Because I worked in the MK I can answer this question, the "shorter" characters; mickey, minnie, chip, dale, donald, etc are played by females because of height requirements. Taller characters; the beast, goofy, tigger, etc are played by males.

I have had a hand "thing" for as long as I can remember and Orli's are just beautiful. Kimmar just happens to share my obsession and we can get kinda goofy about it sometimes.

As I said height requirements...she must have been over 6' feet.
