all the new "stuff" added is attracting more people. I'd suggest buying tickets soon if you are thinking of going to a party. Many sold out last year in advance.

Tuesday is Veteran's Day, so lots of people have the next day off.

Just to be sure: you get Frozen desserts, children's drinks, alcoholic drinks, preferred seating for the Osbourne lights, a pin and a lithograph, but no characters. Is this correct?

Yes, plus a fastpass to the singalong during that day.

Can anyone who attended confirm if the pin and litho are one per person or one per group? Was it given when you check-in for the dessert party or when the event was over?

Also, when and where do you go for the Frozen sing-a-long? Do you check-in somewhere earlier in the day similar to the summer event or just show up at the time you want to see the show?

Finally, for those who have been or will be going, can you please report back if there is any benefit in lining up for the dessert party well ahead of the start time. It seems like people lined up an hour before check-in and 2 hours before it started for the first night. I believe seating is on a first-come basis but not sure if standing around for 2 hours is worth it/needed. Thanks!

I'm almost positive that it's one pin and lithograph for each person who has paid entry for the event. If a family of 4 paid 4x it wouldn't make sense that they'd just get one pin and one lithograph for the whole group. That wouldn't be fair given the expense.
