It’s going to be the same “crowded” at every party as they will all sell out and the attendance cap for them is the same regardless of day of the week. It’s not like one has 30K people and another has 10K. They’re all the same.

The first party will certainly be more chaotic as, well, it’s the first of the season, and bloggers will be blogging and vloggers will be vlogging. That chaos and a bit of disorganization until they get their grove may make it feel more crowded.
I'd say the first party is most likely to have long lines (or sell out) of the party exclusive food. Vloggers gotta take one bite out of everything for the content ;)

Okay but how many vloggers are there really? If a party has 30K attendees what percentage is actually vlogger/blogger/media?
The first party is the only one we will have a chance to attend. I already bought the tickets (and I'm still considering buying the first Jollywood too.) I keep reading post after post about how terrible it's going to be. It's definitely not encouraging.

The first night(s) of Jollywood Nights were not good last year. However, Disney made numerous changes for later parties. I attended the second to last one last year and had a great time. Also, rode everything and some twice. All except Slinky Dog which was down majority of the party (had shut down during regular park hours). My only complaint was the actual party time, 7pm entry, but still had a high price tag. Would have been much better if you could have entered earlier. Our priorities were rides and the shows. The NBC was awesome! There was not enough time for rides, shows characters, DJ and Hollywood Brown Derby. My family of 3 enjoyed ourselves and would go again.

I've only ever gone to the first MVMCP when I have gone and have never noticed it being an issue. I might see one or two I recognize but I have never understood all the comments about it being so awful.

I will say I typically don't eat any of the special party food (I'd rather eat before the party) and always have a plan for what I want to do as far as characters, parade, rides etc. I've never left thinking it was crazy crowded or that I didn't have fun. I've even gotten everything done that I wanted to and left a little early.

I've also done the last MNSSHP one year and felt the same way. I think if you go to the front of the castle show you'll probably see a bunch of people filming, same if you are near the flag pole for the parade. Otherwise I think they are spread out enough and there's just not as many as people think. Or I've gotten really lucky for 4 MVMCP.

I agree. Yes there will be some there but the percentage compared to the number of guests is minuscule. And, they’re often trying to stake out great spots for parades and fireworks so the few that there are won’t likely be riding attractions much if the time.

I’d be shocked is the vast majority of people who attend the first party even see a blogger/vlogger during their night and if they do, it’s kinda fun then move on.

Personally I would not weigh bloggers/vloggers, etc into my decision to attend the first party. If that’s the party you wish to attend, I’m sure you’ll have a great time!!

The last party night- do you all think we can buy tickets later next month? I saw last year sold out in October.

I’ll be buying tickets tomorrow, too, but just because I like to get plans in order. I know I could wait a while. We did our first MVMCP in 2004, and the crowd levels have certainly changed. Somethings are better, some not as good. The price definitely falls in the latter category. I miss the castle lights. They were spectacular. Frankly, I don’t care if I ever see a projection show.

We like the music, decorations, attraction overlays, and general atmosphere. We only have time for a single visit to MK this trip, so the party is it!

I miss the castle lights too and I am not a fan of projections. I am so glad I was able to see them in person on a few trips. The first time I saw them, I stood on Main St and cried!

I bought my ticket for the first MVMCP on 11/08 and talking to hubby about which park he wants to go to on Saturday after his conference is over (noon) and after mulling over going to MK he throws out Universal! Excited but man am I going to be tired (cause I'm staying until the end of MVMCP). My plan of a leisurely morning is out the window, going to have to wake up early and get myself over to Universal by 9am 😴

We’re only doing 3 days in December, so we’ll have Mickey’s party one night, stay till close, and then rope drop Animal Kingdom the next day.

Let’s wish ourselves luck! :)
