Official Dancing With the Stars: Season 18

Okay now, after only ten minutes I am sick to death of Amy. Guess we needed to be reminded one more time about her legs, not that she is going to be judged any differently, yada, yada, yada. Not that we didn't see a lot of that package last night. Yeah, snarky, I know.

I won't even say anything about she who must not be named (nor should she even be competing tonight).. I would hate to rile up her fans, but bleah!

Now Meryl, I totally was not happy to hear she and Charlie would be competing due to their background. In a sense they were underdogs because many people share that feeling about so called "ringers." As someone else said she has an advantage of physical training and that is a big one. She knows how to work through the pain, work when she's tired, work until she has a perfect program.

What I like about her though is her even temperament. No drama, just consistent working with a graceful maturity. I like how she works with Maks and supports his insecurities, something he has never allowed himself to show. I am happy that he got a great partner. He seems to be having a happy season and I hope this will be the year for a win for him.

Got it, Kate Hudson.

Which reminded me that Derek and Kate Hudson are actually friends. There is a video floating around of them dancing together at a salsa bar. She's very good!

Had no idea it would be 3 hours of DWTS tonight. I like the show, but would've been good with a 2 hour finale.

I've been watching youtube videos of Maks & Meryl because I have no life.

And I decided.

I would happily watch a "Dancing w/ Maks & Meryl" Show every week.

Boy do I agree with the poster who said Amy has it bad for Derek, and that Maks is in to Meryl more than she to him. I think Meryl is used to Charlies super optimistic personality in the competitive world, and Maks is a bit more, well, she seems to be more mature in that dept. Don't get me wrong, I love Maks and I know he is passionate and has been dealt some unfair blows, but Meryl is more even -keel. I really, REALLY hope they win. (and that Meryl dates him)
Not to mention if Maks can't win with Meryl, then who?

I'm thinking they really had to have James' & Peta's freestyle for the encore.

And I'm thinking they probably lied that they won the twitter vote.

If they said Amy & Derek won the vote or Maks & Meryl won the vote, we pretty much then would have known who will win - at 9:00 pm instead of 11:00 pm.

They spend weeks and weeks together in close physical proximity. Add to that that some of these dances really bring in a huge emotional punch and I can see them totally falling for each other. Not sure how long it would last afterward, but I believe they feel it.

Yes. They feel passion but not love. They aren't planning their lives together. They are all professionals and they know exactly what they need to do. If not... Gross. Means they love each partner, passionately, for season after season and on and on.
