'Official Dancing With the Stars' Celebrity and Professional Pairs Revealed!

I hope I don't sound like I want her to fall on her butt. It is inevitible that they will always include someone who doesn't have the acumen to learn the skill of dance despite their best efforts. Some are able to compensate with "fun factor" and their "personality" and others simply cannot.

For some reason--I am remembering Kate commenting (at some point in her series) about her lack of coordination. That coupled with some of her very planned spots, her ability to emote on cue in a real way isn't very good. She did one commercial for VTech that was an actual commercial with Voice Over and professionally, her VO was horrible. Absolutely mechanical and robotic and highly unbelievable.

I think the latin dances and the highly technical dances will be extremely difficult. I some of the more fun dances--will be easier for her (such as swing) even if by chance they end up not being technically accurate.

So I think she is going to struggle. She may have the capacity to learn, but I don't feel she will last at all. She could surprise me though. I just do not see her as a viable long term contestant. If she sucks the first week--I hope she is out promptly. I prefer the show to be a judgement on their ability to acquire skills and do a satisfactory performance rather than a popularity contest.

She isn't the first nor the last celebrity that I would have this opinion about. Some though--I don't know it until the first episode.

No - I don't think that at all..:goodvibes

I agree with you about her ability to "cut it" though.. If she can't, I would hope that they would eliminate her immediately - so the others who "can" are able to compete - without this turning into another "train wreck reality show".. Meaning: keeping Kate on just to keep the viewers tuned in.. That would not be fair to the other contestants..

Time will tell..:goodvibes

Well that's good to know..:)

Although I'm obviously not a fan of hers (or Jon's), I'm surprised to see others post that they would like to see her "fall on her butt" - or get "booted off" within the first week.. Who knows? With some dance lessons, she might actually be good!

As long as she's not shoving the kids in front of the camera, I hope "something" works out for her - career wise.. Haven't been keeping track of either of them, but I'm assuming there's no child support coming in - correct? :confused3

The reason I want her to be one of the first ones off the show is simply because I think she needs to be home tending to her personal issues. Anyone going through a public divorce and if she truly is devastated about Jon leaving her and the kids, then there are a lot of emotions to deal with. I think a working mother should be able to participate in the show, but the mother of 8 going through what she has on her plate sounds too much.

Not only is she flying weekly btw. her home and LA but rehearsals are daily and time consuming in addition to publicity that is required to do on various shows for the 200k. TLC must not have offered her a show quick enough and this was an easy way to make more money, but as much as this family has been paid for the previous show, they should be set for a while. In addition I think she is not a good dancer or a person that can perform different emotions. She was unable to do that in a reality show.

Saw on AOL a little while ago that Johnny Weir almost made the cut but the producers wanted the Olympic champion. He hopes that he'll get to be on DWTS in another season. Wouldn't that be a hoot? Can you imagine the costumes that he would wear? I think that he would be really good.

This title sounded better to the producers that "Dancing with the Has-beens, Wanna-be's and Never-was".

That was just nasty.:sad2:

Shouldn't someone be staying home taking care of her 8 kids or however many she has, especially since dad is not so much in the "picture" anymore.

Hey, what they should have had this season was Octomom, Dugarmom, Gosslinmom & the 15 or 20 plusmom vs. Octodad (if they could find one of em) Dugardad, Gosslindad & 15/20 pluswhateverdad. The whole audience could be made up of their kids.

This? Brilliant. Except the Duggars are out: no dancing and they are actually raising their kids.

I'm glad that Kym (isn't that how she spells it) won't be on......I really don't like her........too bad Edyta is always on it. I'll miss Lacey- I really like her.

But I don't think I'll watch this season because of Pamela Anderson. My children will sometimes watch it with me and I'm sure we'll have all kinds of things I really don't want my 7-year-old DS to see/hear because they will play up what a ho she is..........plus, I don't care to see that kind of stuff either.......

I really liked Kelly Osborn and Donny last season, but nobody I'm just dying to see this year......

I just wish that it was starting this next week. All the teasers they are showing on tv are making me anxious for the show to start.

Buzz Aldrin looks a lot like Hugh Hefner. It really threw me for a moment as I thought they have the Heff on with Pamela Anderson?

It's great to see Cheryl again. She was bumped off way too soon last season. She's one of my favorite professionals. :goodvibes

Chad's got good footwork. He set the bar high. :thumbsup2

My Cincinnati Bengal Chad! I thought he was pretty good.
