Who else did you like from that year?

I have been watching from the beginning as well. I liked the first season because you had no David As or Carlys or KLCs -- most of them were plucked from obscurity.

This is fast becoming my favorite season. The last time I looked forward to the show or cared much about what happened was season 2.

I was thinking the same thing Kelly and who...no one else came out of season 1....kinda like Fantasia's season...they can scrap that season al together or give the title to the best talent on that season Jennifer Hudson...Season 5 has 5 people that have songs on the charts add in Taylor, Mandissa and Ace that was talent. I like I was talking about earlier AI made it that I really didnt like Elliott I ahd emotions about all the contestants. I am just not getting it this year.

Bucky, Daughtry, Elliott, Katherine McPhee, Kellie Pickler...they have all had at least one song that has been up on whatever chart....I am not sure if Taylor did or not. I dont think so.

Haha. Well, I just can't handle him most of the time. His mannerisms kind of bug me. Very Jim Morrison/Michael Hutchence. I don't know. And I also don't really find him attractive....haha. He's just not my "type." I've recently discovered that I prefer and oval face to a round face. Apparently it's a weird psychological/subconcious thing to prefer a specific face shape.

I am not a fan of his looks either.


I tend not to watch the performances, I just listen to most of it. I get a whole different view if I watch vs just listening.

I did watch at least some of just about all the seasons. None of them really held my interest. There was no one I really cared to watch. The season with Fantasia and last season were probably my least favorite. I get annoyed really easily. And Fantasia's voice annoyed me. So did Blake's voice and what's her name that won last season (my mind has gone blank...can't think of her name.)

Yeah Jordin won last season and she has my, well it was my favorite song till George Straits new album came out yesterday, "No Air" its a duet with Chris Brown and its a good song. I think they are set to perform it on AI right Mandy

But you cannot deny what they have done on the radio so far. I mean to have all that out of one season to me makes it the most talented season....Kellie also writes alot of her songs and has 3 country hits, Bucky 2 I think, Elliott's song went #1 I believe, McPhee has 2 I think and Daughtry is on 4th hit now I believe. I am not a huge fan of any of them but you cannot deny what they have accomplished.

I had to share my excitement, Hillary Lindsey is suppose to be performing at one of the shows I went to and she's the writer behind some of Carrie Underwood Songs. Also Luke Laird who wrote her Last Name single

The funny thing is it's a benefit show with like 10 or more artists and it's like 10 bucks. I love being so close to Nashville.

just because they are "popular" doesn't make them good. I mean...people like Fergie, for goodness sake! Yuck...haha.

Well, she did that weird kind of cracking thing with her voice. I don't know how to explain it. But she did it a lot and it got to be super annoying. Melinda's voice was much more pleasing to my ears.
