Official APH Rate Info for Universal Loews Hotel Properties

You can look at the prices via the AP link without having an AP in hand. Check your individual dates. If you see something great, I would suggest booking it quickly because you can cancel up to 5-6 days out and availability/prices will change. You can always make a final decision later.

Right now, standard 2 queens is $871:

And park view 2 queens is $1239

You would be getting effectively no entry value from the AP if you aren't going to the 2 original parks at all, expect for getting the earlier entry to HHN. You would also have the opportunity to pop into one of the other parks for a few hours (last few hours on your arrival day are great for this). You would also get the AP discounted price on single day Epic tickets which is around $20 per ticket.
This was so kind of you, thank you. People like you is what makes Disboards so awesome!! The numbers absolutely work out to put me ahead, Universal Pass here I come!!!

I love the Bourne Show, the Seuss Trolley, and the Jurassic water ride, so I can def see myself popping in for one of those things.

One last question—does the AP have to be activated to book those rates? I know that to buy the single ticket it needs to be.

Wondering if anyone has any experience in "late cancelling" due to a rebooking at a better rate. Had Hard Rock booked for 5/19 then found Portofino for the same night at a significantly lower price - booked it on 5/14 at 8pm and cancelled my Hard Rock reservation, only to see that I was about 2 hours past the cancellation deadline (6pm). We are annual passholders and have another trip booked in September. Totally my mistake - just wondering if I have any chance of getting a refund for the Hard Rock night?

You might want to give them a call. It might not automatically refund but if you call you might get someone who can manually refund.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask—when does the cheapest AP become “worth it” for room discounts?

My plans for the year include a single night at HHN where I’m happy to stay anywhere on property and then 2 days at epic. Helios Jan 21-23 is looking like 1300 total.

Are the discounts steep enough to justify one of us getting the pass?

Thanks!!

We have the lowest level pass and so far are saving $200+ USD on our upcoming hotel reservation. I think if you were already planning a return trip (as we were) then it's a no brainer. The cost of the AP was around $50 total more than the 5 day tickets would have been for us. Depends on your individual scenario. We've also managed to slot both our visits into AP days in the summer/early fall, so we've gotten the additional 10% everywhere that we wouldn't normally be entitled to.

I want to mention offhandedly that as I've been checking for better AP rates at "the big three," I have noticed that AP rates at Stella Nova have been pretty good for certain June dates, around $125 or so. If you are hardcore into Epic, this might be a good choice depending on your specific dates. I have also seen that Aventura comes down near this level sometimes, and I think (unless they've clamped down on this) you can walk over to Sapphire Falls for their water taxi, so this might also be worth considering.

Teeth fell out of mouth pricing AP rates September for a week, HHN focus

Rates still high-ish

Conversely, shocked to see

Helios vs CB = $50 avg night+ 😳

I checked for a few nights in October.

For the nights I was interested in, full rack rate at a Disney All Star is less than the annual pass discount rate at Endless Summer! 😲

For the days I want to go to UOR in mid-October, Helios (PV room) is $60 more per night (AP rate) than if I went over New Years. I get that HHN is extremely popular, I have a decent tolerance for high hotel rates, but what they want for Helios for that timeframe is absurd, imo considering its distance from the North campus and no EP.
I honestly wonder how many people are willing to pay this. I doubt it holds much appeal for the HHN diehards. I checked religiously last year during HHN and almost flew out there just because Helios was so CHEAP. I'm seriously hoping prices go down at least somewhat.

Rates dropped enough my week in Sept @ that we now have a placeholder

I know many people who have cancelled their vacation plans to the FL amusement parks, many even if a roadtrip to the beach.

Events may wind up being heavy on locals and international travelers with plans long in place this year.

If the cost of living keeps spiraling, may just see the hotel rates drop closer into event this year to fill the rooms

Yeah I don't normally stay a weekend night if I can help it. We're doing one Friday night in December at Royal Pacific and I booked it at $420 in March and I haven't seen it that low since. Orlando Informer just announced an event for that night as well so I'm not sure how that affects rates. If it doesn't go down I'm fine with though.

Yeah its pretty nuts - weekend are just crazy but it averages down for the week.
This year the average is higher than years in the past no doubt - by quite a bit.
I have a Sunday as low as 103.55 but the Saturday is 256.50 for Aventura.
I usually get Dockside for and average of 110 but this year its 165.

Right now the average for Aventura is around 265 - but I expect as we get closer the the event that price will go down - that has been my experience in the past. Almost every year I cancel and rebook a week or two out for a better rate - although not so sure that will happen this year.

This is why I start checking every day in January for my projected dates and keep checking every day.

My DD planned to buy APs this year and stay 4 nights at an Endless Summer this October.

But even with the AP discount, her 4 nights comes out to $1023 for Dockside, the cheapest she could find!

It’s made her rethink Universal and switch to Disney.

I used to look every day until recently. A guy in the Universal reddit posted about a site he built that will track it for you! Very handy. You can set a threshold and have it send alerts to you. I have one set for my one December night and then another for any premier hotel that night.
It also has wait times, ride alerts etc.
