Can you get AP rates on the website? That would make this whole issue so much easier!

Got a very nice CM who said she didn't think the AP codes were out. When I politely asked her to please check, she said "Oh, they ARE out for 2004!". I was able to get Polynesian garden view for $199.59 per night (taxes included) starting January 8th, for 3 nights. Unfortunately my dates of January 1, 2, and 3rd were almost sold out (a King room at the Contemporary and something at the Beach Club still available, though) so I'm holding onto my WL reservations at $188.60 per night (AAA rate) for those dates.

I was asked for my zip code, but even my crazy Canadian postal code was fine with them - I'm not sure what they use it for. I got a message that my expected wait time was approximately 4 minutes, and then waited about 10 minutes after that before someone picked up the line.

Jan 11-16 Pop Century 54.60 down from 68.68/night AAA
Jan 16-18 AKL Savanah room 171.50 down from 260.63 with AAA
I'll have to call back for Jan 10 I guess.

Well I was finally successful!!!! I booked the Contemporary garden wing for $218.50 Jan.2- Jan.10. I asked about Pop Century and they said no AP rates there. The tower was $279.88.

CIndyann- did you ask them to see if they could apply an AP rate to your your WL ressie? Just wondering , because that's what I'm trying to do now.

Just changed my exsisiting res. for AKL concierge $277 a night tax included. On hold about 10min. no problem getting AP rate.

Finally got through...

AKL Standard for $121.54 w/tax.

No CBR for Feb 4th-8th at all. Only CS and POR availability.

Seems spotty availability this time around.

Anyways, switched all 4 nights to AKL for less than AAA rate at CBR.

Got WL this morning for 1/21-1/29 woodsview. 139 tx included. Requested confirmation sent just to be safeAsked for annual pass discount. She said immediately that they were out. Computers were very slow accepting the changes though.

Talking to a CM to apply AP rate to existoing ressie at WL_ says she's getting the rate, but the computer won't allow her to change it to the AP rate on my ressie! CM syas she should be able to do that, so- she's put me on hold.... keep your fingers crossed!

Just got off the phone Had about 30 second wait Changed my rate at PC from $77 to $49 a night. We are staying there 2 nights before moving to BCV. I am excited as this will pay for another dinner.

AH HA!!!!!!!!!!!!! DONE! I was able to have the AP rates applied to me exisiting ressie at WL CY view- for 156.10 down from 237.00! What a deal! SHe actually had a little trouble, so had to rebook the room for me and give me anew ressie #- but that's OK! I have m y AP rate. Well, I guess I could go to sleep right now, it is 4:47 am here in Portland, (Been up since 3:30am thinking about this!) but I really want to know what everyone else was able to get!

Ok, get this! I called early this morning and spoke to a Cm that said no ap codes were out, she was not having a magical morning. So, I immidiatly called back to try to get another cm. I was on hold 40 minutes! I got a wonderful cm who was typing like crazy to get my code in and then she comes back on and says the ap rate has already been applied to your ressie? huh? I asked how did that happen, she asked if I had called earlier this morning. I said yes, but cm said no codes were out. Turns out the first cm applied the ap rate first thing this morning. Ok, whatever, I am very, very happy about it. But, what a strange situation. I wish I would have known the first cm had done it, I would not have been sitting here with me cell phone warming up my ear for 40 minutes.

We got pop century Jan. 31-Feb. 7th for $765 for 2 rooms!

Yeah, Merry Christmas, that music really got me in the christams mood! LOL!

I just decided I am out of control. I saved some money but just enough to pay for the additional cost of the AP. So now I am sitting here thinking how I can squeeze in another trip in one year. So I will get good use of my AP. I dont have kids. But I love my nephews, and I am bringing them in Jan to disney as there christmas present. They dont know yet. I cant wait to see their faces, christmas morning. So now I am thinking I have to think of an excuse to go again, so I can use my AP. hum.. hum..

Its just the thrill of the chase. I didnt need an AP rate that bad because I didnt net save that much money but I wanted one.


I was thinking since I am going this year the 1/23 to the 1/27 maybe I will go next year but a week earlier so I can use the same APs. That would work.

YEH...

In the true disney spirit. the first trip is not over yet but planning the second.
