(not so) patiently waiting for a party map....i kind of thought that these came out day of, not just handed out during party but like, day of the party as in - this morning?

I can't believe the first party is already tonight!!

Incredible that the map hasn't even been posted yet on the HUB, I have to head out soon but I will check before I do.
Anyways the locations are pretty much explained in the first post, but I know you all like to see the map.
Have a fun night tonight and don't let the forecast damper your party :)

Going to MVMCP tonight! So excited!

The Christmas tree popcorn buckets that were reported as party exclusive- someone got something wrong lol. We purchased all of these at AK yesterday.

The tree buckets are also available in Disney Springs at the Christmas tree trail and for day guests at MK today !
Really hoping they are still available when we go next month

I'm liking the classic/New Short Mickeys on the merch. I wonder if - if the Fireworks follow the Halloween show's example - those characters will be in the projections?

We've attended several MVMCP in the past but have never done the dessert party. I'm looking at the Plaza viewing option but wondering if its worth the price? I just want to have a spot to watch the fireworks without having to fight the crowds, so I'm wondering how early we would need to get to the dessert party for a good spot? Also, is the area marked off to view from good for children?

This is the angle from the Terrace. It is an angle, obviously, so the fireworks aren't quite centered around the castle. You also lose a bit of the lower part of the castle. It's very pretty spot, though. I hadn't looked it up before now. Seems like maybe a better place to eat during the day than fireworks, but I leave that open for personal preference.

For us, yes, it’s worth the price to not have to fight the crowds. If the new show is projection heavy like HEA and the new MNSSHP show, the garden will be a much better view than the terrace. We usually head to the garden 30 minutes early as I’m particular about by spot, but there’s plenty of room in the garden and really no bad views, outside of a few light posts. I have 2 kids and they’ve never had a problem seeing from the garden - in fact, they’re usually lying in the “grass.” I’d wait to see what the new show looks like tonight, but if your goal is avoiding crowds, you won’t be disappointed with the party!

Just FYI, that is the view from the Tomorroland Terrace version of the party. The Plaza Garden version viewing area is in the Hub with more of a straight on view. The below were taken in the Plaza Garden viewing area at MNSSHP this year.

I'm attending the very last MVMCP so unlikely that much of the party-exclusive merchandise will still be available. BUT, in an effort to increase any chances, I have a couple questions, if anyone knows:
3. For the items that are party-exclusive and only forhe same locations (Emporium, Star Traders and Big Top Souvenirs; pins at Frontier Trading Post) or others?
Passholder pins were available at Big Top during MMSSHP - I did not check the other locations. At Big Top they were at the registers, however, not in the MNSSHP merchandise location (which is roped off prior to 7 and you need to show your band to enter).

Would you mind sharing the exact spot that you like in the plaza?

We are at the point where we won't watch any fireworks in MK without booking the party. We typically check-in for the party about 45 minutes prior to fireworks time. At that point, the crowds for the buffet have diminished and it doesn't take us very long to eat our desserts (we aren't huge dessert fans - mostly there for the view!) We then head to the garden about 30 minutes prior to show time. We've been doing this party for several years now and my DS (who is now 12) has always had a good view.
