Official 2011 MNSSHP Party Planning Thread ..BOO to You and You..Happy Halloween!

Seriously, where is the like button for these posts? :rotfl:

LOL! The sad part is that I walked into the living room singing that song and my daughter looked at me like I was from another planet. And SHE is my Mary Poppins buddy! Of course, it WAS early....and she was getting ready for school..........

I feel late to the party, but I read all 89 pages before posting:banana:
planning on going to the party on 11/1 because it is the day after we arrive and thought it would be fun for DS to do for his birthday:yay:
I wonder if it will sell out again this year being on a Monday:wizard:

I'll be taking my two 4 year old grandkids to MNSSHP this year and wanted to ask a question about the candy - they will love trick-or-treating through the park, but will in no way need to have most of the candy they will gather - is there a way to let them enjoy getting the candy, but give it back later in the night? I don't want to be wasteful, but with concern about tainted candy, I understand that putting it back wouldn't necessarily be "safe".

Any suggestions?

I would bring them small treat bags. If they are young enough once they will see that small bag full and think they've scored big! :thumbsup2

Just saw this on FB today:

Orlando Attractions Magazine:
Some changes at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party this year include new candy stations in Tomorrowland (by Space Mountain and Tomorrowland Terrace), an expanded Villains Mix & Mingle, and the Treat Trail, which used to lead from Toontown to Space Mountain, will be set up by Splash Mountain.

Expanded VM&M woot woot! :cool1:

We're going Halloween night and I think hubby and I are going to dress up as Peter Pan and Wendy and the baby will be Tink :goodvibes

Ok, I can't stand the wait any longer and I still have a few weeks to go! :hyper: I find myself constantly checking the boards just to find any piece of info to keep my fix going...I seriously need some help.

we are going on Halloween this year,so excited......11 of total and we are all going as pirates aargghh.....only 58 days till we arrive.....yee haaa

:welcome: I do the same thing, read everything before posting. It can take a long time!

I would assume the party on 11/1 would sell out. Have you ordered your tickets already?

My DH and son are going as Indianna Jones, they both have whips are they allowed to bring these in, DH wants to attach them to their belt somehow. I guess you probably can bring these in but I wanted to make sure first! Thanks! :)

I didn't see anywhere that said pins and pictures are gone....just face painting

What the PP means is that when MNSSHP begin years ago, guests were given free commemorative pins and a free print of a Photopass picture. Those have now been taken away just like the free face painting has. I did like how Disney said that guests are welcome to book appointments at the Pirates League or BBB to make up for the free face painting being taken away. Sure, paying $30-$100 is just as good as free. :rolleyes1 And, good luck finding an open appointment.

Ok, the first party needs to hurry up and get here. I need to get a fix too! I need updates and advice and all of the above!! My countdown is finally in the 30s; I think I'm going to pass out from excitement.

Just having joined I amm SOOO late here, but we (5 or 6 adults) will be going October 20.

The first year we went on the 31st and I never felt over crowded; but maybe that was because we didn't stay on Main Street (I may not have read every post, but I did a good job of skimming.)

This is the first year (we've gone three years) that DH and I will be wearing costumes: generic pirate lass (me) musketeer (He) we weren't planning on weapons; more for the keeping up with than the less violence aspect.
