Official Amazing Race 25th No Spoilers

I'm wondering if it is staying on Friday night since Jeff said it follows Survivor the other night which is on Wed. now. I missed the day it starts back for both shows. Feb something.

I think it was February 25 (a Wednesday).

I was so happy when Phil eliminated the wrestlers!! Boy, were they bitter!! They never would have finished the last challenge, anyway.....

I was hoping the surfers would win. But, I'm happy with the girls!! They were truly underdogs and stayed low under the radar.

What "new" show? I turned it off after the win. What did I miss?

The next Amazing Race will be teams who never met....the race will be their first dates...blind dates. I guess they'll do some match thing and put together couples that would be good dating matches (maybe use a dating website).

They said all will be dating couples, but only 5 of them will be blind dates.

My first choice was the soul surfers, but I am happy with the scientists winning.

I knew someone was going to be eliminated when there were only 3 life guard boats.

Not sure how I feel about the dating Amazing Race. I was hoping they would do an all-star one.

LOVE that the scientists won!!! So happy to see the wrestlers go especially after how nasty they were to the scientists. I knew the dentists wouldn't win...has any team that won a lot of legs actually won the race too?

This was a good season.

I think they were fake. I don't believe it's possible for a couple to spend that much time together in such a high stress situation and NEVER bicker or annoy the hell out of one another at least once. I just get the feeling they were playing the perfect couple.


Her voice drove me nuts. She sounds like a whiny teen.

Isaw him hit the back of the seat, while his wife was driving. Something was off with him. He reminds me of people that take steroid supplements to bulk up their muscles, his eyes were bulging too.

. Looking forward to see them in a few interviews. I was happy they one. I wanted Bethanny and her husband to win, but I am happy they pulled it off.

I am thrilled that the girls won! The wrasslers were so bitter - so, the final leg was non-elimination. Many legs were non-eliminations. I was rooting for Adam & Bethany. I would have been ticked off if the dentists had won. Jim was so obnoxious! And what's with the overly white teeth. I wouldn't even go to a dentist who had such phony white teeth. I mean, I believe in whitening teeth, but theirs were blinding!

I'll watch next time, but the concept is odd.

It wasn't a non elimination, Phil said this leg isn't over yet and handed them their next clue.

This was a good season.

The only one I can think of is the Army guy and his wife......they paddle boarded across the lake without completing the previous challenge on the finally lag & had to do it again.....no idea of their names, but he was hyper competitive about winning the most legs possible.

I don't know that the 5 blind date couples will actually get anywhere, look at the disaster that was Mark & Mallory after Bopper couldn't race, same basic idea. Just very uncomfortable and seems to be a huge disadvantage. I will still watch though....

That is EXACTLY what I thought-Mark and Mallory to the power of 5. Without some kind of previous connection, I think you are at a real disadvantage. Now, if it were a true internet relationship and the first time you had met, that would be different. But a blind date? That lasts a month? It will be interesting to see how it plays out, though.

It's just the premiere episode. Then it moves to Friday, according to what I read.

Or, that's the end of sweeps month. Criminal Minds could be going on hiatus for a couple of months.

I was really disappointed that the surfers didn't win. Bethany is quite an impressive woman and seems to have found a great partner in life.

I'm somewhat shocked that the candy girls (or whatever they were called) won given that the one woman wasn't in great shape. But I didn't dislike them.

Finally watched it last night. I was pleased with the outcome. I personally didn't care if the surfers or the scientists won, but I felt the surfers probably deserved it a tad more.

Whoever commented on Bethany's voice, my DH says the same thing. He says she talks while smiling, but at the same time, it seems like her jaw is wired shut so you can't understand what she's saying. Then on top of it, what you can hear is really whiny and annoying. I think he has thought about that too much!

The dentists' teeth stopped bugging me, but man, his eyes were too much. Can you imagine him doing work on your mouth with his mask on and all you can are those bulging eyes coming at you?!

Wrestlers...Robbie is fine (although, someone really needs to tell him that he overdid it with the waxing on the brows and he looks like a drag queen), but she is so pessimistic and nasty. I really don't like her. Doesn't matter that the candy girls made to the last leg...the wrestlers would have come in last no matter what.

As far as the next season, I agree with the others that for the blind-date couples, they will be at a huge disadvantage to the other dating couples. I'm guessing there will be some twist that helps level the playing field somehow.

My daughter said the same thing about Bethany being so calm all the time. I told her, once you've had an arm bitten off by a shark, nothing else probably seems stressful!

I'm sure there was editing involved to make them look better and the dentists look worse. I thought Bethanys voice was odd, too. But I still love them and would have rather seen them win. Happy for the scientists, though, they were definitely my second choice of the remaining teams.

Finally watched the last episode last night. I did like that they made it so you could not help on the timeline task. I had started to like the wrestlers until the airport.

I watched an onlive "Live" interview with the winners. They both said they have to go back to school to finish their PhD's, so I guess the took some semester's off.

Amy raced with 2 fractures in her pelvis, she said that was more painful than the massages. They wished they would of showed them laughing in between, not just screaming in agony.

They said they are really good friends with the NYC bike messenger girls and the wrestlers. She said they all got together to watch the finale. They also said they are not just friends with this season racers, but other seasons and the film crew too.

It was a pretty good interview. Both said they would do it again in a heart beat, and they said too that all the winners should come back and compete again.

DH is a food scientist and has worked with the two women, so he was happy to hear they won.
