"Official" 2024 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

I loved when they had the CMs in the ride. Back in 2018 or 2019, when we last did MNSSHP, we were riding pirates and we got to the part where the boat goes under one of the bridges and a cast member was sitting on the bridge. I was talking to my daughter and telling her we were going to try to see the 7 dwarves after that ride and that hopefully the line would be shorter. The CM heard me and said "if you believe that, you really ARE living in a fantasy land" :rotfl2:

Is there a list of times/places where you can meet and greet the characters? I read where people said Jack Skellington and Sally were at 4PM. Do they give you a list when you get your wristband?

What’s this? What’s this? There’s a Scary Teddy Premium Popcorn Bucket coming to Magic Kingdom Park! Starting September 2, this bucket will be available while supplies last during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! Coming later to Disneyland Resort too!

Oh sure…now I’m annoyed we didn’t choose this date for our party😂

We'll be going to the party in September. Our group is going as Pirates. Do they allow you to carry in plastic knives or swords for the costume? Or are props like those not allowed? What about Captain Hook's hook?
Went to the party Friday night as Captain Hook with a prop hook (plastic) and had zero problems. No one questioned it-not even security.

I've searched thru and do not recall seeing exactly "when" we can purchase the party exclusive food. Is it exactly at 7pm at the official party start or can we start to purchase when the park closes at 6pm? Sorry if this has already been posted, but I couldn't find anything o_O

For those who don't want to see the parade, avoid the bridge walkway along the route in Frontierland when it's going on. DH and I got off BTMRR tonight and walked towards Liberty Square to go to the Haunted Mansion shortly after the parade started, but got stuck until it was over because people refused to move and people parked their double wide strollers there causing even more blockage. CMs weren't helpful and laughed it off when someone finally was able to push through and find them. They were saying there's nothing they can do. It was a safety hazard. This left a horrible taste in our mouths.

Yeah—it was a complete mess when we were there last week. We thought we’d find a spot to watch in Frontierland/liberty Square but it was a nightmare. I would recommend only watching the 2nd parade for those interested

Odd question... is the Haunted Mansion store open during the party or should we head back to it before hand?

Thanks!

How often does the second Boo to You parade get cancelled? Or is there a way to predict the cancellation? I would love to avoid the crowds but do not want to miss out if something were to happen :(

Is it true that we can buy the exclusive party merchandise in the stores before 7pm if we have the wrist band? My daughter wants to get pins and I want to get a shirt. I would love to check one thing off the list early! :genie:

Also, how long has the line been to meet Mirabel and Bruno? Does that start before 7pm?

Are there any new elements in the parade?

no

it's hard to say, because it depends on the weather

Yes. I was able to buy the glass pumpkin and 2 party shirts at 4pm

We went to the party last night and had a great time. However, we do agree that the crowds in Frontierland after the 8:15pm parade were kind of scary. We got our spot about 35 minutes before the parade (front row). People were crowding us prior to the parade, but we stood our ground and kept our spot. I wanted to get a drink, but I dared not leave because I knew my husband wouldn't be able to keep my spot without a lot of trouble. After the parade was just nasty. We literally could not take a single step for a few minutes. Then, we were able to start walking towards Liberty Square, but it was slow going with no breathing room. One woman literally pushed my husband (who is quite tall) out of her way. I was gobsmacked, but told my husband to let it go. Once we got to Haunted Mansion, the crowds subsided, but wow!! It was ROUGH.

We just don't like to do the second parade, because that last hour of the night is so great for characters, rides and trick or treating. I don't want to give that hour up to the parade. But after this year, we may reconsider for next year....

I am so sorry, especially to your poor husband :( Sounds awful. It's so sad. Boo to You is my favorite parade but we had a similar experience in Frontierland in 2019 and it caused quite a bit of stress for us, too. I think I'm going to skip it this year and plan to spend some time in Fantasyland & Tomorrowland during the parade times.
