No. After DHS closes for the day the Skyliner normally runs for about 1 hour and then all transportation swaps to buses. The friendship boats also stop running at some point.
Thank you for sharing this info - I did not realize that was the case. We are staying at BC, and I just assumed we would hop on the boat or skyliner after the party. Bummer!

We'll be at Boardwalk. This actually just changed my mind about buying Jollywood tickets. We're now going to just skip it and stick with MVMCP during the part of our trip where we're at The Contemporary. That walk is much shorter at the end of the night. Really glad I didn't already buy them.

Well, that's disappointing but one good thing is I'm not concerned about staying at the BW resorts for our upcoming December trip anymore and doing JN. I'll just keep my reservation for either OKW or GDT.

Last year it was a VQ but I've seen verbiage this year that it will be a standby line. Whether or not it will be a walk-on, I don't know.
Last year, we did RotR a little before JN party hours began. The standby line wasn't too bad compared to normal; it was maybe 20-30 minutes wait. I don't think that I've ever been so nicely dressed while riding RotR before. 🤵‍♂️

I remember reading some reports that during party hours, Oga's was a ghost town. I enjoy having a drink at Oga's, but I completely understand that. Maybe RotR will have a short line? You're paying a heck of a premium for the JN tickets, and I spent most of my night doing things exclusive to the party.

I bought my MVMCP & JN tickets. See everybody there. :-)

Those who’ve done MVMCP before: how early do people line up for the 4pm entry?

I’ve seen comments about the line stretching all the way back to the Contemporary walking path.

If we arrive to line up at 3:30, is that reasonable to avoid the worst of the line? Or should it be more like 3:00?

It may vary a bit by party date and weather but if you arrive at 3:30, I would expect at least 100 guests ahead of you but I wouldn’t think you’d be anywhere near the contemporary. I think we arrived around 4:30 for the Christmas party last year (with no wait) after having a miserable experience arriving around 3:45 for the Halloween party.

Unless you want to get in right at four to get in line for one of the most popular meet and greets, the best time to miss the rush is a little after 4.

If we have length of stay hoppers can we enter through regular line and just get a wristband in the park if the party line at entrance is too long?

Actually, my Jollywood ticket was only $10 more than a day ticket to DHS. I will definitely be riding my favorite rides.

What kind of wait times should we expect for for rides and characters (minus the rare ones)? I read somewhere the party capacity is around 30/35k at MK and some people said rides were walk on but others said wait times were like 45 minutes so I’m trying to get an estimate on what to expect.

I want to get most the rides done during the day (and do the holiday overlay ones at the party) and do the characters at the party that my kids enjoy but mainly take in the shows and parades and the special events the party has to offer - mixing in some rides with lower wait times (their favorite rides are big thunder, space mountain, pirates, buzz, mine train, to name a few).

No interest in character meets, just hoping to maximize the 8 hours we’ve paid $275/person (Cdn) for…

If we can arrive a little after 4, that sounds petty good. Thanks!

This is a tough one. Some of this will depend on which party you go to. First, last, weekend, weekday will all have different crowd levels (though maybe not very different if all nights sell out). Jungle Cruise has inflated wait times normally, so I'd guess that Jingle Cruise would see the same.

The ride/character lines will also likely go down during parades/shows/fireworks.

Last year's schedule:
Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration (Cinderella Castle Stage)
  • 7:40 p.m., 9:25 p.m., 10:35 p.m., 11:55 p.m.
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade (starts in Frontierland and ends at the front of the park):
  • 8:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks (over Cinderella Castle):
  • 10:00 p.m.
Frozen Holiday Surprise (Cinderella Castle Stage):
  • 8:15 p.m.
There were a few other shows in 2023 (Reindeer Wranglers, and dance parties at Tomorrowland stage) that apparently have not been officially confirmed for 2024. The times listed above were from last year, so they may be slightly different this year.

Many folks may try to plan:
  1. 10 pm fireworks--10:35 pm stage show--11 p.m. parade or
  2. 8:15 pm Frozen show--8:30 p.m. parade--9:25 pm stage show--10 p.m. fireworks
This allows people to pick a spot in front of the castle and just hang out for 1.5-2 hours. Between 8:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. has the highest density of exclusive parades/shows, and so will likely be the shortest lines.

From there you just have to think about which events are must-dos for you and your family. If you're willing to watch the fireworks show from somewhere besides the front of the castle (Seeing them from TBA, BTM, or 7DMT can be fun!) you'll get the shortest wait times.

Depends. It was pretty long last time I went at 3:30pm. I personally don't see the point anymore of getting there early. At 4:10pm, its basically clear without waiting

The first Monday of MVMCP is also Veteran's Day and I cannot decide whether to get tickets for that night or Tuesday night.

Do you think it would be more crowded on that first Monday night due to the federal holiday?

I think it will be more crowded due to bloggers!

It’s going to be the same “crowded” at every party as they will all sell out and the attendance cap for them is the same regardless of day of the week. It’s not like one has 30K people and another has 10K. They’re all the same.

The first party will certainly be more chaotic as, well, it’s the first of the season, and bloggers will be blogging and vloggers will be vlogging. That chaos and a bit of disorganization until they get their grove may make it feel more crowded.
