**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

Has there been a merchandise update yet?

The only new merchandise (so far anyway; I'm not sure that more is coming though, to be honest) is what was announced a few weeks ago:

There is something worse........paying $300 to eat those desserts

I was tempted to purchase the package, afraid that I would miss out a lot. Actually all I care about is the sing-along. After reading the SWW reviews, I figure I still have to line up early for good viewing spots. The desserts are mainly themed cup cakes and ice cream (if similar to Feel the Force package). Worse, I have to rebook my FPPs since I have to re-plan my days in order to have one full day at DHS (I have park hopper). Unless later reviews show changes to the viewing arrangements and better dessert options, I would rather spend the money on something better and go with the flow. Either way I will have a wonderful time. It's just DD17 and myself. My decision would be quite different if I had little Frozen fans coming on the trip.

Hope to read some package reviews after July 5. Have fun planning!

Does anyone know what "Icemen of the North - Live in Concert" might be? This is listed on the daily schedule of events when I look at it in MDE. I only checked for my week at the beginning of August, but I am guessing it is there all summer.

It is listed as "atmosphere" and has showtimes every hour starting at 6pm.

I am not seeing that on MDE via the website, but am assuming it is the dance party. :)

I've read conflicting things - the CM I spoke to said we "choose" which show we want to see and based on first come first serve. Others are saying that they are being told that you will be "given" your time for the sing-along. Which do you think is correct? With a 3 year old we have to return to the resort for a midday break or she'll never make it to the fireworks!!! We were hoping to get the first or last show for that reason. Now I'm concerned that we will be told we have to go to a certain one!!! I'm confused!

I wouldn't be concerned. They will let you pick the sing along time. If this changes - which I doubt it will, let them know, and they will accommodate you.

We are in the same boat on this. The earlier the better for us. We are planning on leaving the park by 2 and coming back after dinner. I was told we will get to choose. I'm going to check in right at 10:00 do hopefully that will help.

I find it when I go to the park hours and then click on DHS to see the schedule. It might be part of the party. The party is listed separately though with times of 5:45-9:30.

I guess we will have to wait until Saturday to see.

If we have FP+ for Disney Jr Live show at 9:40 and then a Toy Story Mania FP+ for 10:15, do you think we're ok? I was thinking, hoping and wishing that we could go form Disney Jr Live, right to TS Mania, then head over for our check in which should all be done by 10:30 ish. Wishful thinking? :confused3:goodvibes

Kenny did the SWW FtF package on the first day and waited until 11am to check in. After that first weekend they improved on the way they load the area. They had a dedicated spot for kids in the front (they need to sit) with adults standing behind the kids. They also opened the area at 10:30am for the 11:30am parade for SW. The only thing I can recommend is checking in at 10am. Some days might be busier than others.

This is good to know!

I have two boys who like frozen but don't love it. I mainly plan to hit hs for the star wars stuff so this package isn't for us. glad to know I get to save a couple bucks somewhere! my question is will the frozen dance party replace characterpalooza or be in addition to? my boys would rather meet characters than dance to frozen songs. thanks!

Last year when there were evening dance parties, Palooza was canceled due to the same start time. With all that will be going on near Premiere Theater crowd-wise for the shows, there probably won't be Palooza during the Frozen event period.

I'm torn on this. We will be there in August. I have a little Frozen fan, but I think meeting them in MK will be plenty, along with seeing them in that parade. Seems like a lot of cash for what you get. The singalong show will probably be very cute, but then it's only 20 min. Fireworks are iffy with my crew, sometimes we make it, sometimes we lose steam. Is there something I'm missing? Help!

If you have a a Fp to meet them, the personal interaction will mean more to your Frozen fan.

With 7 shows, you can always walk by Premiere Theater to see what the line looks like. If you can enter the line and be under the covered portion of the queue, you'll get into the show, no problem.

Contempo Cafe at Contemporary sells the large Frozen cupcake... it is beautiful! A huge white mound of frosting covered with blue sugar crystals. I think that would be better than the mini-cupcakes. DD had a few mini-cupcakes during the SWWs and she reported they were sometimes frozen and sometimes stale. This had also been reported by guests at the Dining venues.

If you don't tell your little one what the package entails, she will never miss it! :)

You can always play it by ear if you get to DHS.

The package is a big investment. I know my son won't make it open to close. Which is why I ended up changing my resort reservation dates. This way we can go back to the room in between instead of having to drive home and back.

First look at Oaken's Trading Post, Frozen Funland, and Frozen Magic Bands on sale beginning next week:

Thanks for sharing the link and pictures! I can't wait to enter Wandering Oakens Trading Post! The theming looks great!

Wonder if the magic bands will be in the same price range as the Yoda and Vader ones?
