Alright! :Pinkbounc I got our 2-bedroom Boardwalk view room for Christmas Eve! I've got three more nights to book, but this one was the most important for me! (Not that I want to be switching rooms on Christmas Day, so tomorrow is important, too...) Now we have to decide where to eat on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! Any suggestions?

Nice, that sounds so great. I was wondering that also, we are VWL and I thought I heard Liberty Tavern had XMAS Eve dinner at MK? EPCOT area I am not sure but its a great problem to have.

I think we're leaning towards Artist's Point at WL for Christmas Eve and maybe Flying Fish, Blue Zoo or Yachtsman Steakhouse for Christmas Day. We were thinking about staying around the Epcot/MGM/Boardwalk areas on Christmas Day so we don't have to deal with crowds/transportation and can rely on our own two feet. I dunno... still deciding... but you're right, what a fabulous problem to figure out! :teeth:

P.S. Congratulations to everyone who got the reservation that they wanted!

Those all sound great, but we have never been away on actual XMAS EVE and Day and were hoping to find a more traditional XMAS Dinner (you know-ham orturkey etc). Please post if you know of any and happy planning.

Finished making our reservations on Monday for December 16-22 at SSR. I called each day to book since we are booking a 1 BR and a 2 BR. We went this last December for our first trip "home" and are now taking SIL and family this trip! Can't wait!! :cheer2:  :cheer2:  :cheer2:

I just started this morning on booking our stay Dec 24-Jan 6 at VWL :cheer2: :cheer2: This will be our first Christmas trip to WDW. I don't care for the crowds but I have to go at Christmas time just once!! I can't wait

Hey just want to let you know we will be there Dec 3 to the 17th :cool1:
But did not get on the phone at all, I went to our DVC member site for making ressies and punched in the days and other info studio, non-smoking etc. sent it off last Friday night, got my confirmation email Tuesday morning :thumbsup2
Now thats what I call service!!!

Oops forgot to tell you we will be at our home resort BCV and celebrating DH birthday :yay:

Not Christmas but Dec 10-15 with 12 of us! Booked 2, 2 bedrooms at VWL. I called day by day just to be on the safe side.

Hey jade1 and anyone else needing to know. Here is a link to last years Christmas meals; http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/men_christmas.htm. They all looked good to me. We decided on Whispering Canyon because we are staying at VWL & had several recommendations for it and 1900 Park Fare because it is close enough it should be easy to get to.

We are not planning to go to a park on Christmas day at all.

My problem is that I have a little one that Saznta will have to visit. What are you all doing about Santa & presents?

Wonderfull. I am printing this for future planning. Thanks so much. :thumbsup2

I'm all done making our reservations for a 2 bedroom at BCV for Dec 17th-22th. I did it day by day and last Monday called for the last two days. YIPEEEE Possibly at the 7th month mark we might try for one more night of the 16th with some banked points from the other home resort so as not to lose them! (Good excuse for staying another day, don't you think? ;)
Can't wait to see CP again and Osborne lights and all the other great decorations! I haven't been at that time of year for 3 or 4 years. Good Luck to everyone making their reservations! :cheer2: :woohoo: :cheer2:

I LOVE WDW at Christmas, and it is so exciting reading everyone's plans. Our very first trip to WDW was the week before CHristmas, and to me, nothing has more CHristmas feeling than Main Street in the Magic Kingdom first thing in the morning and at night with all the lights on the tree. Oh - and the Osborne lights are pretty special, also.

A few years ago we spent Christmas at OKW. We had a small tree with lights and presents underneath, stockings hung on the buffet, all of our cards from home on display, and even made CHristmas cookies while there. Christmas Eve we went to the Candlelight Processional which was sooooo beautiful. We did the package arrangement and had good seating. Then went to San Angelo Mexican restaurant - DH's birthday is Christmas Eve - and that was his choice.

Christmas morning - housekeeping left a stocking on the door at each villa. A fun touch. That day we went to the parks - Magic Kindgdom - and it was great! I assumed the crowds would be awful.

To My surprise ;) Although there were lots of people, the Christmas spirit really took over and I have never seen such a happy, mellow group of people. Perfect strangers smiling and saying "Merry Chritsmas." Many, like us, were not rushing to do rides but just walking around with families, taking it all in.

We had CHristmas dinner that evening in our villa at OKW - we had bought holiday foods pre-prepared for the most part - at Publix and had a wonderful time cooking it together.

Merry Christmas to All!!

Suzanne

We're all set for the before Christmas dates. Dec 10th through 21st (excluding 15th/16th- weekend at my sister's house.)

Next it's to get the New Year's Eve reservation and the first several days in January.

November 27-December 8 for us. Can't wait as usual. We are taking my brother and SIL to celebrate my 50th.

We're booked for 12-3 through 12-8 to celebrate my DS's 9th birthday! Not Christmas - but my MIL is a United Methodist pastor and this is as close to Christmas as she could get away..... Close enough for me!

Just booked my first night on 12/26 - the funny thing was the MS guy automatically asked "what will your final check out day be?" I guess they are catching on to our calling day-by-day for ressies.

I plan on doing the Magical Express - I have to wait until my flights are set up before that can be reserved right? I saw a place on the DVC site to register for it, so I am planning on doing it there. Has anyone used it?

We've used the DVC site to book ME each time that we've needed it, for ourseleves and our guests. It's worked fine.

I booked day by day for our December trip as well!
