If I remember correctly, I didn't get my corral assignment for the 10K last year until I picked up my bib at the expo - it was noted on the bib. Somebody else might be more help with this....

So my friend has a higher bib number than the P corral went up to last year. Does that mean she's still in P or that they'll be adding another corral?

Depending on how many runners registered for the event, they'll most likely add more corrals or restructure how many runners are assigned to each corral.

2012's & 2013's PHM corrals only went up to H (can't find a pic of 2012's, but they were pretty much the same both years):

and then went up to P for 2014 due to increased numbers. We'll have to wait and see how the corrals are divvied up for 2015's race, but hopefully it's not too much of an increase.

Two of my sisters will be in A. My niece will be in D. I will be in F. DD and my other sister are about a minute apart in time. Based on last year's corrals, one would be in G, the other in H. In other news, Magic Bands have shipped.

I did all three races last year and I think you're right.

I third this recollection. Pickup was the first I learned of my corral for the 10k. And in case my recollection was wrong, I googled Enchanted 10k corrals and did not come up with a corral listing like you can find if you google PHM corrals.

The bibs display both corral assignments.

I was very worried last year because I was injured and needed all the cushion I could get. I had B/F assignments and was fine. I used the same 10k time this year so I expect similar assignments, but regardless I will be dropping back this year to run with my sister. She was injured when she ran her 10k. Her time was about 12 minutes slower than mine. I am guessing that means 3-4 corrals further back for the half, 1-2 for the 10k? Either way we are both healthy now (knock, knock, knock on wood) and our paces are faster than our submitted times, so I'm not nearly as nervous as last year.

Question - I assume 5k corrals are like the 10k? No assignment until you get the bib? My 6 y.o. daughter and I are 3000+ apart.

I would expect them to be much closer to the 2014 charts, the 2012/13 are misleading as they have gone to a lot more corrals across the board for all races. I would not expect them to reverse that trend.

I have read some folks doing GSC have numbers in the 27,xxx so that will change things right there as last years only went to 26,xxx. Not sure if there are folks with half numbers in the 19,xxx or how high that is trending.

I just didn't want it to confuse anyone since those were so very different. I'd expect them to stay with the same number of corrals (though P) but the numbers to be adjusted as there are definitely more GSC bibs than last year, not sure about half only. Given that the WDW Marathon weekend went to P I just can't see it being more corrals than that and this is a smaller race then that was.

Actually they made the corrals smaller last year and started them closer together. About every 3 minutes. Previous years were 5-7 minutes.

What I meant was that they added more corrals (A-P versus A-H as in years past). I was talking more about adding corrals to accommodate more runners, rather than adding time to the start of each corral. I remember them changing the heats, and was thankful for that since it was a lot less waiting around.

The problem with looking at WDW is there's a lot of men in that field. Which skews the field a bit with numbers.
