Official all things Princess Half Weekend 2015 thread! DOoneY and offical mErcH on DisneyParksBLOg

The waiver site doesn't look fully active. Maybe it will be good to go tomorrow. I signed up for text alerts, but nothing has come through on my phone. Got an email that says I'll be tracking myself.

Got in 8 miles today. I live in a college town and nearly got mowed down by a college kid in the pouring rain at mile 4. I almost quit after that but the sun came out and kept me motivated. One more long run, the it's Glass Slipper time!

I got the text. I think the confirm numbers might be bib number... I'm doing glass slipper and the number on my text was 21236. That matches up with the numbering from last year.

Interesting..I signed up for runner tracking and got text DISP XXX (okay the XXX stand for numbers). I got one for my son and one for me. My number is higher…well I run a bit slower than my son, so it may well be our bib number.

DD tracked a bunch of us and hasn't gotten any texts. Twitter came through without numbers, but that's how it usually is. Mine have all said success.

Mine matches up somewhat close to last year. I was 21695 last year, 22004 this year. I used the same 10k for both, but this year the confirmation I got from track shack has a slower estimated finish than last year. So weird that the estimate changed, but the lower number makes sense with the change. I requested tracking and got the confirmation text like Joan above confirm DISP XXXXX.

The DISP XXX is your bib number. It only works on text though. Emails or others won't show it. Now we see what the corrals look like, or if they are similar to last year. Based on last years chart my placement seems to be correct.

Waiver site isn't live yet but that will be the correct link once it gets turned on.

I don't have corral info from last year, but was in corral c for the half with number 20413, and corral A for the 10k. The bib had two corral assignments for the GSC. Good luck to all you GSC..just don't have it in me to do again.

Got ten miles in yesterday on the treadmill and thanks to some bad math, I thought I ran it at a 14:22 min/mile and was pretty disappointed with that time. Luckily my husband pointed out that I added my time wrong and did it at a 13:22 min/mile which makes me feel much better! It's still slower than my normal weekly runs, but I always heard your long runs are supposed to be about a minute slower or so. Anybody know if that's true?

Less than a month!! :)

If these are bib numbers and the corrals don't change much I'll be a very happy camper. Moving up from P last year to M this year would give me the cushion I need to not worry too much about getting swept. I never even saw the balloon ladies last year but injuries have slowed down my training this year.

Praying that this info is correct! My number is 11832.

Added: When I went back and searched using number given as the bib number, my name showed up, so it looks like these are definitely the bib numbers!

I also found this for the 2014 corral assignments: http://as1.wdpromedia.com/media/rundisney/pdf/princess/2014/CorralAssignmentsPRNHalf.pdf

Signed up for text alerts and it displayed "DISP 23XX", and so I checked by searching that as my bib number and it checks out, which would put me in Corral E for the Half. Better than I expected! Last year my bib number was 39XX and I was in Corral G.

Ran 7 miles yesterday in my new shoes, with a pace of 9:43/mile. I'm used to 9:30/mile in my old shoes, so these are definitely taking some getting used-to, but I'm still happy to log some long runs with a less than 10 minute/mile pace. Shooting for a sub-2:20 finish for the Half this year.

Long runs are supposed to be slower. They are about building endurance, simply about time being out on the road. They are supposed to be a relatively easy level of effort. Different schools of thought on how much slower. Jeff Galloway's mantra is the long run cannot be too slow. Others will calculate it differently. You can play around with some of the online calculators out there which will give you suggested paces for all kinds of different runs (tempo, interval, long, etc) but it also can be easily confusing and overwhelming. I've seen ranges as high as 2 m slower.

All the links look like PHM corral assignments. Does anyone have 2014 10K corral assignments?

Thank you.

Thank you so much for posting this information!!! I would have never known to go look for this - assumed we would get an email or something :confused3

Anyway, based on last year's data, I'd be in corral E, which is way better than I expected (figured G or H), so I'm really stoked!! Unfortunately, it's very snowy here today, so looks like indoor runs this week , so glad I got a long run in on Friday when it was sunny and 35 degrees :goodvibes

If I remember correctly, I didn't get my corral assignment for the 10K last year until I picked up my bib at the expo - it was noted on the bib. Somebody else might be more help with this....
