well actually.....what state is he from? because not all of the US considers 18 an "adult" here in NY it's 17 and in some places it's 16.

I was sad to see Chickezie go.

I was surprised to see Ryan point out that David Cook did a cover of Chris Cornell's version of Billie Jean. Last night I thought he did it himself. I like David but he needs to make sure it doesn't seem like he's taking credit for a song arrangement he didn't do.*

Jason-cracks me up. I really like him because he's just so- himself. Oh and just because he has dreadlocks, it doesn't make him a stoner. That's just stereo-typing.

I really think Ramiele or Kristy should have went home, oh well.

*ETA-I was wrong they did say it was that guys version David did last night, I missed it, probably yapping as usual. LOL

I bet the judges didnt know that. I didnt. I assumed he just remade Michaels. If thats si if he copied someone then I might have to take back some of my praise. It sounded good but I thought it was his.

What about Def Leppard? They are one of my favorite bands. I'm seeing them next month!

STILL waiting for the DC story. My kids are griping because they want the TV back.

They're saying that either you get great singers or "Vegas-style" singers.

Nothing about anyone in particular. Brought up as they're doing the Greensboro Coliseum for the first time since 1987.

they said yesterday right before David's performance that it was Chris Cornell's version, so i don't know how you could have missed that.

I can't believe that Chikezie went home before Ramiele. I can't even believe that Ramiele wasn't in the bottom 3.

Personally, I think she's awful.

I think Seyesha (sp?) is much better.

Of course, just my opinions!

Or AI for that matter. I guess mom and dad need a car and a house. I all for family too but I would never ask my kids for a nickle. If they chose to help thats there choice and I hope that is what happened with David

in my opinion, i just don't think she deserves to be there. she's constantly in the bottom 3, and her performances always lack any kind of personality. she's like a robot up there singing....strange dance moves and all. she should have been gone weeks ago. but nope, she'll stick around for a few more weeks now.

I agree but to hate someone cause of this show. I dont care for Elliott because of his voice but I dont hate him. Hate is so childish over something like this. I hate the guy that killed my dad but I am trying to forgive. See my point.

OK the "news" story was just stupid. Basically they said the judges should pay more attention and not fall all over someone for being original when they are covering someone else's cover. The only person who seemed to have an issue with it is the person "reporting" the story.

My DD missed the Berenstain Bears for THAT. She's not happy.

OK the "news" story was just stupid. Basically they said the judges should pay more attention and not fall all over someone for being original when they are covering someone else's cover. The only person who seemed to have an issue with it is the person "reporting" the story.

My DD missed the Berenstain Bears for THAT. She's not happy.

I never watch those news shows after Idol anymore. They always make it seem like it's something "shocking"...but they wait until the very last second of the news to show it (so you watch for like an hour) and it always ends up being really stupid.

My youngest son totally had me crying today

THIS A BIT OT: but relates to parenting post somewhat

My dad was killed in OCT. actullay on my youngest sons Birthday, he turned 7. Well ever since then he has been getting into trouble at school. Minor stuff playing in line, in class, stufff like that. Well Monday we get a note he bloodied a kids nose. I have always taught him to defend himself and as long as he didnt start it he would not be punished by me. Well the kid hit him first but they were playing some kind of hitting game. The teacher said he did not get in trouble for hitting cause they both were doing it but when the boy started bleeding my son did nothing then lied about what happened. So I sit him dowm today to talk about it. I explained what he should have done and about lying...etc etc...well a couple years ago my dad had fallen walking with him and he ran to get me for help. My dad was hurt bad but ended up ok. I brought that up today about how he helped Grandpa that day he fell...and OH my the dam expoloded. He started crying uncontrollably. It took me forever but he finally started talking about it and how he missed grandpa and stuff. I told him that Grandpa is not gone just in his heart with God and that he still sees everything you do good and bad and he wouldnt be proud of his "little Hoss" for getting in so much trouble....He calmed down. Ihope talking helped him. he has been seeing the counselor at school too.

He had me crying that was toughest thing I have done as a parent yet..

i'm sorry to hear about your father, Dan. that's horrible.

and that's so sad about your son, but you did the good parent thing, and i'm sure he's happy that you were there for him, and that you two were able to talk about it. that means a lot to kids.

i'm one of those people who have parents that.....well.... are not that great. i won't get into a big, long discussion about it, but my parents and i never really got along, and they always think so negative of me, and it really sucks. DH2B has some really great parents, and once in a while i think "why can't i have that?" but i guess everything happens for a reason, right?? maybe it's to teach ME to be a good parent when i have kids.

I think David has a better voice than Chris Cornell. I also think it does take guts to perform a lesser known version of a song. I think he DID come up with his own version for most of this song though (I know at least one other he credited to someone else.) But I don't see what the big deal is, I guess. I mean, EVERYONE is pretty much singing someone elses version of the song. David is just smart enough to pick different versions of things.
