"Official" 2025 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Does Disney keep record of who were in first aid and for how long by chance?
Yes, I got really sick just before Jollywood Nights last year and had to go to first aid. I had to check in and out. I did stop by Guest Services on the way out because I didn't even make it to the beginning of the party. They were kind enough to refund our money. They escorted us out of the park; I assumed they wanted to verify we weren't using the tickets, which was fine with me.

ETA: There was not another night we could have gone to Jollywood Nights during our trip.

they start meeting at 4pm. also, the line doesn't open until 4pm (as wristbands are required to meet them, and they aren't handed out until 4pm)
They do start letting people in at 3:45 pm. If you want to be upfront you need to line up early (at least an hour). Earscouts 2024 MVMCP video shows time lapsed view of crowds upfront.

Went to the party on 11/14. It was a mixed bag.

Really enjoyed the ornament and the cookies/drinks. We got to try a lot of the food offerings. The Christmas tamale was good, the gingerbread cola was unique-glad we shared as I would have felt sick if I drank it all my self, the Christmas chicken fingers were actually quite tasty, but the best thing we tried was the pomegranate float from aloha island. It was so refreshing-definitely don’t skip this!

We got some good pictures, my daughter ride space for the first time, and my other daughter rode barnstormer as her first ever rollercoaster like my oldest had done years ago. Bought a couple party pins.

However, the parties are starting to lose their appeal to me. They are really expensive, but the bigger issue are the crowds. Disney has increased capacity and it’s really hampering the experience-for both MNSSHP and MVMCP. So they have increased the price, and capacity, but they have not increased the party time itself. The fact that the parties are only 5 hours is ridiculous. There are simply too many people now to experience a lot of the party offerings.

The line to meet Winnie the Pooh and friends reached 90 minutes on our nigh, and while our 2 year old LOVES Winnie and was wearing a Christmas shirt with him on it, we couldn’t justify spending literally 30% of our night to meet them. Jack and Sally are always crazy-even though we don’t have interest in meeting them-Mickey and Minnie were at 40 minutes and the gang in the back reached 50. Stitch’s line was crazy as well.

We were talking that night that we’d actually be willing to pay more for the tickets if it meant they lowered capacity.

My oldest did have the absolute best Mary Poppins interaction though. Mary is tucked away next to town hall back off the street and people just don’t know she’s there. There was no one else in line so Mary spent about 10 minutes with us. We jumped into the chalk drawing complete with the wink and blink, we tried talking to her umbrella, and took pictures lifting off while hold the umbrella.

So there were definitely magical moments that night-the fireworks were great and the parade is very long! But it’s getting to the point where the parties are starting to lose the value they once had.

That’s awesome! I am hoping to pick up tickets for Thanksgiving week too. I’ve been checking online since I’m sure people are cancelling, but didn’t think to call. Does everyone think it is better to call? Maybe they won’t release them online if people cancel? We could do the 25,26 or 28.

The guest service rep told me they won’t show online because once there’s a cancellation, they are typically then purchased on the same day… so no need to constantly update their website. Therefore she said calling is the only way to obtain tickets from a cancellation.
This is good to hear and I'm going to try calling again now - my 83yo dad wanted to hold off on committing because he was worried about flights with the shutdown, so I got tickets for my family but didn't get one for him. We can only do the 28th. wish me luck!!

Good luck and fingers crossed! Try calling at least twice per day.

I got 3 tickets for the 28th last week. I was calling every chance I had. I called multiple times a day. I even got the same cast member twice in one day! lol Keep calling eventually something will come up! Good luck!

If all else fails, you may be able to buy one more ticket in park the day of— I think they hold a few back for that specific purpose (adding to existing party groups when something has gone awry in planning).

Good luck! I called multiple times a day, pretty much whenever I had a few minutes free at work. I would hope the chances of getting just one ticket would be higher than needing a whole family’s worth.

Snagged the one ticket! Thank you for all your suggestions. I was really ready to give up, but after reading your comments, and 3 days of calling 2-3x a day - we got it!

My dad better not cancel now ... 😬

Has anyone done the dessert party at MVMCP? I know typically it’s not recommended, but with an autistic kiddo it’s the only way we will get to see the fireworks.

If you stay closer to bottom of Main St it’s a lot quieter. We showed up minutes before The fireworks and had plenty of space around us. Definitely not rubbing shoulders with people.

Yup, we love doing the seats and treats even though the view is not straight on and you can't see the projections as well. We can't do the hub or Main st crowds due to my moms claustrophobia, but even if we could I'd still do the dessert party. It's so nice having some food, drinks, and seats to watch the show. It's especially nice not being packed in! If you get there early to get your table, they'll put a reserved sign on it so you can leave and go do more party things so you don't waste too much time there.

Thought I'd post about my experience using fastpasses cause I know I was looking for this info before my trip. I went Friday 11/14. I was staying off site so had to buy 3 days before. I logged in right at 7 am on Tuesday and 7D and tron were already gone. I was able to do multiLL and got haunted mansion for 3:05 to 4:05, winnie the pooh for 3:45 to 4:45, and jingle cruise for 4:40 to 5:40. I only had the party tickets in my account and no other tickets. I was happy to get jingle cruise cause that line stayed pretty solid all night.

due to an uber mishap we ended up not arriving in the park until 5 pm. we went straight to winnie the pooh and our band still scanned green no problem. We then decided to ask the workers at haunted mansion if we could use that one since it was over an hour late but our bands still scanned green at that one and we were let on without difficulty. We then did jingle cruise only 5 minutes late. So we used all 3 FP between 5 and 6. We were walking very quickly between the 3 rides though.

Our priority was rides, especially Tron cause I had never ridden it. The wait was high all evening so we decided to watch the fireworks from the tomorrowland bridge and left the bridge just before the fireworks ended. We were walking towards tron while the finale was going off and we got there to a posted 15 minute wait which I think actually only took 5 min. Just an FYI you really can't hear the music at all from the bridge (the one closest to the castle that you lets out by teacups). We had a good view of the fireworks themselves and could see some of the projections on the side of the castle.

Overall we were able to ride everything we wanted and still collect cookies but we did a lot of crisscrossing because waits at the main rides did not go down until the very end of the night and those are of course spread out with peter pan, 7D, tron, etc. We did get to collect a lot of cookies to eat, I encountered 1 worker who said it was 1 per person but everyone else happily gave us 2 at a time. The longest line was for the snowman pretzels but it still moved pretty fast and only took 10 minutes.

I have done the xmas party a few times in years past and I felt like this party was more crowded and the waits were higher than in the past. We still got to do what we wanted with smart planning and being willing to walk fast, but we weren't doing the party specific stuff like parades or characters and we were just 2 adults. The walkways were insanely crowded and we purposely stayed out of the hub entirely.

I am in a MVMCP group on FB. Almost every person is reporting back that the parties feel more crowded than they have ever been. Many are also reporting that they went to the park on a non-party day and they were able to get more done, some multiple times before the sun went down.
