just because they are "popular" doesn't make them good. I mean...people like Fergie, for goodness sake! Yuck...haha.

The general public does not know a whole lot about music.

You mean the same people that watch AI

Like I said earlier my least favorite and I believe Robin banned me from ever talking about him...I did alot of Elliott bashing

Okay...so who was your most favorite? Please don't say Kellie Pickler...haha.

Sorry I like Fergie and the Black Eye Peas

Well, she did that weird kind of cracking thing with her voice. I don't know how to explain it. But she did it a lot and it got to be super annoying. Melinda's voice was much more pleasing to my ears.

I enjoyed doolittle too

So I'm watching Bucky doing "Thunder Rolls" on idol. He does that annoying voice cracking thing that I don't like too. Yuck. I really like this song actually....he's butchering it.

And now I'm watching some Bucky video for a song called "It's good to be us"...and I can't understand a word he's saying. Yeah. Just not a fan. And he's still doing the annoying voice cracking.

Hmm....well, I guess I'm just not cool. Because I don't really like any of them. Bucky? EWW. Kellie Pickler...well, I only know the song she sang on idol a few weeks ago and it was horrid. So she gets an "EWW" from me as well. Daughtry...we all know I have strong negative feelings about him. Kat was okay. And I really can't remember Elliott.

I don't agree with the charts, I guess. Maybe I'm just way too picky.

I don't like ANY of them. Daughtry just comes off as SOOOO full of himself. But it sounds like he gave DC a kick in the pants/inspiration on some level to try out. I have to give him at least that! :lmao: Bucky and Kellie are country so no and um...NO. HATED Katherine during the season and have avoided her like the plague since. Someone of the AI newsgroups that I was reading that season said she always had this look on her face as if she just smelled a fart at the Opera. I thought that captured her attitude perfectly! And Elliot. I do remember thinking he was good during the show, but not so much that I'd spend money to hear him sing now. I listened to a few samples of his CD on iTunes and I was decidedly NOT impressed.

And the charts are just not what they used to be. Some Flo Rida thing had been number one for weeks on end and I would not know it if I heard it. In high school I listened to the Top 40 every week without fail. I knew every song. Now I look at the top 10 and I scratch my head. There is ONE song in the current top 10 that I can hum to you. ONE. :sad1: I have stopped caring about the charts. They are overwhelming full of rap "music" which I find abhorrent on every level. Everything is this rap dude featuring that rap dude. :sad2:

Sorry. I do not. It's a personal opinion. And besides...she'll always be Stacey from Kids Incorporated to me...haha!

Basically what I'm saying is...success does not always equal talent.

We all have different ideas of what we consider to be "talent" and whatnot. And I'm fine with that. I happen to think that most AI seasons are lacking a lot of true talent anyway.

Bucky is my least favorite of the country ones. I like Carrie over Bucky.

Well, I don't really care for the county people, in general. But even though I'm not really a fan of Carrie...I can still see that she is talented with what she does. It's just not my thing. Bucky...um...not so much. I couldn't even listen to his song all the way through.

must be Flo Rida "Low"....great stuff....

I didnt say I was a big fan of any of those contestants except Taylor. All I was saying based on success after the show more has come out of that season than any other. I never said any were great singers but the most talented group. I liked Taylor but he will never make a chart hit, same goes for Rubeun....Now far as success goes no one will ever touch Carrie, no one

She's talented but when I see her perform I don't emotions come through. The first time I truly have seen emotion since Idol was when she got asked to join the Opry family. I may not go to the right shows but I just don't see much emotion.

Exactly! I don't know if it's because I'm getting old or what. But I rarely listen to the radio or anything anymore. (Although I do love the 80's weekend on a station out here.) If you don't mind me asking...what year did you graduate high school?

Told you I was a rap guy first

Them baggy sweat pants
And the Reeboks with the straps
She turned around and gave that big booty a smack
She hit the flo
Next thing you know
Shawty got low low low low low low low low

No emotion...talk about no emotion...Ramiele! She sucks the life out of all the songs she does. I can't imagine Carrie being that emotionless, right? Haha.
