My hubby, son, father, and 2 friends did the fishing excursion- they caught a lot of fish, but my hubby and son caught bigger ones when fishing off of the shore down there. I'm not sure they were suppose to fish there- but no one stopped them, so maybe you can? :confused3

I have not gone yet and would like to know what kind of tackle they are using......and whether its worth the $$$$....

The tackle is top notch - bait casters- shiners were the bait they used. {now bear with me, I have no clue what I'm writing, hubby is telling me this via the phone} I didn't even know what a lunker was but he said... it's NOT rare to catch one 3- 5.5 lbs. They caught many big bass and my dad caught one around 10 lbs but it broke the line. You don't have to bait the line, they do that.
The day they went out they did catch a lot of fish, note: when he went bait was extra? but he said to leave that to them and pay for it, it's worth it. Now fishing is still fishing... some days great day others not so great.

He said it's worth every penny. He's glad he did it. Now the following year my hubby and son just brought their own poles and went off property to get shiners- they casted out off the shore and were tearing up the fish. Big ones, huge ones... when he noticed several boats going out empty and coming back in- the cm's walked over to him and he thought for sure he was going to be asked to stop fishing there, but the cm's were asking him what he was using for bait... he told them- and the cm explained the fishing had been really bad lately, so they were out testing the areas to fish when they noticed them bringing in big fish... the cm said the fishing had been so terrible they actually refunded some money. That was a few years back- anyhoooo, I have no idea what I'm writing- I'm just typing what hubby said... he said again, it was worth every penny, caught a lot of fish, it was great having the fishing guide, great fun.

Catch and release ONLY. I do have pictures of some of the fish- I could always email you one or two.

Please post.......

I will be heading to Lake michigan for our summer vacation this coming week...

I fish the drop offs for lunker smallmouth bass.......

Not uncommon to run into 3-5lbers........good old fashion bobber sinker nightcrawler set-up.....

But a 10lber is unheard of up here.....

I'd love to sneak my ugly stik onto the docks at the marina and try my spinnerbaits...........then have a shore lunch on the beach but that might be pushing it a bit........gotta luv fish'n'chips:rolleyes:
