Ok, I cannot even watch for 2 more hours but I love peeking over here.

KATE IS SAFE ... are you kidding me. Shannon's performance was better than Kate's last night ... Kate was awful.

As far as Buzz and Kate go, they have FANS that love them and will keep them.

I think that's why they said it would an "upset." Shannon's performance was middle of the road. She slipped by the radar. Everyone was talking about Aiden possibly getting the ax. (But, he has die hard All My Children fans.)

Shannon really doesn't have fans the way Buzz, Pamela & Kate do, so she's out.

Ummm hmmm! That's exactly what's happening. It should've been either Buzz or Kate and NEITHER of them were in the bottom 2? I'm surprised Shannon was the 1st to go, I think she would've improved had she stayed. She was much better than either Kate or Buzz. I wonder what would happen to the show if they removed the fan voting? Or maybe made it an audience voting added to the judges scores.

I thought she was angry at how she was "portrayed" yesterday. After all, nothing is her fault. Tony couldn't teach her right. The show is making her out to be a whiny, unlikable person by showing that rehearsal clip. Yada.

I'm no fan of Shannen but Kate and Buzz both should be booted before her. That was ridiculous Pam was in the bottom 2. She has been good, not the best, but good.

I think the reason why we saw so much on Kate's face is because she is not an actress or entertainer. She's used to being on TV, but on her own terms with her running the show. I felt kinda sorry for her and I am NO Kate fan.

Perhaps, but aside from all that drama, would it be expecting too much for the duration of the show for her to have just stood still and not made any faces at all? The camera caught her making at least 3 glares, sneers and blahs that I saw. None were becoming.

Sorry to say it but the Beach Boys shouldn't sing anymore - they sound really bad!!!!!

Haven't watched yet...did see a glimpse of it passing through the LR and saw Mike Love singing nasally as always so there are only 2 original IF Bruce was with him. The rest are younger guys and "Uncle Jesse."

I still love them, no matter how old, no matter how nasally, Mike Love cracks me up and I love the way he shuffles now as he has always danced in place. Now, it is just shuffling.

Perhaps you misunderstood me. I wasn't defending her. Or giving a valid reason for all the faces. I was saying she wanted everyone to know she was all upset, at what she perceives happened to her. (She likes to be a victim, it seems.)

I was shocked that Kate did not go but not so surprised that Shannen went home. I think Shannen's fanbase is not as strong as it used to be. I was a little sad that I did not see The Beach Boys and John Stamos as they were on at the same time as Casy was singing on American Idol, but it sounds like I did not miss much.

You're right about that. Kate is all about publicity. Now that I replay those clips in my mind her "faces" were hugely exaggerated and attention-getting. Acting like one of her own kids imho. At least while on stage, DWTS requires a touch of class, I guess she missed the memo.

Kate's faces were annoying, but please...lots of contestants make them. It's nothing new and pretty much par for the course during the eliminations.

Fan bases will only be able to pull Kate and Buzz through for the first couple of weeks. So while I think they will stick around a little longer, they definitely will need to start showing signs of improvement if they want to stay for a long time.

I am not suprised Pamela was in the bottom. Who would be voting for her? I can't imagine most of her fan base would be watching this show, and even if they did, be willing to vote. Plus she has a new pro partner who doesn't have a built in fan base like a Derek or Edyta.
