looks like a great time. Any advice on how best to use the time before the official start of the party at 7pm? We are planning to arrive around 5pm’sh. Thx
We focused on Frontierland and Adventureland since (except Jingle Cruise) they don’t have any special holiday overlays or very many decorations in those areas. Also, we bailed on lines if they were longer than we wanted to wait - for example Haunted Mansion posted 10 when we first arrived at 4, so we jumped in line. We quickly realized the line was not 10 minutes as the standby line stretched almost to the entrance, so we jumped out and did a snack stop, Liberty Belle and Pirates instead. If we had spent that first 45 minutes in line for HM instead we would have gotten less done.

At the party tonight and so far the meet and greet with Scrooge has not started yet. They let us into the tent about 6:05 but said they wouldn’t meet until 7. I assumed they would do 6:30 anyway based on the first post but alas… just warning to future go-ers! Friar’s Nook said they would reopen around 6/6:15. I was in line there before my husband called me saying we were moving so I’m not sure exactly when it opened.

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out a dcl cruise and 1 day at epcot and 1 night at mvmcp for next year and I have a question that was asked last year but I don't remember what was said about it. If you get your mvmcp tickets from undercover tourist are they refundable if you get them more than 30 days from the party? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. 🎄

Tiana was down for almost the entire party. I looked at the app after the 2nd parade and it was running! Got in line at 11:44, posted 50 minutes but was more like 30. Quite a few people who had apparently had LL passes earlier in the day were going through that line. Barely got wet.

Columbia Harbor House had a plain chocolate chip cookie (not the caramel pretzel one) :(

Other than that I had a good night. Easy to find a good spot for the fireworks 10 minutes before. My lunch at Geyser Pt was quicker than I thought so I got in line at 3, only 6 people in front of me. They let us through the tapstyles early and gave us wristbands, but then held us before the tunnel.

That’s a bummer about the cookie! I wonder if they could be completely out for the rest of the parties? We go on Friday and we were really looking forward to trying it.

Don't miss the cookie stop in PhilharMagic, Snickerdoodle, and it's sneaky, no inflated candy cane. We went after fireworks and it was empty, we were the only ones in there.
Also over at Sunshine Tree kind of sneaky too with no inflatable candy cane, a mint sugar which was surprisingly good.

The pretzel cookie was no more Sunday as well. :(

Quick recap:
We went Dec 8th, arrived around 4:40.
I got Tron and SDMT LL for prior to our dinner at Tony's at 5:55. Did those between 5-5:40. (party ticket only)
After we ate, we did Pirates, and the cookie stop.
We did Tiana around 7:30, pretty much a walk on, maybe 5 minutes. We wore ponchos :)
Did BTMR, maybe 5 minutes. Then heading for our parade spot at 8.

My plan of 1st parade in Frontierland, right around the corner of the tunnel where the bathrooms are, worked fantastic. We watched parade at the wooden railing right there, took the tunnel to Adventureland after the parade, walked thru stores on Mainstreet, they let us cross thru parade, (we crossed right after Elsa float) walked back around on Mainstreet to dessert party. Had plenty of time for desserts before heading to garden.

We had pretty low waits for rides and a few characters after fireworks, and we did a few more cookie stops.
Space maybe 4 min wait once we got to line to load, TLS walk on, DD29 pic with Aurora and Prince (for my granddaughter since she is her fav and didn't come this trip) 5 min wait, PP 10 min wait, Pooh and friends pic 10 min wait, got there right as they were breaking, but didn't take long, then Tweedle Dee & Dum maybe 5 min.
Did a few picture spots as well. The one with the special lighting swirl cane thing, don't move. There were 4 of us, and someone barely moved in each pic, so were slightly blurry. :( It's pretty cool too.

We had a great time, but I am still a bigger fan of MNSSHP and BTY. :)

Oh no...so sorry you missed that one. My daughter and I were at the 11/17 party and we were SO excited when we found it, the cast member gave us a second one for being so happy. We saved our extra one for a plane snack on the flight home.

It’s OK, I liked the gingerbread and peppermint cookies a lot. After reading comments here, I asked for 2 at every stop, some places gave me 3 spontaneously! My gingerbread popcorn bucket worked great to store them in.

That was the longest line all night long. We ended up going through twice because that sounded like a perfect cookie for me .......... but sadly was disappointed (didn't try it until after party. The pretzel part was stale and the "caramel" was a hard pellet kind of thing. Could be they had been delivered long ago but was a bummer.

For anyone interested you can get all these cookies delivered to you, all the exact same flavors ...

Not normally a big gingerbread but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. OOOO wish we had peppermint ones but did not. 2 sugar, gingerbread, red velvet and caramel pretzel choc chip.

We went to the MVMCP on Dec 13. It was a sold out party, but wait times for rides were not bad at all! The longest we waited was probably 20 minutes but most were walk on. Tron was the longest, it was a posted 45 minute wait but took 15-20 minutes.

