Official Dancing With the Stars: Spring 2016

yep, however, (and who am I to critique Len, lol) if maybe he starts his comments with a positive instead of BAM~"You lost your frame (with a scowl) etc. Positive reinforcement Len, helps to encourage working on the negatives.

That was Julianne's judging style, positives first, then things that needed work. I thought she was really good as a judge. It's pretty negative this year with Len back.

Yes, the difference between criticism and a critique is that a critique talks about the good and the areas and ways one can improve. It's also in the WAY the info is delivered. When one starts with the positive, the recipient is buoyed up and then wants to hear how one can do better. :yay:

Criticism is just negative or scathing. Did Len even say anything positive? :confused3 Or did he only say something positive after he got booed? It's kind of hard to remember and I would think, hard for a star to hear or believe in, when one starts with such HARSH criticism. Talk about being a wet blanket, every time he'd start with his criticism, he just brought everyone's energy down. He was such a downer.

I was so happy for Nyle. He did an incredible job, especially for a deaf person. :woohoo: And of ALL the things Len could start with, it was about how Nyle's posture was all wrong. :sad2: :badpc:

Well, there are a lot of things wrong with Len. I am soooo done with him. I wasn't thrilled about him coming back. And if he decides to leave the show again, I will actually be happy. I won't miss him at all. And I don't care that he is the judge with the most real ballroom expertise. That doesn't give him a pass for just being a harsh, negative, pompous human being. I give him a 4 for being a judge. He has much to improve. :sad2:

Yes to all you said!! :thumbsup2

And I was glad Carrie Ann clarified her "musicality" remark from the week before. I still don't agree with her, but at least she apparently didn't mean what we all thought she meant!! :rotfl:

I do agree that Len can be pretty harsh but I also remember him saying positive things after his criticism. Len doesn't bother me. He keeps the judging from being boring.

She also has probably been getting a lot of negative feedback too from that also.
