"Official" 2025 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Last year we were planning to go to the party on Halloween and it sold out WEEKS before previous years and we missed out. It was the only party on our travel days so we changed our plans to early October.
This was supposed to be our redemption year to attend MNSSHP on Halloween and then go check out Epic Universe but at $229*5 I'm wondering if I should just get a 1-day hopper for almost the same price and still get the Halloween vibes plus get to hit 1 or 2 other Disney parks before entering the Universal bubble.

Decisions, decisions...

We will be there 8/23 - 8/30.

Three parties while there plus a HS AH that we'd like to do. So, we are thinking .. Sunday, 8/24 for MNSSHP for a couple of reasons. If we did the 8/26 one (which is our 25th wedding anniversary lol), the HS AH would be the following day. We'd probably be fine doing that, but thought maybe we shouldn't lol. We also don't want to do the Friday, 8/29 party since we are leaving 8/30 and will probably leave earlyish.

Yes. Definitely do the 24th. :)

It is extremely rare Disney will refund due to weather that is not park shutting down level.

That said-
To those thinking of buying tickets from OTAs like Viator (meaning your charge is billed to them and not Disney)- a reminder from last year- maybe don’t. Refunds are a mess.

I believe I was at the only party last year that Disney automatically refunded everyone after a disaster of a night- only entertainment was fireworks, drenching rain and t-storms, I left at fireworks and hundreds and hundreds of people were lined up at the ticket booth/guest relations outside MK. A push notification went out around 11 that everyone would be refunded or given a 1 day park hopper valid for one year.

I got the park hopper as I bought via I think Viator- but it was useless to me as an AP holder. It took a long time at AK guest relations the next day but Disney issued me a gift card in place of the park hopper. It was a mess, I will only ever buy direct from Disney or a Disney TA (because they never done process direct with Disney).

Booked hotel 2 weeks ago. Flights and Mears today.
Now 1 party or 2...? I say 1 now and know I'll end up adding the second as soon as the first date sells out - lol!! :hmghost: 🤣 👻🤣

Always hope the F&W bands are good but I'll take whatever.
Do you stay onsite at least so you can use the buses? I wouldn't want to do 2 parties while having to navigate my way to the TTC late and through the crowds.

Scheduled to be at WDW 8/24-9/5. I’m about ready to strangle my extended family that are coming with us for part of the trip. They say they want to do MNSSHP yet when I try to get them to nail down a date so I can purchase tickets on Thursday…crickets! If they don’t want to go, I’d prefer to do the party in Sep if they don’t go. Kinda at a loss what to do🤪

Unless you are going first night, I think you'll be able to purchase after 5/15. they won't sell out that fast.

But yes, I will be online Thursday morning grabbing our 10/30 tickets! 😂

Which day would you all pick for the event?

We land Thursday 10/9 at 2 pm, staying at GF. There is a party that night, but Worried it will be a bit much with the day of travel for kids and grandparents, but seems like it would be the quietest of the holiday weekend

Or would you do Friday 10/10 (which I assume would be busiest) or Monday Columbus Day (last night of stay)? We have 4 full days otherwise that we will be doing a dedicated day at each park, including a separate MK day, so not too worried about hitting rides at the event as much as taking in the experience
Adding my voice to the chours of people saying not arrival day. It's just too risky with the possibility your flight could be delayed or you could hit traffic. Ideally you'd be at the gates to the MK a little before 4pm. If everything goes perfectly, with you landing at 2pm then having to get luggage and drive to WDW, you'd be very unlikely to get into your room and have a minute to sit down before the party. I've done the party the night before I flew home and it made for a tired, achy flight. I'd suggest Friday. As far as busiest, all parties will sell out so there's really no difference between a Friday and a Monday.