The cookie lines moved fast and we have a shopping bag full of cookies from the party!

We didn’t focus much on characters but did stitch after the 8:30 parade, line moved fast - maybe 10 minutes.

We showed up in the main hub right in front of the castle at 8:25 and got a spot for the 8:30 parade - not front row but still great viewing.

We didn’t time a ride correct and watched the fireworks from outside the speedway ride, so we didn’t see the castle projections but saw the fireworks great.

Overall it was a fantastic night and would definitely do it again!

My almost 5 year old fell asleep at 10:40 after the fireworks, and my 6.5 year old stayed up all party and fell asleep on the bus home.

We arrived to MK a little before 4:30, no line to get in. We left MK around 11:45pm!

We did the 12/15 party and it was a great night! We rode a ton of rides and got a ton of cookies. The caramel pretzel ones were in a sneaky unmarked spot near Peter Pan. I haven’t tried them all yet but the gingerbread was delicious.

Tiana’s was down for a long time, but we happened to be over that way right before the first parade stepped off and noticed they had started running test logs. We waited there and watched the start of the parade and then they opened up and we literally walked on, it was amazing. They took a bit to update the app to show it was up, so anyone who was in the area and observant benefitted from a really short wait.

All in all my count was that we rode 14 rides, watched all the entertainment (at least partway, we didn’t watch all of everything), got a bunch of cookies, and ate some party-specific food. Couldn’t ask for a better night!

Darn we were there that night and wanted those cookies but never saw the Peter Pan location. Disappointed they didn’t let people know

Thanks for the report! We are going to the last party on Friday night and are beyond excited that we it is finally in sight!
I have a question about the caramel pretzel cookies near Peter Pan. Was there another cookie at Columbia Harbour House or is the actually location of that cookie spot outside there where you found it?

On the 15th they gave out chocolate chip at Columbia harbor house

on the 8th and 10th the two extra locations were PhilhArmonic and the dole whip place in adventureland. so 7 stops total.

They handed them out at thr dole whip spot but I looked at philharmagic and didn’t see them there. My daughter loved the red velvet ones and I asked for 2 there. She regretted not getting 2 and went back around again and told them she loved it so much she came back for another and they gave her 4 lol. That was at pecos bill.

Went to the party on 12/17. First MVMCP for us. We had done a Halloween party, back in (I believe) 2016.

Overall, a good time. However, must echo what has been said countless times before - they sell waaaay too many tickets for these parties. So crowded. Felt no different that a regular operating day. 90+ minutes - basically 1/3 of the party - for character greets???!!! We certainly could not justify that. Did a few rides during party hours, mostly in Tomorrowland. Space and Speedway for the holiday additions and Tron since we had yet to ride it. Also did Jingle Cruise. None were walk-ons. Got a few of the cookies but unfortunately never went through Fantasyland to get the ones from CHH or by Philharmagic.

Always wanted to do a MVMCP, and now we've crossed it off the list. I never say never, but it's probably more likely that we will not do another. At least, not anytime soon. It just seems you have to completely prioritize one or two aspects and then blow off the rest. You want to do the unique character meets? Fine, but you will likely have to forego seeing the parade and fireworks, and stage show. And vice versa, you want to make sure you see the fireworks and parade (which probably should be shortened)? You can't be waiting in those character meets lines.

This probably won’t be very helpful since parties are almost over but we went last night 12/19 and had the absolute best time.

We’re at Disney for four days to do MVMCP and Jollywood and so our only priority was riding ride.

It was myself, husband, and three teenage kids.

We took the boat from the Poly about 3:20 and the line to get into the party was nutso.

We got bracelets at 4:09 according to my photo stamp. The bypass was super fun and high energy. Family picture in front of the castle at 4:15.

My notes from the night
SMALL WORLD walk on
Pirates posted 5 actual 10 (time went up as we were in line)
Country bears
Pecos Bill mobile order
Haunted Mansion - stretching room and walk on
Speedway - walk on
Space - posted 20 actual 22
Cookie
Cookie
Barnstormer - walk on, rode twice
Santa - maybe 10 minutes
Seven dwarves posted 25 actual 32 (time went up while we were in line
Tron posted 45 waited 41 (time went down while we were in line) parade was wrapping
Cookie
Seven during fireworks posted 20 actual 18
Cookie
BTMR posted 10 / 8
10:51 sitting on the bridge to watch the parade
Tiana walked right onto boat
Two rides on BTMR - walked on right at midnight

We sort of kept an eye out for the pretzel cookie but didn’t see it. We didn’t go out of our way to get cookies but got them when we saw them. We ended up with green sugar cookies, peppermint pink, chocolate chip, and snickerdoodle.

We were so happy we did the party. Multiple times we remarked on how much space there was around us as we walked around. We did not go down Main Street until we left and only went through the hub twice. We were definitely there to ride rides and not so much else.

Definitely put us in the holiday spirit!
