OFFICIAL D23 Membership available for all Disney fans--Will you join too? UPDATE

I *might* be able to go to the WDW D23 anniversary event on March 5th. I will wait to see what the cost will be (it includes dinner and desert party). Also, no guarantee that I will be able to get a spot. Space is limited and it sounds like these events sell out in a matter of minutes (or less).

I sure would like to go though...but I will have to pass if it is too expensive or I can't get a space.

Studio Tours are now $50 per person.

Glad I had the opprotunity to go while it was free! (Of course, I spent waaay more than $50 in the studio giftshop and the adjoining Disney store, so that more than made up for it ;))

My DH gave me a D23 membership for Christmas so I am new to this. I would love to go to the D23 event in WDW on March 5. Anyone know when tickets go on sale? Thanks!

I'm glad to see that Disney announced these new D23 Events. It says that more are planned...

I hope a 2010 D23 Expo is in the works! :cool1:
Last year, the Expo was like a dream come true... I really hope Disney can offer this experience to D23 members again in the near future. Worth every penny.

01.29.10 - Ever dream that Disney's biggest fans could take over Fantasyland for one night? We do, too! To grant that wish, D23 is taking over all of Fantasyland for a once-in-a-lifetime bash to celebrate our first anniversary.

D23 is taking over all of Fantasyland for a spectacular bash to celebrate our first anniversary.

D23 Members and their guests will savor specialty coffee and an array of tantalizing Disney-inspired desserts including pastries, cookies, cupcakes, and of course, Mickey-shaped krispies! A "no host" beverage bar will also be available to toast this memorable affair.

Has anybody received any of the renewal materials yet? I got my email and renewed on 1/4 but Disneyshopping.com hasn't charged my credit card or shipped anything. The order is showing as "Active" though. I contacted Disney this morning but I was wondering if anybody else was having the same issues.

Help!!!

I lost my membership card. is there anyway I can get that number back?
you need the number to renew as well....

I joined D23 on December 31st and finally received my welcome package last week. I am curious, however, about the "free gift" (i.e. the lithograph of the new official portrait for mickey) that arrived separately: besides the lithograph, is there any letter contained within the package that is addressed to me and/or contains my home address? I have yet to open it as I am thinking of giving it as a gift to someone - I just would hate for there to be a letter of somekind addressed to me wrapped in with the lithograph. If there isn't, it's all set to go.

There is a letter - not addressed to you specifically but to "D23 Charter Member" along with a certficate of authenticity. Of you are giving it to someone I would open the tube and pull out the member letter.

Im a charter member too, I got mine as a christmas present! Its still not here yet ( Guest services is now helping) but It should be here soon.

woot Im a charter member!!

Still waiting for mine to show!

I wish I had mine before it was available in stores. Doesn't seem quite right that they get it before I do and I am a paying member!

I usually get my magazines pretty quick, but this one hasn't come yet Dx

I renewed early and everything..

I am a tad bit confused....The D23 website has the web extras for the new spring issue.

So under the news & features section with the title Flights of Fantasy they have a picture of Walt. The captain for this pictures reads...

"Walt Disney goes for a stroll on the construction site of the Cinderella Castle at Fantasyland at Disneyland, the original inspiration for the land at Magic Kingdom that is undergoing an out-of-this-world expansion in 2012."

My question is....Is the Cinderella Castle a typo?:confused3

Thanks!

I'm also waiting for my quarterly case I ordered from D23 and I jst bought ticket to the 1st anniversary party! Whoo!

Another Charter Member here that has renewed. Has anybody heard or know when the tickets for D23's Flowers and Fireworks will be announced?

Just did it today! YAY!

This is the one thing I wanted for Christmas that I wanted but didn't get. Tax money comes in and BOOM! YAY!!!!

Anyone gets tickets to the D23 1 yr anniversary party? My fiance and I did:goodvibes At first we weren't sure, because of the cost. We are AP holders and we dont need the 1 day ticket. But we decided it's been the only D23 event so far that we've been able to attend, so it MAY be worth it. I just wish there was a way for AP holders to get a reduced price on the party.
