Sorry for the dump question, but I have never done a race yet (going to do my first in my town next month)

What happen when you get swept?

If you google "Swept Disney Race" (no quotes) a lot of the results will be blog posts from people who have been swept at a Disney race. Reading them should give you an idea of what to expect.

I have a question about proof of time. It says that proof of time must come from a certified race. How do I know if a race is certified? I ran the PHM in 2012 but can't remember much. I thought you had to submit a link to a website from the race you ran with your time but it doesn't mention a link for this year. Also, I plan on being faster by February but finding 10k + races in my area are hard to come by. If I submit a race time but put a faster finish time do you think they will take that into consideration?

In the past, Disney allowed Visa members early registration to events. So far this year not the case. Only DVC and AP have been allowed early registration.

I have submitted a race finish time from a local half here...I am not sure what they mean by certified other than meaning it has to be a real race...I guess they want to make sure you didn't make up a race! If you follow their instructions on how to write it down...that should work fine...if you get a faster time in the next few months, you will be able to email them the specific info.
I am guessing the reason the link wouldn't work is because they probably have no intention of scanning down a list of thousands of names for a runner to confirm their time. So if you put it down in the order they ask...I guess it would make it easier for them to confirm it.

I had better write the registration date down on my calendar and be at the ready when it opens! I want to do this half!

Someone corrected me on that a few years ago. Never put 'only' before anything you do!

Last year on this board people were writing...I am only doing a half, I am only doing a full and even I am only doing the Goofy!!!
Whatever you do...good for you! No only.

I believe the minimum age for the 10k is ten years old. No travel providers are listed on the runDisney website at this time.
